Germany could pull 11 random guys from Oktoberfest and still beat Portugal.. It's just how things go when you play us. Portugal forgets how to play football when they face Germany, complete bogeyman for us no matter what year or form your squad is in..

you should have more confidence in your team.

Portugal are still no slouches and aren't easy to beat.

I don't think a single poster in here even dislikes Portugal. You can bet if you make the final we would root for you over Spain-France!!!!

Not long now Guys. Admittedly we are decimated with injuries, but we have enough quality to beat Portugal and Progress to the Final.

oh well no Wirtz at Bayern.

maybe Bayern should just focus on talents like Wanner, Karl, Wisdom etc instead of spending $150M on Wirtz.

Muller is gone would be nice to have a replacement be someone who emerges from Academy.

Bayern finally has a German D again. Just a shame its a eh Tah. I never understood why all the top clubs rate him highly.

LOL Jamil Siebert from Germany U21 is seen as next gen Tah too.

This proved my point again. Wirtz chose Arne Slot over Company and he is not wrong. Arne Slot is such as good coach he won EPL without buying any new players.

Wirtz will be the perfect no.10 at Liverpool playing alongside Salah or false 9 or drift wide as left forward or even pivot AMC.

Company cannot give a clear plan how to play with Musiala because you also got Harry Kane up front there are not many spaces to rotate between the two.

Feels like Philip Coutinho moves to Liverpool…at least Wirtz chose a good coach who can help him develop which I do not feel could happen under Company
Musiala made zero progress this season

I admit I'm relieved Wirtz chose Liverpool, because otherwise the Bundesliga would've been bracing itself for another Bayern Decade.

I can't see how it still won't be another Bayern decade in the Bundesliga. Leverkusen is leaking talent and won't have the same performance as the last 2 seasons. The closest any other team came was, what, around 20 points? And that was without Musiala playing for a long stretch in the second half. I can't see any team getting close unless they do what Leverkusen did - find a U19, U21 superstar in the rough that Bayern doesn't want or can't fit in their squadron, and get lucky with getting a bunch of other players and a good coach.

Don't forget that Wirtz would cost Bayern about $250m Euros over 4 years (transfer fee + 4 years of salary). They appeared to be willing to spend that for Wirtz, maybe the money will go to some other player that could make Bayern even stronger.

I don't think Bayern wanted Wirtz for BL dominance, I think it was for the CL. Bayern's' success is more determined by CL performance than BL performance. The impact of WIrtz not in Bayern and with other BL teams not completive in CL, we could be looking at Germany's UEFA coefficient dropping to 5th place (France isn't that far behind and PSG seems to be getting better).

Unless other BL teams rise to the challenge, it will be another decade of Bayern, because Bayern is not going to lower their standards.

    Just my opinion.

Well, if we learned anything from the 2023-24 season, it's that the only way to wrest the Meisterschale from Bayern's grip is by essentially having to be flawless, as Leverkusen won it by going the whole season undefeated.

Tah has done better over the last 2 seasons tbf, so will probably do ok. But yeah overall not the best CB we have. Seems Flick was also keen on taking him to Barca.

he's winning the DFB Cup top scorer this season!!!!! Noice, youngest German since Muller in 2010.

also Woltemade has 5 goals in 5 games, scoring in every DFB Cup game too!!!!

    also other notes
-8 Germans (9 if one counts poached Karazor) in XI for Stuttgart
-gonna be 1st major trophy for Stuttgart since 2007 when they won 1BL and 1st DFB Cup since 1997, WOW, what a drought.

also means that Stuttgart will play EL next season. I would rather see the Stuttgart Germans play EL then no Europe especially ahead of WC26.

Let's hope Stuttgart do way better in the EL next season than they did in the CL this season.

I mean for one they were stupid and didn't expect much from Woltemade, LOL.

Stuttgart didn't include him in CL because they were expecting a young bench player who would need time to adapt to his new club............irony is that it took no real time to adapt and to have a breakout season.

    HUGE blunder on their part.

    Woltemade is ambitious!!!

he's said post game that he wants TRIPLE trophies this Summer
    1-DFB Cup with VFB
    2-NL with Germany SNT
    3-U21 Euro with Germany U21

we need more mentality like this!!!!
