Wirtz with a brace vs Salzburg in CL for 3-0 HT.

    now takes his tally to
5 goals in 5 CL games

this is his 1st ever CL season too and already tied as one of the leading scorers for the CL season.

between EL, Euro with Germany, CL for 1st time, he's so far shown to be difference maker in tourneys.

I wonder where Wirtz will go. Man City and Real Madrid need a playmaker like him. Bayern also want him. What would be the best club for him?

none of those, he'll go back to FC Koln free transfer

then he'll lead Koln to 1BL Promotion, Win 1BL, qualify for CL and win that too!!!!

No point moving to City, unless he wants to play 3 or 4th division next year lol.

Bayern would make most sense, could link up with Musiala & Pavlovic.

I think it would be better for Germany if he didn't go to bayern

You want some different knowledge and influences in the side

They say the spine of any team is a indication of the potential strength of the side. What do you think fellow Germany fans.

Yep. I'm very confident against the Italians. If We have our best players available, we should cruise past them. We've got to much quality for them.

Plenty of time ahead for the likes of wanner, Gruda, and other young guns. Theres a saying, if your good enough, your old enough, and come next international break, these players could be ready to step for the full National team.

and with Burkardt scoring 9 goals in 1BL this season. These are 2 players who are knocking on NT door, how long until they overtake Fuhrich for example???

also interesting as people claimed for ages that 00-01 AM/W+CF are rubbish and both are part of extended NT. With Burkardt a CF and Schade playable at W/CF.

    on another note for Burkardt
-2023-2024 season=Mainz went from relegation fight while Burkardt injured to surviving with him fit
-2024-2025 season=Mainz with fit from beginning Burkardt and fighting for Euro spots

he legit carries the club, only matter of time until he'll end up at bigger club. Would have done so ages ago if not for long term injuries derailing him.

W/CF Schade bagged his 4th of season in EPL.
1865439409710981181 is not a valid tweet id

LOL he has more goals this season in EPL than numerous Pengland SNT players.

he's soon gonna outscore Havertz too.....

Looks a real high quality player. Hoping he stays under the radar and can have a consistent couple of seasons where then he can be in a perfect position to lead the line at the North American world cup.

just noticed that Fullkrug is fit again and that he scored on Dec 3 on his comeback match in 3-1 L. Its his 1st EPL goal with limited game time this season due to injury.
    https://streamff.com/v/c96b1948

between Fullkrug, Undav, Havertz, Kleindienst, Burkardt, Schade (also W but a lot of his EPL goals have been very CF, LULZ) as options, we have variety of candidates.

and then players like Ducksch, Pieringer, Tietz etc as extended part of pool.

His movement in the box is very smart, you can see he has a goalscorers instinct. That coupled with his pace and link up play means he can pretty much do it all.

Arp and Burkardt were always the 2 most talented 00 CFs in Germany. Burkardt ended up the success story, over past 3-4 years if Burkardt plays whole season he scores double digits in 1BL. This is 2nd time he hits double, should have hit double last season barely missed out after he retuned from long term injury and went on scoring spree in 2nd half of season.

Arp's career got derailed by injuries+dumb transfers cough Bayern cough and overall Burkardt has better package to succeed in end from the 2. Arp had more hype but less end success of the 2.

Arp will likely never be SNT candidate and now only playing for himself while Burkardt made SNT debut and on track for more.

    interesting thing to consider.

is Burkardt one of best 00 CFs in Europe???
if one looks at his consistency in 1BL aka top 4 league and add that he plays for Mainz, LOL. Most people aren't aware that he actually carries Mainz. He's saved the club from relegation TWICE already. A lot of other CFs wouldn't even be able to do such a thing. Reason why he hasn't jumped to bigger club isn't lack of interest is that he gets derailed by injury at some point and it forces him to REESTABLISH himself so he ends up extending with Mainz everytime+add loyalty. But at this point he no longer needs to do this anymore.

    who are other candidates?
The obvious is that the best 2 00 CFs in Europe are Haaland and Vlahovic and neither plays for a rival NT. Although Vlahovic has scored less than Burkardt in Serie A this season, overall package wise he has higher ceiling than Burkardt.

interesting to note that ONLY 00 CF in top 4 league to outscore Burkardt this season is Haaland. Italy's 00-Kean is FINALLY having his breakout season in top 4 league but he's 1 behind at 9 goals in Serie A.

the other contenders are Nigeria's Boniface from 1BL Bayer and Belgium's Openda from 1BL Leipzig, although hard to compare them as Burkardt playing for a Mainz club vs them playing for CL clubs who have more firepower+dominance. Although Burkardt has scored more than both of them he's basically Openda+Bonface combined this season, LOL. Openda had great 1st season, his current season at Leipzig has been mediocre and Boniface is currently injured. Package wise Boniface has better package than Burkardt but Openda questionable.

also that shrimp Argentinian Alvarez, LOL, at how anyone plays a 1.7m tall CF in top 4 league.

the only other option left from 00 CF is Canada's David but the lad doesn't even play top 4 league. Still in Ligue 1. He won Belgian 1st top scorer prior to going Ligue 1 and now with no more Mbappe he's on track to win Ligue 1 top scorer. But will that translate well in top 4 league???

the best/most promising 00 CFs from Pengland, France, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal, Brazil=AMOUNT TO NOTHING.

so the best 00 CFs in Europe contenders are
Haaland, Vlahovic, Boniface, Openda, Alvarez, Kean, David (needs to be top 4 league) and Burkardt that's basically it.

from our POV only Alvarez and Kean even play for rival nations.

its all the more funny since I recall it was said for YEARS that ALL German 00 CFs=rubbish, LOL. That one has shown himself to be one of best in Europe proves otherwise. The real 00 CF issue for us, is how injury prone the entire pool was. There are like 0 00 CFs that never had 1 or more MAJOR injury.

It is very unfortunate that Burkardt had such a long injury. Without it, we would be talking about him in the same way we talk about Wirtz and Musiala.

I still remember when he destroyed Bayern few times and almost landed hat trick once on Neuer too.

Also played role in helping us win U21 Euro.

has shown can be a difference maker regardless of team he plays against.
