Mustafi was a really special case, because he didn't even play for a single 1BL club until near the end of his professional career, and yet he still got called up.

Mustafi is GOAT, once in a thousand years talent!!!!

there is one player who holds the record.
Only Germany SNT to NEVER EVER play in 1BL and that's Robert Huth.

now that's a name nobody has heard of in ages, LOL.
Huth spent his entire career in Penglish footy, winning 3 EPLs including being an XI in Leiceister historic EPL Trophy run!!!!

but was never highly rated for Germany.

Nagelsmann gonna name his squad next Thursday on November 6 for last 2 WCQ matches.

at this point, it really does seem like
Ouedraogo, El Mala, Karl are the names getting brought up non-stop by media. They are the biggest question marks.

one reason why I don't think Karl will get called up. Fact if Karl plays in November for Germany SNT he'll be basically the youngest every German SNT player. With only 2 players beating him, and those players made debuts in 1908 and 1910, LOL. I don't think that Nagelsmann has balls to call up somebody that young. Also in general, DFB doesn't try to weaken the U21, so that could also nix the chances that El Mala and Ouedraogo get called up. Whole in U21 they can play full 90 but SNT no guarantee they even see field. This is likely what will nix 3/3, LOL.

some in media, are like if this was Spain, these players would get called up but Germany always have a fixation with the don't rush young players, they need time.

but reality, it just highlights how much of lack of desire to just go full youth revolution. I think best we can hope for is a partial one, we won't get more than that.

reality the BASE FORM of a YOUTH REVOLUTION is ALREADY FORMING. The players are there and MORE are EMERGING. If one wanted to they could go for that.

I do wish WC26 would try to emulate WC10. I feel like we are gonna waste another tourney with the 90s bulk being the main one but those same players will likely either be done with WC26 or EC28 is their last. For me it feels pointless, Kimmich+Goretzka for example will be 33 y/o come EC28, does anyone want to see them play that old??? LOL. That's the issue the ages don't really look great come EC28.

Its why good chance WC26 will be a waste. Nagelsmann doesn't help because he actually believes its possible they could win WC26. I don't blame him, some will call him arrogant, including the German media but he's right though if you don't think you can win WC or EC why bother showing up??? You go to win, even though I believe we won't win, LOL. But that desire to win is more reason why he'll focus on age/experience.

The amount of youth in the 2010 side is not that dramatic. The core were experienced peak age players as well as some older guys like Klose.

The only really young breakout stars were Mueller and Ozil. Kroos came on as a sub IIRC.

Boateng was also quite young. Khedira was already 24.

I think the challenge for Nagelsmann is Musiala and Wirtz are now his established stars who will run the side probably with Havertz. But he doesn’t have a schweinsteiger figure for the base of midfield. He will have to take a risk on someone.

Pavlovic is our best bet. TBH I would go full youth movement in midfield. Pair Pavlovic with whoever's performing the best of Stiller/Ouédraogo/Bischof/Nmecha. I super don't trust Goretzka and Andrich is way too old.

don't forget, 34 y/o Gross, LOL. Will be 35 y/o at the WC, LMAO.

reality our M options that keep being main focus is too old.
Goretzka, Andrich, Gross, Kimmich (always temptation by Nagelsmann to play him in M) are all in their 30s.

its time to focus on the future.

also youth-young its interchangeable thing. A player who is 2-3 years older than another isn't really a HUGE difference. They are closer to one another than to players who are already late 20s-30s.

the issue is that Nagelsmann has barely integrated much players who are in the 00-onwards Ages.

Woltemade, Adeyemi, Pavlovic are only recently getting integrated. And lets be honest if Havertz, Kleidienst, Fullkrug, etc weren't injured Woltemade would NOT get integration in SNT. If Sane had not NIXED himself by going to Turkey and stayed at Bayern, Adeyemi would NOT get integration. If Nagelsmann had his desire Kimmich would play in M with Goretzka and 3 back to back coaches pushing for that M pairing but because of major RB issues, that's what opened up Pavlovic in M. Reality had things went differently there would be 0 new integration, they only happened due to circumstances.

The players I expect to lead the team as veterans of one or two tournaments are Musiala, Havertz, Wirtz, Schlotterbeck, Tah, Raum, and Kimmich (at RB).

