Venezia have quickly become one of my favorite teams to watch. Its games are almost always action-packed, which seems to result from shaky defense combined excellent counterattacking play.

Took me a second.. but clever. Ain't gunna happen though. A will always be in there, B will sub for one of the M's.
he looks amazing in these highlights! wow he's already improved by leaps and bounds since leaving MLS defensively very solid in the duels imo...which has been one of his weaknesses
Yep agreed, so impressive on the ball and awareness. Seems good enough to get a foot in and poke balls away, definitely not enforcer or a physical presence. I've put him in the soft category, but hopefully I'm wrong. He landed at the perfect place though and is thriving!
Question - if Venezia stays up - does that mean they can buy a few more americans next year? or would the slots already be filled by busio, etc? is it slots every year or on an ongoing basis?
Mourinho to coaching staff: So who is this little playmaker for the other team. He is my kind of player. What a touch! Clever. Anticipates the play. Passes between the lines. What is his name? I want him. Coaching staff: Busio boss, Gianluca Busio. And he is only 19. Mourinho: Only 19? Wow....what a gem. These Italian youth players are so good technically....they have such a feel for the game...my kind of player...get him this January window...NO EXCUSES! Coaching staff: Boss...actually he is American Mourinho: American? Really? Ok...then forgot about it.
Busio has Italian citizenship, so isn't taking a foreign player spot. Here are the Serie A foreign player limit rules.
I like that he's not just getting minutes and showing he belongs a bit, He's playing every week in a key role and his team relies on him. It looks like a great situation for him so far. Hope it continues.
In today's edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport: Busio: 7 - Mezzala, regista, withdrawn playmaker. Wherever you put him, he does well. Linked defense and attack.
Yea, he’s been their best player this season. and It looks like I was wrong about their certain relegation. They still very could be but they are way better than I thought they’d be.
Same. I didn't think they were certain to be relegated, but I thought it was more likely than not, and I really wasn't expecting them to have picked up wins against multiple top half sides (Fiorentina and Roma) so early in the season already.
The need to keep stacking up points where they can. They are fun, but also (I suspect) only an injury or two away from trouble. Their squad is thin.
