“When I started working with Brazil, Tite [the coach] sent me to watch Firmino at Burnley and he was incredible. You see him play [on TV] and think: ‘Yeah, he’s very good.’ But at the ground? Wow. He does so much. I left there enamoured. The ball’s on the other side and you see him move, the generosity with which he links teammates, how he never lost the ball – that’s incredibly hard in the Premier League. If you say ‘I want 40 goals,’ maybe he’s not that striker but if you want someone complete, who generates spaces, goes outside, inside, buah! Brilliant” – Sylvinho, formerly of Arsenal and Barcelona and now a coach
2⃣0⃣0⃣Is right, Bobby 👏🔴 pic.twitter.com/5rQkV2mLKI— Liverpool FC (@LFC) February 20, 2021 I would have been happier for him a year ago.
Roberto Firmino is 'the least-selfish striker I've ever seen in my life', admits Thiago Alcantara... as Liverpool star hails his team-mate after rare brace inspired victory at Manchester United. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...Thiago-Alcantara-Manchester-United-brace.html
Roberto Firmino was much maligned for Liverpool last season, but the narrative needs challenging. In many aspects, he continued to post elite numbers. Liverpool transfer demand forgets that Jürgen Klopp already has an elite striking option - Liverpool.com
Firmino is a near irreplaceable player, and gives us an edge that few teams have when we are playing well. Our four strikers right now - I wouldn;t swap any of those four guys for anyone, frankly....
He's also one of the few Brazilians that still plays with flair in his game. It's actually a joy to watch him play.
Speaking of Firmino - that 2nd goal the other day - what a beauty - if Messi scored that it would be a classic in the reports ...
The best in the world is Bobby Firmino. it was so fun when he came on for the Norwich game. They were lost. We were laughing.
Firmino's season has been blighted by injuries and he's had to play second fiddle to in-form Jota... Liverpool's famous front three could finally be broken up with Barcelona circling, but he STILL has a massive part to play with Salah and Mane at AFCON. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...ol-Firmino-massive-play-Salah-Mane-AFCON.html
It’s criminal that Bobby’s thread fell to page 7… Bumped the thread just to say that I love Bobby “I’m passing the phone to…” 🤣🤳 pic.twitter.com/nqwUXB21Zj— Liverpool FC (@LFC) August 3, 2022
today vs Bournemouth .... 100% successful crosses 47 touches 30 passes 14 final third passes 4 shots on target 4 key passes 3 assists 2 goals 100th goal for Liverppol wonderful player, a real legend. well done Bobby lad.
I know most talk about our midfield and defense as reasons for our poor form (they certainly contribute), but IMO, we’re missing the impact of peak Bobby. The creativity, pressing, work rate etc… I think we should consider moving Mo central - like Mane last year. He’s much more creative than Darwin or Gakpo. It’s great to see Bobby back. I don’t think he was as horrible as folks mention.
Sad! but he may have helped us out here because otherwise we'd be sinking more wages into another contract.
By brain totally agrees with you. My heart will still always sing the second line if I ever hear anyone say si, senor
and it clarifies things so we avoid months of silly rumours. good that the fans will have chances to celebrate his time with us and wish him well - most players simply disappear with no chance for any goodbyes, even from teammates.
Bobby has been hugely important during his time at Liverpool. I'll miss him. This move will always be with me. Class
