I read somewhere that he had a criminal record and a known history of racism and general bigotry. Dunno what happened to him after the marvelous incident. Hopefully brain damage.
I believe he was jailed for a few weeks, and got a life ban from the grounds. This included a meltdown in court where he threatened a judge or something...
NEW non-executive director Bryan Glazer jetted into Hong Kong today ahead of the first match of Manchester United's 10-day Far East tour. Link
As it's been conceded here that the Glazers recognize the revenue/profit potential of the Asian market, it's likely he's there to see the reaction first hand. What he'll do with that is the real question. As for the apathy quoted by Motter, the're fans, not supporters, and I submit that there is a difference. Supporters are more ardent and identify with the team more closely. Fans are more distant and car only about the teams wins, loses and polularity. They really won't care about what the Glazers do as long as the team remains popular and wins.
I picked up the latest copies of WSC and World Soccer and both have great articles on the Glazer takeover and what it means for the club, as well as the Prem if/when Glazer can't repay his debt. If you haven't kept up with the issues both of these articles make it clear how it all came to this, and how serious the future is. One added bonus, the WSC article has a timelines that speculates three scenarios, "Worst Case", "Best Case" and "What Will Probably Happen". Two of the three are not very good.
According to a red over in Hong Kong, a lot fewer fans to greet United at the airport. About 7,000 empty seats (capacity 40,000) at the match. Brian Glazer leaves before the match is over.
