Gio Reyna, Joe Scally - Borussia Moenchengladbach all games pbp thread 25/26

1-1 at HT. Poor own goal by BMG with keeper in position to make save on original shot. Tillman had the one touch pass to set up the shot.

 

both goals were the direct result of some pretty poor errors

 

Scally enters match in 78 at RWB.. Will need his energy.

 

FT 1-1. Gladbach will take the point.

 

Gladbach bad turnover in the midfield and now SC Freiburg has taken a 2-0 lead. Scally still out there.

 

86th minute and Gladbach scores off a header from a corner kick, now losing 2-1. Scally still out there.

 

should have been 2-2 there, some great defending by Freiburg, last minute of added time...sigh

 

Gladbach really did not deserve a point but they nearly got one, lost 2-1.

 

0-0 in the 21st minute at Bayern. Scally at RWB but Bayern keeping him deep. Gladbach just with a half chance off a cross.

 

1-0 Bayern in 33´. About a minute earlier Scally made a run with the ball down the middle of the pitch but didn’t have much help and lost the ball.

 

2-0 Bayern seconds before end of first half. BMG gave up a great counter opportunity and Bayern took it well. Looking bad for Gladbach but good for Reyna minutes.

 

doubt it, now down to ten men and 3-0 down...sigh

 

Red card to BMG and pk for Bayern makes it 3-0. Reitz with RC.

 

Could get to 6-0 easily if Bayern cares to.

17 yr old Mohya scores for Gladbach to pull one back make it 4-1 in closing minutes.

 

Fantastic free kick goal 1-0 BMG.

 

2 subs on, neither of them Gio. Not that it was expected.

Game is pretty boring, Scally exists on the field but has not done anything of note positive or negative.

Announcers inform me Scally has a 100% escape rate so what do I know.

 

Scally does well to keep the ball in play at the end line cuts it back to a teammate who buries it low far post.

Nice assist.

 

Commentator also praised him for moving into central positions when Gladbach has the ball

Gio on in the 85' and immediately gets hammered. Gets up slowly

 

0-0 in 79’. Gladbach holding on for dear life with keeper making lots of saves. Scally busy Reyna on bench. Just as I type thar, RBL scores. Reyna’s chances to come on just went up exponentially. Scally not great on the goal.
