all indications are that its Baumann vs Nubel to replace ter Stegen. Most think Nubel has the edge. kind of funny at how DFB hyped ter Stegen, Trapp, Leno and we could be headed for none of the 3, LOL. thing is lets say its Nubel if he impresses all season at DFB+Stuttgart then he could make himself perm Germany #1 over ter Stegen. would be crushing blow to ter Stegen if he never becomes Germany #1 even when Neuer retires...

3 - Dortmund's Karim Adeyemi is the second German player to score three goals in the first half of a Champions League match after Mario Gomez in November 2011 against Napoli (for Bayern). Furious. pic.twitter.com/rLxyXwyzJI— OptaFranz (@OptaFranz) October 1, 2024 Adeyemi might just get back into the Germany squad at this rate. Scored 5 at u21 level last intl window and has been very productive at Dortmund. Athleticism is unmatched. Given he's been much better in 2nd halves of the season this all bodes very well.— Lars Pollmann (@LarsPollmann) October 1, 2024
what a bias and dumb coach, LOL. Baumann shouldn't be sharing anything, some Hoffenheim bias and even worse calling up an Austrian 1st GK.........why not call up Atubolu??? Following ter Stegen's injury, Julian Nagelsmann is set to split the game time between Oliver Baumann and Alexander Nübel in the upcoming two games. Baumann is expected to start one game, while Nübel has a good chance of playing another. Both will fight for the #1 spot while ter… pic.twitter.com/LE2w29sj0c— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) October 2, 2024
Finally happening after propping him up for last year!!! 🇩🇪 Gladbach striker Tim Kleindienst will be called up by Julian Nagelsmann for the first time for Germany's upcoming games against Bosnia and The Netherlands. Kleindienst will replace Niclas Füllkrug who will miss the games with an Achilles tendon problem [@cfbayern,… pic.twitter.com/kKeu9JxkLl— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) October 2, 2024
I like how we are now trying the best/most in form CF's in their actual positions rather then ignoring them all and using AM/W's that play for a top club out of position. In recent times we've seen guys like Ducksch and Behrens also get noticed, along with regulars Fullkrug and Undav, all who could be deemed late developers but all who have deserved it based on club form, and particularly in Fullkrug's case and also in Undav's case in recent matches have shown themselves more then capable at international level. Will be interesting to see how Kleindienst does, he offers not only strong aerial presence + finishing but also is actually pretty mobile with high work rate and covers a lot of ground. All round CF profile.
so if Selke was playing during Nagelsmann time he would have been called up, shame that he isn't in 1BL. best CF in Europe!!!
BVB youngster in exclusive circle Adeyemi youngest German with 10 Champions League goals - faster than Real's Vini Jr. After his strong performance in Borussia Dortmund's 7-1 victory over Celtic Glasgow in the Champions League, there was a lot of praise for Karim Adeyemi. "He played fantastically. Not just today, but also in the last few weeks. He plays more maturely, more determinedly. That must be his aim," explained BVB captain Emre Can, for example. Adeyemi had previously scored a hat-trick in the first half and set a national record - he also joined an exclusive circle of well-known international top stars. The 22-year-old is the first German to score ten goals in the Champions League before turning 23. Only 15 players worldwide have previously achieved this feat - including Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland and Lionel Messi. "I set myself a goal this season. The warm-up wasn't so good, but everyone went in for the game," said the BVB professional after the game. After Mario Gómez, Adeyemi is the second German professional to score three goals in one half in the Champions League. Gómez managed this in November 2011 in FC Bayern's 3-2 victory over SSC Naples. For Adeyemi, it was goals nine to eleven in his 31st Champions League appearance - the youngster has scored as many goals as world champions Toni Kroos and Mesut Özil, who played 151 and 69 games in the competition respectively. In addition, the four-time German international reached the 10-goal mark faster than, among others, Ballon d'Or candidate Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid, who needed 37 appearances to score his tenth goal in the premier class. Mbappé is the youngest professional with 10 Champions League goals - Haaland the fastest Adeyemi scored his tenth goal in the Champions League at the age of 22 years, eight months and 13 days. For comparison: Lionel Messi was 21 years, three months and seven days old when he reached this number. The only two players who were under 20 when they scored for the tenth time in the Champions League are Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland. The Frenchman achieved this shortly before his 19th birthday, while Haaland had already passed the latter. However, the Norwegian needed less than half the games - while Mbappé reached the mark after 15 games, the then BVB professional only managed seven. Cristiano Ronaldo, who holds the record in this competition with 140 goals in 183 games, only scored for the tenth time at the age of 23 in his 26th appearance. https://www.transfermarkt.de/adeyem...schneller-als-reals-vini-jr-/view/news/444540
Blaswich and Koch have no business in NT, LOL. and Baumann shouldn't be #1 either, tbh. on Adeyemi Nagelsmann: "Karim Adeyemi got injured yesterday, but he's been in great form and is certainly a candidate for us in the future. He's currently a very important factor for the U21s in these important games. For us, he may not have had a starting role. Of course the players want to play for the senior team, but presenting yourself through good performances with the U21 is also recommendable for every player" tbc, Adeyemi is injured for 3-4 weeks so will be absent from NT anyways. LOL, nonsense, imagine saying this and pretending that his super speed wouldn't make any difference vs tired legs as a sub. One doesn't need to be XI to make a difference.....
Jamal Musiala has made more key passes (9) and created more big chances (4) than any other player in the Champions League this season. 🪄#UCL pic.twitter.com/Vdn295FvSt— WhoScored.com (@WhoScored) October 3, 2024
🇩🇪 Oliver Baumann is ahead of Alexander Nübel and could start both games this month. Baumann will definitely start the first game against Bosnia, while Julian Nagelsmann has not made a final decision yet on who starts against The Netherlands [@kicker] pic.twitter.com/93G5geDROD— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) October 3, 2024 one of the least good German GKs to be #1 whether perm or temp, LOL. this is a HUGE downgrade from ter Stegen, Neuer, Lehmann, Kahn from past 25 years. I think he's least good since Enke. Tragedy aside RIP, being objective I never ever thought that Enke should have been Germany #1 tbh. He was a 32 y/o playing for a NOTHING club like H96 and didn't have much of any European experience. I 100% recall myself at the time being pro-Adler/Neuer/Rensing over Enke. I thought next gen YOUNG GK was the way to go and these GKs had far more potential than Enke ever did. Adler got wrecked by injuries which meant he never went to live up to full potential and this is how Neuer got pushed to #1. We seem to be doing the same shit here, prioritizing age over potential and add some Nagelsmann bias as he knows Baumann from his time coaching Hoffenheim aka his 1st coaching job. not sure how Nagelsmann thinks a GK who plays EL and who was always decent to good MAX is worthy of being #1......Nubel at least has potential to become Bayern #1 post Neuer something Baumann could NEVER EVER aspire to do. LOL that Nagelsmann actually thinks that it makes sense to call up Blaswich due to playing CL with Salzburg. Blaswich also has no business in NT either.
