What a joy to watch this guy play... I was really skeptical about him being the number 9, but holy shit has he owned that position. Great season from him, hopefully only one of a number more in this attack under Klopp. Sign him up.
Liverpool fans will be hoping no big clubs come sniffing around for their No.9, Roberto Firmino, this summer. But the fact the Brazilian has a release clause in his contract makes the negotiation process much tougher for the Reds. Belgian outlet Le Soir, via Football Leaks reported a while back that the Brazilian has a massive €98 million euros release clause in his contract, which equates to around £83 million. http://www.sportbible.com/football/...o-be-concerned-about-firminos-clause-20180425
Just shit stirring. I am sure he knows he is a perfect fit for Klopp but that many other clubs would waste his talent. And I don’t think there is a buy out clause.
Roberto Firmino has equalled the record for the fastest player to 10 Champions League goals: Roberto Firmino (11 apps) Adriano (11 apps) Simone Inzaghi (12 apps) Wissam Ben Yedder (12 apps) Seydou Doumbia (13 apps) Didier Drogba (13 apps) George Weah (13 apps)
180,000 a week. Liverpool’s highest paid player. How does that compare to what the top players at City get paid? Is Salah getting a new deal next? Would 200,000 a week do the trick?
After a little research, Sergio Aguero makes 220 a week and Eden Hazard is Chelsea’s highest paid player at 200 a week. 180 for Firmino puts him among the highest paid players in the league. Virgil also makes 180. Salah makes 120 and Mane makes 90. Both should be given new deals to so we show our commitment to keeping the top players at our club. https://sillyseason.com/salary/liverpool-players-salaries-69073/
hopefully part of the deal will be "help us sign this kid from Brazil, Bobby". http://sportwitness.co.uk/brazil-explanation-just-exciting-rodrygo-liverpool-efforts-go-way-back/
And he signed the contract no-look at well. And since BigSoccer is having issues with loading videos: I'll link a story with the video in the article: http://www.benchwarmers.ie/featured...t-with-no-look-signature/180292/#.WuaYmIiFNhE
Firmino. We've been reading a lot since the start of the season how various teammates, players and pundits have proclaimed him the glue that holds Liverpool together, defending from the front, setting up Salah and Mane and banging them in himself. I was very interested to read Wijnaldum's comments after the 3-0 loss to Barca where he took the Bobby role for the night and largely failed, or at least had a significantly lesser influence; in the dressing room afterwards he turned to Firmino and said, “What the heck are you doing in that position?! It’s unbelievable! It’s so intense!” Keen observers of the team know how good Firmino is, how important he is and that really there's no real replacement for him when he gets injured. Except hope. He's a deep lying No. 9, except he's a lot more than that; he's a link between the midfield and the forwards, except he's a lot more than that; he's the player who makes life easy for Salah and Mane, except he's a lot more than that; he is usually the first line of defense, except he's a lot more than that. I would say he's the closest thing to Dalglish we've had since King Kenny retired. How close? Only time will tell, I suppose, but rather close indeed.
