Was that actually him or Can? There was a run down the right wing towards the end that the announcer said was Gio but my eyes said it was actually Can. Unfortunately, I deleted it from the DVR before I read the post. Gio looks so comfortable out there... it is pretty impressive. But Hazard had the game he needed after struggling a little bit... so I don't see Gio getting a start unless there are additional injuries or the team drops out of the title race completely. I hope I am wrong and Favre actually gives him a start... because he has earned it IMO. But in the end... it is the following season where we should expect the giant break through.
Was he the inspiration for the movie "The Nutty Nut / The Nuthouse? What a divisive movie that was. All males love it and all women hate it with a passion.
When one wonders what it takes to be a professional soccer player, one only needs to compare leg muscles to a pro. Extra-human size. The kid can prob squat about 500. His bench press may be a little less impressive, but with the training they do now probably not by much less.
He's got some thick ass trunks already I'll give him that. At his age I was training for FB and then low level college baseball and was easily doing 300x5 and similar. But yea he's not training like a powerlifter. I bet they do plenty of squats but it's all "variable load" style stuff with machines to measure his explosion through the movement. That said, I hope he gets into today and BVB advance. Let's go!

Gio did so well in his 1st CL appearance... really hoping he gets 20+ minutes in this one... preferably with the game on the line. Hazard came through over the weekend so I am interested to see if he can put two great games together.
