Well Bayern seem to be going after a big name W signing, Williams, Barcola, Leao being linked. Also linked with Nkunku. Shame it looks like their only relevant German attacker is gonna be Musiala. Wanner is a loan candidate again apparently.

I'm pretty sure the only reason Eagle Eye Cherry kept getting called up to the NT was because he was playing for Bayern, but now that he's no longer a Bayern player, Nagelsmann should no longer have any reason to even consider him.

Yep. Can't get me head round why Bayern have not gone in for Florian Wirtz. Our clubs in Germany are embarrassingly a breeding ground for foreign talents, then sell them off for ludicrous prices.

Dortmund have signed the overrated Bellingham junior, to eventually cash in kn him.

Wirtz would have been the perfect Bayern signing and would have further build his impressive Chemistry with Musiala

To Bayerns defence they went all in for Wirtz but he got a clearer plan from Liverpool how they will use him as I understand it.

really hoping for Gruda to have his breakout season in PL next season. Looked really good the last part of the season. Would give us a nice alternative. Should have stayed in Germany BL though, quite sure he would have had a great season and already be a real alternative for NT.

Yep. Really hope wirtz does well and further developes.

As for Gruda, it's been abit of eye opener for him. PL is very physical and fast. Agree, towards the end he was finding his feet. Really hope, a good pre season, and he further improves. We desperately need him, as I think players like Sane, Ganebry are surplus for requirement

So after our disappointing NL FINALS …where do we stand with our NT

I see players like Andrich Furich Leweling and Anton possibly even Mittelstadt habe dropped off form

so yes we realised our team has not enough depth like Spain France and yeah even Portugal .

so who are the players we are putting our hope on and not the big names that we know .
So the players I am talking about that need to get us that depth .
Adeyemi , Pavlovic , Beier ,Stiller and Bisseck are players for me that I hope will reach the next level .
What about Bischoff I see he is very young do you guys see any perspective in him ?

and then players like Goretska , Gross , Nmecha , Tah Fulkrug Undav are they good enough ?
Seems Nagelsmann has many open questions

Germany has been hit hard by injuries this season , and fitness we can juts hope come World Cup all our players are super fit and in form , that’s the only way we will find some magic .

man’s I guess we still have that one open question who will be our striker - hope that Kleindienst and Woltemade will also step up their game .

    Any thougts ?

I am more interested on this German U21 team. Despite young age, many are already key players for the BL clubs. If they manage to win EURO 21 title, I bet at least 6-7 players can be seriuous options for the senior natioal team.

I Suppose the NT will look something like this in 2028
    GK: Atubolu/Ubrig/Nubel
    CB: Klosterman/Bisseck/Thiaw
RB-LB - No clue to be honest
    DM - Pavlovic/Stiller/Reitz/Bischof/Nmecha
    AM- Wirtz/Musiala/Wanner/Gruda/Adeyemi/Beier/Karl
    Forwards- Havertz Woltemade and Burkhardt

well lets see still 3 yeasr to go.... But we need to think past Kimmich, Rudiger and Goretska - Kimmich will be the one that will be diffcult to replace

I recon we have great talent waiting in line for the next years, just our defence might be lacking a bit ?

Our biggest U21 talents are not playing in the U21 Euro. They are already with the senior team. I am talking about Pavlovic, Musiala, Wirtz, Adeyemi, Bischof and Beier. But some of the players in this U21 team can join them of course - Gruda, Wanner, Woltemade, Collins, Weiper, etc

Really frustrating. We have Leverkuson signing Quansah from Liverpool and Dortmund junior Bellingham from Sunderland on the basis of making Profit out of these players when it comes to re sale.

Where's the opportunities for our budding upcoming young German players who are itching for the chance. Just so frustrating.

Another issue that xxxxies me off. Kompany, a proven failure of a coach, yet he continues to play Kimmich in midfield, hence limiting Pavlovic Game time!

We've got Kjell Wätjen, one of the most promising German midfielders at Dortmund, warming the bench. It's maddening!

Leverkusen signed Oermann from Bochum, and instead of using a player that already played a full 1BL season and impressed, have loaned him to Sturm Graz. They were also linked with Thiaw, shame that isn't happening. Quansah reportedly has a buy back clause which becomes active in 2027, worth €60m. Bayer obviously see this as opportunity to make money rather then getting the, imo, better options.

It's a real tragedy with the likes of Gnabry, Sané, Goretzka and others. They were all ready for another circle but somehow are finished way too early for the highest level. If we run out of luck the same could be true for Rüdiger, Tah or Kimmich (Hope not..). It's annoying to enter another era of rebuild so soon but Nagelsmann needs to rethink his selections for the upcoming world cup next year..

