Subbed out. Have to think that's because of the upcoming qualifiers.

For sure. Announcers discussed where he would play for the USMNT.... not sure how you could watch him in attacking center midfield and not want him there. He was great for his age last season in the BL but he looks downright fantastic in this duel 8/10 role he plays w/ Reus. USMNT has him labeled as a forward but I want him at CAM. At any rate... it is really hard to believe he is only 18. So remarkable. He certainly seems to be on a trajectory where he could become the best offensive player ever to suit up for the US. Early days... but the talent is undeniable.

Wow. Wow. BvB give up an 90th min equalizer. Then guess who shows up and shows his magic? The tall blonde dude and they go up 3-2 in extra time. Goddamn. I could never been a hardcore BvB. I would have a massive heart attack every damn game. They are so exciting to watch but man my health could not take being a supporter.:)

Berhalter has said that both Reyna and Aaronson could play centrally in the upcoming matches.

Yeah... BVB is running a pretty interesting lineup formation right now... kind of like a 4-4-2... google has it as a diamond:

    upload_2021-8-27_13-51-51.png

As you watch them play it is clear that the 8s and 10 interchange throughout the game and only Dahoud stays home at the 6. You see wingers switch sides all the time in games but BVB seems to be doing it with the three attacking midfielders.

I feel like dortmund really need Can or Witsel to play the 6 in this system. They are leaking in goals left and right

he played all over, I could be wrong but he was given the old reus role I thought: Just pop up all over and get into dangerous areas. that they give him such freedom at 18 is amazing. what a player.

I think it’s almost a forgone conclusion that he will be the best American at this point. By the next World Cup he will probably be ahead of Pulisic in the eyes of most analysts/knowledgeable fans. He’s just so unbelievably polished, and has great physical potential.

His 1st touch might not technically be as good as Pulisic's but his strength and balance are so much better than it makes it more effective. There's no way Pulisic gets that shot off.

I know what you mean, but that two touch goal against stuttgart last year was incredible. His touch into turns are also fantastic, but I know what you mean when the get say a drilled pass into their feet on the ground type of thing.

I believe the announcers also said he was the youngest to score 6 goals in Germany, beating the record set by Pulisic.

Eh. I’d pretty confidently have the take that he’s more technical and has a better touch than CP.
