that's the issue the players are better but never show it when they wear the Germany shirt. even this FLOP Group should be able to win vs such teams but the desire is never there. Everytime I watch this lot, feels like players who half-ass everything. this mid-90s group are the biggest waste of space I've ever seen. Not helped by poor coaching where every coach does the same thing over and over expecting something different. like nix back 3, nix Kimmich at M, have M dominance, do better in corners we are always poor at defending them, always the nevernending passing that leads nowhere, etc. These days our #1 attacking tactic is basically try to go behind the D that's it.....
That was a terrible half. Our players look like they can’t even handle the basics—passing, receiving, trapping the ball. The build-up play from the back is dreadful; the passes go to players with no options except to play it right back. We badly need capable box-to-box midfielders.
NI playing with a back 5 - Germany has no solution for this, putting in long balls to beat it. Also aggressive forechecking, no respect for Germany's counter. Very little possession in Ni half.

Füllkrug was not young. Özil did well, but the rest struggled because they’re simply not good enough. The EPL level is higher, which is why ‘stars’ in the Bundesliga look average once they move to the EPL. Wirtz should be fine, but Woltemade should have stayed. Overall, we simply lack quality.
Pengland had a SHIT TON of hype and flopped left and right. this current crop has 0 hype and flop left and right. They USED to have loads of hype but after 18-onwards, all good will disappeared. we are worst than old Pengland, LMAO. well at least one sees LOADS of hype for the next gen German youngsters.
