not saying it’s his fault but the subs have made way better runs and opened the game up.

subs are doing so vs tired legs though.

its much harder to be an XI than sub too.

how do you know that Woltemade didn't run down the Irish D which made it easier for the subs? Guy is a handful and mostly had 2 guys on him too.

High octane? As the first 150 minutes of this qualifying campaign was low octane? BTW it was half a joke.

Woltemade occupied defenders, we needed better movement around him.

First half was shit. 2nd goal was due the lack of quality of our opponents. I am not impressed and I am not reconciled. Against half a decent side this would have been a lose. Don't get tricked.

    FT, 3-1 W

amazing, Germany is totally winning the WC!!!!!

joke aside that was not a great game. Nagelsmann and all coaches need to ditch the dumbass back 3.

but what counts is the 3 pts. Poor start to qualifiers but was important to get something from that. Here's hoping we have returning from injury players come October.

and we need to continue winning so need 2/2 Ws in October and score as much as possible as tiebrakers are GD and not head to head.

I dunno, unless he improves he may have lost his starter spot.

Yep, the only consolation is we still have a few players to come back.

I've given up hope of a deep WC run, just hope we don't embarrass ourselves again.

yup, in U21 we always made good use of playing around him. So even when he didn't score still made a difference.

so far that is non-existent in SNT.

who wants to bet we shall see Havertz reclaim the #9 spot once he's back, ugh.

I blame Kleindienst who should basically be 1st choice, since Nagelsmann never rated Fullkrug but typical all the older CFs are injury prone.

IMO, it was our inability to break the back 5 that NI had, there was no mobility in our game and we had difficulty getting into the final third. Until the subs. In a more dynamic game, against stronger opponents that don't play a 5 line block i think Woltemade will have some room.

You suggest that the combination of Tah and Ruediger start build up from the defence? Inspires no confidence and perhaps that is why Kimmich was involved in the build up.

Apart from that I agree with you: a 4-4-2 would have worked against Slovakia.

Ruediger has gotten the proverbial long rope. His crazy antics cost Germany that opener against Japan in the WC. And there by ruined rhe campaign.

He needs better self control. He is a good CB but he is channeling his inner Pepe for the NT.
    Needs to be benched.

If I lose, I'll stop bringing up Mustafi.....sadly I'll lose a paycheck for not propping him up!!!

never underestimate the inability to let go a failed thing with this modern day Germany.

Sorry but did I read that right?
    High Octane!!?

Germany played like they are on Valium. Don’t let the score line fool you.

It was an evenly contested first half. Second half we got lucky!

My point is, klopp for me is no different to Nagelsmann or Flick. They have very similar philosophy

Klopps philosophy is no different to a normal Nagelsmann or Flick philosophy.
High risk. We don't have the Personnel for these kind of coaches.

Rudi Voller gave a perfect blue print how Germany should play.

Germanys defense right now is struggling. But if any team has a CM's who have zero legs and physicality, that is a recipe for disaster. Kimmich Gros combo is not the best.

that's kinda the issue is this desire to play a style with the personal we don't have.

yeah Voller went for a more old school approach and that is a better fit for the current SNT. It might not lead to trophies but would lead to less pathetic results.

but it seems like NOBODY at the DFB even want to acknowledge this and would rather force things that don't fit that well.

this is why I find most coaches are stupid tbh.

one should always play to what you have but most refuse to do this.

like take CFs for example, the whole Low+Flick.
World Class or Elite CF or BUST aka otherwise false 9.

why not just play the CFs you have?
Nobody buys that every country in Europe play with world class CFs. Like Spain won EC24 with a Morata, LMAO. But it makes a HUGE difference having CFs to play but for way too long this stubbornness on issue.

Based on these two qualifing matches alone, I don't think Germany will make it past the QFs.

Lol. Your being Generous. Unless we have everyone fit and firing, it's going to be very difficult.

I'd have a open Top bus parade if we get to QF
