Im sure you all have heard by now that, with a 4-0 victory over Killie, Rangers are back on top of the SPL.

I ************in hope this lasts, true we have somewhat of a challenge in Hearts away, but Im confident that the table's positioning wont change too much and that the league flag will come home.

Not to worry, timmy, you's'll have the consolation of being runner up in a european competition that means nothing now. And by all means you can defend it next year whilst we compete in the champions league :D

em......thanks to us beating the likes of ajax, porto, juve and valencia last year while yous were getting blown by russian peasants we have 2 CL spots for this upcoming season.
Not that TFOD will manage past their qualifier that is, McLeish still hunting for that elusive win over two legs in europe, failed with hibs and did even worse with huns

I'm not sure which I find funnier. Is it the unwarranted overconfidence that the championship is already decided, especially after Rangers threw away what should have been an insurmountable points lead?

Or is it the "European competition that means nothing" statement, despite your club's manager being quoted as being envious of Celtic's continuing participation in it?

Whatever helps you attempt to put a positive spin on your team's season, I suppose.

He also claimed celtics magnificent uefa cup run this season was due to graeme souness' ibrox revoloution of something close to 15 years ago, eck has clearly flipped his lid, he is jealous though, MON winning all those ties over two legs......thats probably what drove him over the edge ;)

I commend Eck being sporting and courteous, you'd never get it from any of your managers.

and perhaps i am counting my chickens before they hatch, sorry for that, but the abll is in our own courrt and being optimistic never harmed anyone.

we'll see what happens wont we ;)

Oh, yeah, O'Neill has NEVER given Rangers, or any other club, credit when they've earned a victory.

Goodness, I thought Lakers fans have some very selective memory...

It is always a good situation to have the "abll" in one's own "courrt".

Say hi to your cousins at tynecastle for us, lad.

    And the tennis match continues...

    Rangers edge in front

It seems like a safe bet that the fans at Ibrox and Kilmarnock will be viewing two very attack-minded matches in a week's time. Nothing gained by playing it safe at this point.

And even if Rangers end up winning it, at least they were REALLY made to work for it this time.

That said, I hope they crash in a spectacular way and Celtic hit the Championship hat-trick. :)

The offenses will be out in full force next Sunday, I can't wait.

To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't mind seeing us win 4-1 and Rangers win 3-0 (2-1 and 1-0, 3-1 and 2-0 etc.).

I'd love to see a head to head playoff, one match at Hampden to decide it all.

A playoff is the only way to decide this season. Goal difference deciding the league title is a ridiculous thing - and it should be ended after this season - regardless of who wins.

    Change it....NOW!

I dont think i could stand a playoff, bad nerves and that. Im happy if we win it on GD to be honest,m yeh id like to be able to say we put one over on you lot, but again, my nerves wouldnt hold out. i'd end up losin the plot.

as for changing the GD rule, i dont think thats gonna happen. Most of the major leagues in the footballing world use it so why would fifa change it for one example, it isnt a decision for the SFA I dont think.

I agree. After the tension of the Cup I think I would just simply wig out. It has to be a security nightmare for the cops as well. I mean there have been Old Firm games that decide the championship before -- hell every OF game has championship implications -- but this would be ridiculous.

Don't they go on head-to-head record if the two are tied on goal diff.?
