So now you’re saying that Some Christians vote for crime? I don’t say this lightly: when we escape this Trump hell, America needs a Presidential Crimes Commission. It should be made up of independent prosecutors who look at those who enabled a corrupt president. Example 1: Sabotaging the mail to win an election. #SaveThePostOffice— Rep. Trump’s calculated dismantling of USPS proves one thing clearly: He is WELL AWARE that we do not want him as our president. He’s chosen to blatantly cheat and put millions of Americans’ lives at risk in an effort to hold on to power.— Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) August 15, 2020
The mukluks who ran this hit piece still have not disclosed the author's conflict of interest (he ran against Harris in 2010 and lost), nor that Newsweek's op-ed editor is aligned with the author via various conservative think-tanks.Sooo... it's still editorial malpractice. https://t.co/BHoTjD6iFk— Doug Farrar ✍ (@NFL_DougFarrar) August 15, 2020

At this point, giving the Post Office even $25 billion is not sufficient. We need to have very specific instructions about the required staffing & sorting machines - subject to criminal penalty for Board Members & the Postmaster General if they fail to implement. @davidplouffe https://t.co/vm6tCzArge— Ro Khanna (@RoKhanna) August 16, 2020
Christian Nation priorities!!! So let me get this straight: We can afford billions on new F-35s, but we can’t afford to fund the USPS to deliver medicine to veterans and seniors?— Robert Reich (@RBReich) August 16, 2020
Of top six, only NC allows mail ballots to be postmarked on E-Day. AZ/FL*/MI/PA/WI require them to be in on that day. Yes, we need ballots returned early. Dropped off physically. Early voting and 11/3 in person. But return delays could be fatal. Dems must play for keeps on USPS.— David Plouffe (@davidplouffe) August 17, 2020
GOP loves vets to death: THREAD: Postal Service policy changes are taking a toll on military veterans, whose mail-order medications are delayed. Here's a snapshot of what I've heard:Florida: Vietnam combat vet ordered COPD prescription 10 days ago and was told it'll "probably" arrive around September 9— Geoff Bennett (@GeoffRBennett) August 16, 2020
haha the f-35 is a goverment program for white people. Most of the military complex is. While the people fighting might be poor. The people thinking up the death machines are not. United technologies makes things the military doesn’t want or need. To provide high paying jobs in CT and Mass. this happens because of lobbying and big state senators using their power to help their part of the country. No different than coal mining other than coal mining is garbage job. instead the goverment could put all our power lines and internet wires under ground so that when we have storms we don’t lose power for a fking week!!! 90% of CT last power two weeks ago during the tropical storm. It’s was just windy. That is unacceptable. We didn’t get hit like other states why does it take 1 week for people to get power back. also 0 electricians in the area. Like every time we lose power Eversource(electric provider) brings people from canada. Is it because it’s cheaper or because In this part of the country the skilled labor isn’t there. That is a high paying job.
LOL. You’re conflating two things but you are kind of right. 1. A great jobs program would be to update our infrastructure with green energy and part of it could be to bury electricity lines, but also to install a ton of solar panels and create wind farms. The money will flow to the working class instead of military contractors. 2. One week isn’t bad to wait for electricity and yeah, part of it is that there’s only so many contractors and they are moving from state to state fixing the grid, but they can only fix so many things in a day and then move to the next town. Also, unless the whole grid is protected, having some lines underground doesn’t prevent blackouts; during Maria our electricity went out and even though the lines in our development are buried, the issue was with the lines arriving to the FPL central, and yes, it took them about a week to fix it.
Yea man but in CT. We had sort of fast wind gust. The amount of damage to the system was because it was too old!! Out of date and not maintained we lost power because trees feel on the power lines knocking them off. I have solar in my house and lost it as well. Called the company and they said they have to shut off the power because when they fix the power to the rest of the street it could kill the guy fixing it. that def not something they mentioned especially since I have 2 batteries in my house. Which was super annoying. It only lasted 2 days on my street tho with little kids it felt like a life sentence.