Thiaw is currently the 2nd or 3rd best german CB. It would be totally incomprehensible and illogical if Nagelsmann ignores him again for November matches especially that he can still bail and choose Finland. In my opinion our CBs for next WC should be: Rüdiger, schlotti, Tah, Thiaw and one of the following depending on their development in the next few months : Bisseck( if he refurns to BL as expected in Jan and becomes a starter) , Collins ( if he retains his starting spot as CB ), Anton , Rosenfelder, or Jeltsch.

when Thiaw played his 3 friendlies in SNT back 2023 vs Poland and Colombia in XI he was actually the best player on the team. He looked very composed and very promising in CB and impressed for a BAD Germany side, LOL. Was like a rare +.

but Nagelsmann seems overkeen on Koch, Anton etc types instead. Its funny because its obvious that Nagelsmann rates EPL more than 1BL-Serie A. So what's the excuse of leaving him out???

I don't think he'll bail from Germany either because his backstory is although born in Germany and 100% dev in Germany he didn't get his German papers until 20 y/o in 2021. Even more so, it wasn't even DFB who pushed him for the papers, he himself sees himself as German and who started the process alone.

There have been a number of law changes in the last years which allowed this. Because of the prior complications of/ban on dual citizenship in Germany, it wasn't uncommon for people to have unclaimed status. Especially as he was an EU citizen, why bother.

    Confidence .

Hes performed better in the less intensity of the Champions league games. Sooner or later he will bring the same quality to the games in the Premier League, which is the most Physical its been for a long time.

on 08 AM/W Karl, 06 W El Mala, 04 CF Tresoldi, 06 M Ouedraogo, and also Leroy Sane. I don't get why Tresoldi playing in Belgian 1st is always brought up, he needs to play top 4 league first and we can never move on from some players, LOL why is Sane in Turkey even being considered???

Lennart Karl watched Bayern Munich's footballing masterpiece in the Champions League in Paris from the front row, so to speak, from the Bayern bench. The next big step on the pitch could quickly follow in the steep career of the highly talented teenager – in the national team jersey. Before announcing his final squad for the World Cup qualifiers, national coach Julian Nagelsmann is weighing all the arguments as to whether he should call up the 17-year-old from Munich for the first time – to give him a taste of top-level football.

Karl is not the only one on the DFB's radar. Young Cologne attacker Said El Mala (19), former Hannover player Nicolò Tresoldi (21), and Leipzig's Assan Ouédraogo (19) have also impressed with their performances this season. However, El Mala suffered an injury in training on Wednesday, and a diagnosis is pending.

Nagelsmann is not a fan of the hype surrounding young players. "I don't think much of the extremely early hype," he said after the 1-0 win in Northern Ireland in October. Otherwise, the young professionals would get "carried away." But at the same time, the national coach wants to explore options and set benchmarks for the 2026 World Cup. The decision on a call-up may only be made shortly before the squad for the upcoming matches in Luxembourg and against Slovakia is announced this Thursday (1 PM).

A call-up for these super talents would send a very special signal. "We always try to keep an eye on the young talents," Nagelsmann assured. But he also demanded that certain something extra. “We also have a large pool of players in the senior national team, so you really have to be clearly better.”

Nagelsmann publishes his squad list via the DFB's social media channels. And since the long-term injured players Marc-André ter Stegen (33), Antonio Rüdiger (32), Kai Havertz (26), Niclas Füllkrug (32), and Karl's teammate Jamal Musiala (22) will still be absent, there are squad places available for testing new players. According to reports, Leroy Sané (29) also has a good chance of returning to the squad after being ignored twice by Nagelsmann following his move to Galatasaray.

If he plays in an international match, Karl would already become the youngest national team player in 115 years and would replace the legendary Uwe Seeler in third place in the DFB age ranking. After his spectacular goals in the Champions League against Bruges and in the league against Borussia Mönchengladbach, the call quickly arose that such a player could also help the German national team right now.

Incidentally, Karl could already be playing in a World Cup right now – at the ongoing U17 tournament in Qatar. However, the performance level of his peers is no longer his benchmark. As early as spring, FC Bayern informed the German Football Association (DFB) that Karl was planned for the professional squad and would no longer be playing with the youth teams – Nagelsmann could now be the beneficiary of this decision.
