I have been asked by several people here where I get my information on the club and so I thought I'd start a new thread with all of the info. (Could a moderator, RobtheAggie, stick this to the top so it stays there for our users. Thanks.)

Most people know this one but for those that don't here is the link to the Official Charlton Athletic Website: http://www.charlton-athletic.co.uk/default.ink

BBC London handles all of the match commentary and here is their link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/sport/football/charlton.shtml It contains two links for streaming commentary plus many archived interviews

The best one stop place for news is a website called "Forever Charlton". All of the Charlton news on the web are gathered here in one spot. Everything from the BBC, Sky Sports, Team Talk, the various newspapers and more is put here including Charlton news from other clubs' websites. The website also includes links to plenty of other Charlton websites, blogs, forums and other things. This should be your first stop for your daily updates on Charlton. So here's the link: http://forevercharlton.blogspot.com/

There are plenty of blogs that cover Charlton, too. My favorite is called "All Quiet in the East Stand." This guy has a lot to say and can be quite humorous at times. He attends every match so you get a good view point from the terraces. He also has more links to websites and blogs that Forever Charlton does not have. So here is his link: http://charlton.blogspot.com/

If you are interested in what others think then you must subscribe to THE Charlton email list. Glynne Jones email list is very active. I get probably 25+ messages every day. Many a heated argument comes through here. Here is where you can sign up it: http://www.addicks.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cafc You can also get a personalized email address here of @addicks.org.

My favorite forum, outside Big Soccer, is called "NetAddicks". Plenty of activity here with the occasional appearance by non-supporters who really get everyone fired up. http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=905&p=16&forumid=3224

There is also a weekly internet radio show called "Charlton Live". This weekly broadcast airs live at 3:30 PM Eastern/12:30 PM Pacific each Sunday. If you miss the show don't worry as they archive every show so you can listen to it at your own convenience. You can also email the show. And here is a link to there website: http://www.addicks.org/charltonlive/

There is plenty more that I hope to add in the future.

If you got something Charlton to add post it here for others to see. You never know when you might find a great nugget of fan info that will benefit everyone.

    Enjoy!

Can a mod change the title of this thread to include ticket FAQs (as I'm guessing there will be a lot of questions now that spector is playing for charlton)

How to get Charlton Athletic tickets:

Call the ticket office after the public sale date has arrived (watch the cafc website ticket section for dates).

    020 8333 4010

Or use the online ticketing system:

    http://www.cafc.co.uk/ticketSelect.ink

Or join the International Addicks club for 25 pounds, this will give you a direct contact with the club to arrange seats as well as a special scarf for the club members. This gains no special access to seats not available to the public, but a better chance at reserving the best ones when the public sale date arrives (i.e. not having to call at 2 am when the phones open and are busy), Also, you can pay for the seats when you arrive on game day.

    http://www.cafc.co.uk/internationalmembership.ink

If you call on the first public sale date, there should be seats for you. The NW quadrant is for public sale only. The remainder of the main stadium will have scattered pairs and single tickets available. The stand to be in is the north upper, where the most vocal supporters sit. However there are only single tickets available as pairs are sold out to season ticket holders.

If the visiting team doesn't use the full allotment of tickets, the remaining portion of the Jimmy Seed (or south stand) will be available for the public. You can also purchase tickets in the visiting stand with the visiting fans on game day if you are a neutral supporter and there is availability.

    Going to The Valley:

Check www.footballgroundguide.co.uk and look at the Charlton page for the best directions to The Valley. The tube/bus route that it describes is the easiest if you are staying in central London.

Addition to the ticket info, some games do not go into general sale (manu, chelsea, arsenal, other big teams) to avoid visiting fans from purchasing in the home stands. For these games, international members can get tickets from the ticket office by calling in at the appropriate date. According to pookspur (thanks for the info) you can join the international club and buy tickets at the same time.

Something to check out is the podcast Charlton Plus. It is hosted on by Brian Cole who you may remember as the former announcer at The Valley. Check out the show at www.charltonplus.com.
