Hopefully! I haven't bought a ticket yet but I'm leaning that way. (assuming there's still some to be had)

Other than seeing the boys in red & white, and in particular some of our new signings (or like a new signing, in one notable case), I'd really really like it if there could be a little meetup of BigSoccer folks somehow. Anyone who knows B'more at all, got any vision or word on that?

And I'd also love to carpool with somebody from NYC metro area, if anyone else is interested in that concept.

For lack of a better place to put this, here's some pics of the boys return to pre-season training (already????!)
    https://www.arsenal.com/news/gallery-boys-are-back

I'll admit it's a little odd to see the likes of Nelson & Maitland-Niles back, but one picture really caught me off guard. And as much as I always liked this guy, it just seems somehow wrong for him to be back at Colney...

Of course I realize that there's a long transfer window still to play out. So potentially none of Hector, Reiss or Ainsley could be with us in 2 months... if that long.

I heard this week that Elliott will be unable to attend any Arsenal in USA matches. And I found out last week that I also cannot go myself.

So I was wondering if there's clarity on whether any of our matches will be televised/streamed in USA? Or if the only legal way to watch them is by paying 6 pounds per match on Arsenal.com?

Squad announced for US tour. Pretty much everybody who's anybody.

GK - Ramsdale, Turner, Leno, Runarsson, Okonkwo

DF - Tierney, White, Gabriel, White, Mari, Soares, Bellerin, Tamiyasu, Saliba, Tavares, and Reuell Walters.

MF - Odegaard, Partey, ESR, Xhaka, Lokonga, Elneny, Viera, Maitland-Niles, Nelson, Torreira

FW - Saka, Jesus, Pepe, Nketiah, Martinelli, Balogun, Maquinhos

(none of the young guns, Hutchinson, Patino, Azeez, etc. except Walters)

Wow. Surprisingly senior level squad. No rest for the weary I guess. But Michele is not screwing around trying to get people ready for a very busy August.

Partey being in the squad could be taken as a good omen for him. Or it could simply be that in the absence of any formal charges, the club thinks it would be inappropriate on several fronts to leave him behind?

With no charges against him, I think taking him is still the correct measure. Wonder if he is cleared of all charges, but the club suspended him for say 12 months, if that opens Arsenal up to a lawsuit?

Or maybe TP5 told them something that potentially gives the club confidence he will be cleared of these charges.

    Yeah it’s all just speculation.

So let’s turn our attention to how we might watch these USA tour games, for those of us who will not be in person.

Referencing livesoccertv.com I found a little but not much info…

    Everton 7/16:
FuboTV is supposedly streaming it. I’ve never tried Fubo but I gather I can do it through my Roku. Does anyone know if it’s likely to be on a free, ad supported version, or if one could do a 7 day trial of the paid version, and then cancel before 7 days?

    Orlando City 7/20:
See no info about USA TV or streaming.
Edit: Randomly noticed it on ESPN+ :)

    Chelsea 7/23:
    See no info either.

    Feel free to chime in!!

I have Fubo as my main provider and there is nothing scheduled for Arsenal this entire weekend. Where are you seeing that?

But their listings may be suspect, because they didn’t have any USA streaming for the Orlando city match which apparently is on ESPN+.

    A. No injuries, please.
    B. I care more about form than results for these things, but would love to see them pound Orlando by a touchdown or more.

Good catch. I ignored that site for some stupid reason. I guess it’s free??

Edit: sadly I will probably be traveling back from a 90th bday party so I’ll be lucky to catch any of it. Ah, priorities.

I just got back and tried to use the Stadium TV link to watch the match but that seems only to have been good for live stream. However, I just found this which looks like it might have the whole match... we shall see...

Gabriel Jesus is a problem, but Nketiah looks ready to erupt.

Jesus already scored goals Lacan't couldn't.

Feel like we will somehow run two strikers a bit this season.

I just noticed that the final USA tour game versus Chelsea is on ESPN+. And also not on terrestrial ESPN, which they are reserving for Bayern vs City. Not sure we can blame them really.

Is this being shown anywhere online like the Everton match was?

Edit: match just came up on ESPN+ Watching it live now

ESPN and google said we’re 4-2-3-1 but I’m wondering if it’s more like a 4-3-3?

there’s so much shape fluidity that it’s probably not just one system anyway. AMNis playing quite advanced though

ps. Ramsdale just made a great save that Turner probably wouldn’t. :)

Any idea who is the lead announcer? He’s pretty knowledgeable about Arsenal.

Tavares showing why he needs a loan, but honestly horrendous defending all around.
