I am officially over Matt Jordan.

After Countess' perfomance against LA a couple weeks ago - I put down my torch for Matt Jordan.

I wished Burn HQ had re-signed Jordan, but at least in this case, they knew what they were doing. Countess is a great keeper and hopefully he will only get better.

I second that. I was veeeery scared of seeing Mattie sign overseas. But Countess has done very well ...

He's kept us in every game so far this year.

Like the emotional outbursts he exhibits after making great saves

It was especially enlightening to see him so pumped up after the Mexico victory. He was jumping up and down, clapping and very vocal...

I wonder if he can do a pregame routing that would get himself psyched up for every game like that...

Maybe Yoga's not the answer, but his athleticism is amazing when he's motivated.

He definitely seems to be a vocal-type leader, which this team needs badly. A few games ago, I remember seeing him in the pregame huddle during the opening credits of the broadcast, apparently giving some kind of fire and brimstone speech. He looked like the quarterback in a football huddle calling the play.

As mentioned, he's backing up the talk pretty well too. I think he could have done a little better on the second goal by Convey (I'm not saying it was an easy save mind you), but other than that nothing soft has gone in at all. And he's made a hell of a lot of tough reflex saves to keep this team in games despite a defense that still makes me cringe.

This guy is the epitomy of self confidence. I love it. By 2010 it's going to be between him and Howard, and DJ's a significantly better distributor of the ball than Howard is...

    Congrats to DJ.

And, while I don't want to hurt my shoulder patting myself on the back, I do want to say "I told ya' so."
