Paul Gerrard may be on his way to Ipswich.Evertonfc.tv have confirmed that he may be leaving before the transfer window closes on friday. This may give Everton enough money to make an offer for Healey. Everton are in diar need of a creative mid fielder, yet Im not sure that Healey is our answer. I would rather keep that money and put it towards the services of Mcbride. As we have seen from his last three matches teams cant seem to contain Rads and Mcbride up front. With Rodrigo due back at Goodison in the next week Healey is just window dressing.

I still think Everton should wait before handing in the verdict on McBride. While he has played well, let him continue to play and don't do anything premature.

I agree with waiting but not for the same reasons. Mcbride does not have to prove anything, the player that you see on the field is Mcbride, he has only one tempo Full out and leave nothing in the tank.Moyes knew that and that is why he wanted him last summer, but Everton thought the MLS were asking too much, I think spending money on Healey is the wrong Idea, save it and pick up mcbride in the summer, after we dump Campbell. Think about Rads Rooney and Mcbride up front what defence can slow them down. Add Watson Rodrigo and Gravey to the midfield has to improve our goal scoring ability for next year.

Sadly, I have huge doubts that McBride will stay. I think Moyes wants to sign a younger striker, with Kevin, Dunc, and even Radz nearly 30 or well into there 30's.

I think we should look to signing Keigan Parker (whos on trial) and Healey.

I really would love to see another look at Rodrigo, apparently he was really unlucky to miss out of the Brazilian World Cup squad. He can play the playmaker role, or sit just behind our 2 strikers. (On all reports).

We should also look to signing Ibrahim Said on a permanent basis in the summer.

Cheap moves, that will improve our squad.

    CMON EVERTON!!!!!

    How ambitious.

As for McBride. MLS will ask a price that will probably be more than Everton (or any other Premiership club) will be willing to pay. If he were 27 or 28, rather than almost 32, you would have a different story.

Last summer Everton offered 1.5 mill for Mcbride but the MLS wanted 3 mill. Now if Mcbride does well then that figure may go up. Yet at 31 Im not sure they could justify that.
I agree on Said I just wish he could play the left side.
If Campbell goes as well as Dunc which will be his last year at Everton then Mcbride is not a far off replacement. All of this wont take place till the end of the season in any event.

There is a reason why Mcbride put the clause in his new contract with the mls to allow him to go to Everton in January on loan, Im sure Moyes had something to do with it. This way Moyes could prove to the Everton board Mcbride can make it in the MLS.

We cant ignore that we are still financially pretty bad.

McBride is too old for 3 million or whatever they want.

I reckon we shouldve looked at Rebrov and Kanu, but Moyesy obviously not interested.

True we are strapped but if we get rid of some dead wood such as Dunc and Campbell we will be able to afford him, When Everton are at there best is when we pressure the opposing defences. With Rads and Campbell in we have Rads doing all the hard work trying to get the ball to campbell, that hasnt been working. as our mid field have had to lay back, We replace Rads with rooney and we have the same work ethic, but a Mcbride and Rads wear down the Defence a lot quicker, they run there socks off to help out in defence, something Campbell forgets to do allows the Mid field to join the attack, hense 4 goals in as many matches for Watson. Now is Mcbride the Guy well at the moment he is but his style Definately is, I dont think Kanu is the style we are looking for, as for Rebrov, I dont know I havent seen much of him to say.

How many times are people going to continue to screw up McBride's age? He's 30 and he'll be 31 this June. That's a huge difference.