The Golden Generation of 03 - 04 needs to be integrated in for the WCQ with experienced players who still offer quality.

Sane, Ganebry, Gross, Rudiger etc have to be moved on now.

duh whoever is next gen Mustafi.....what kind of question is that???:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I mean issue with Rudiger is that he's in his 30s but very erratic player.

reality Rudiger isn't going anywhere, he has too much International experience and club experience, we are stuck with him although WC26 could very well be his last tourney.

would be 35 y/o at EC28 who knows at what level he's at at that age. Would he still be playing? At what club? Would he be XI or bench player, etc.

I mean even a Kimmich and the 95 crop will be like 33 y/o come EC28.

so entire current SNT players will for sure be done between WC26-EC28 region.

the good news about wave of next gen taking over is that majority of current SNT is old and mostly players in that 30s. Which would make them jumping to SNT easier and faster post WC26. Its good news because imagine these failed SNT players but DFB favs were all like mid-20s we would be stuck with them for next 10 years, LOL.

right on queue, feels reminiscent of what happened towards end of the 00s era and with 2008 Euro being the LAST tourney with previous generation. Followed by a FULL YOUTH revamp for WC10.

imagine being stuck with players that won't win you anything and don't really impress that much. One can see it clearly as daylight this Current crop of SNT won't win anything outside of CC17. They got close at Euro 2024, had we dispatched Spain we very well could have won but its clear things won't align for them to ever win something.

Nagelsmann seems to think that we can win WC26 and he's getting shit from ex DFB players and even some at DFB for saying such things. LOL that the coach can't have confidence in winning seen as arrogant and exaggerating.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

in any case for now we are likely stuck with the same CB pool for WC26.

    meaning
-current options=Rudiger, N.Schlotterbeck, Anton, Tah, Kehrer, Koch, Bisseck, Thiaw, Bella-Kotchap
-Near Future options, some need to be in 1BL level first=Mbi (needs transfer, would be shocking if still in Portuguese 1st division next season after being 1st choice in U21 XI), Rosenfelder (already in 1BL), Oermann (will be in 1BL after dumb loan come Summer 2026. That is dumbass Bayer for you......), Siebert (needs 1BL transfer and is linked), etc.
-Reality our most interesting/promising CBs are actually all in that 04-onwards Region players like=Collins (Nagelsmann has already been reportedly interested in him too), Gechter, Buchmann, Jeltsch, Odogu, Palma etc ain't gonna name everyone and its a long list and loads of them are making quick jump to pros too. But there are more promising 04-onwards than in older generation too. That is significance of 04-onwards there are more promising players in every position compared to older age groups.

since BVB doesn't integrate Germans he got the 2BL loan dump next season. BVB is Truly a wasteful club who jumps around every hoop to try to integrate foreign young players as they dev/sell but Germans always BS.

its ironic because in 2023-2024 season towards end of season Watjen made his 1BL XI debut and had an fantastic assist to Reus and everyone stated that Watjen looked like a player who played like 100+ 1BL games and then following season between youth killers Sahin+Kovac he barely got any chances and forced to play 3rd Liga XI all season.

lets see what BVB does, they have 2 promising Ms,
06 M Watjen (on 2BL loan next season)+08 M Kaba (looks to be promoted 2 years earlier to BVB II in RL over U19).

lets see if Watjen and Kaba can breakthrough the club in next 1-2 years or not.

I think next era of rebuild has more potential
-Previous Rebuild Era=wasn't 100% a rebuild tbh. Was more like using the exact same players but under a different coach with a few additions like Kleindienst, Undav, Gross, Fuhrich, Leweling etc and some recalled players like Henrichs, Amiri, Nmecha etc.

feels more like a PATCH UP JOB, LMAO.

trying to form a team with what he has and then to fill in the holes as much as possible with older experienced players where a lot of the players called up are nothing special, won't make a huge difference and players that belong to Dark Age 1.0 of late 90s-mid 00s.

-Next Rebuild Era=next gen hungry for glory young players and who's potential if pan out should surpass current crop.

yeah, Nagelsmann needs to consider more young players for WC26. Needs to think about the future and EC28 ahead.

the decline of Sane and gannet would be expected at age 29. goretzka is 30 but had a good season?

rudiger is already 32 and probably only has a year or so left at the top level best case.

i agree some players go well into their early 30s now but not every player and especially not if they played a lot of games early

i was discussing elsewhere that wirtz already has 220 top level games on the clock. he might have already played 30-40% of his games at the elite level even though he is super young. very hard to predict.
