This is just the logical follow up to Linds's Christmas Presents thread. Personally... I guess I'll give myself a season ticket. Notice the "a" preceding "ticket".
Unfortuneatley I won't have the money until February. Wait until then, and then you got someone next to you.
I bought myself a season ticket too. But it's a special ticket: N3, row 12, seat 19. That one's for Cowboy! Other than that, I didn't really expect much for Christmas. Just wanted to see my sister, her husband, and my nieces and nephews. And get out of San Jose for a bit. I got all that. So all the rest is just extras.
too bad the Quakes couldn't get their act together for more cool gear. I could go for: - an away jersey, long or short sleave - any of the warm-up gear - next year's gear (assuming they changed it) I wonder if they could have made some money on this stuff if they'd had it ready? Since they didn't have the goods... it's Nordstrom Half-Yearly Men's Sale for me.
I'm going to pick up the new Quakes jerseys once they come out. Maybe the short sleeve home and a long sleeve away. I don't know who I want for name/number. I'm think either: Mulrooney, Agoos, Barrett, Donovan or Ekelund.
I'll buy myself a new jersey once they come out. The number on it will be 333, and the name will be (well, it's not really a name, but it's BETTER!) WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! All us woo hoo girls are gonna get one with our fav #'s and woo hoo as the "name"
Little details like this make a big difference in marketing, MLS needs to take a page from the NBA and MLB as far as merchandising goes, Shamelessly pimp this crap and get some of these friggin Rap or Pop stars to start sporting some MLS gear, O-Town just isn't cutting it. Christina Aguilera wearing a strategically torn Ronnie Ekelund Quake jersey on stage would do wonders for our cause.
The merchandising certainly sucks. There really isn't a lot I would actually wear to sport the team. I'm always trying to sell the team, but if they have fugly merchandise, why should I spend money I don't have? The some decent merchandise they do have is generic, particularly for Nike. There are at least one or two sets of t-shirts that are the same design for every team, with the exception of logo and colors.
I found the coolest Quake/Adidas T-shirt with a small honeycomb pattern around the Quake/Adidas logos which were centered on the chest. It was at Marshall's. I never saw them advertised anywhere and there is no MLS trademark on it.
When did you see the t-shirt? Would it be likely that I would find it if I took a look? I have no idea where a Marshalls is in SF.
