Looks like Fuellkrug's move to West Ham is on the home stretch. Medical expected to take place soon Transfer fee is 26 mil euros, with a potential 4 mil extra in bonuses https://www.transfermarkt.de/-sky-q...llkrug-medizincheck-in-kurze/view/news/441716
BVB is now turning their attention on buying Beier from Hoffenheim. https://www.ligainsider.de/maximili...rtmund-nimmt-spur-zu-beier-wieder-auf-360721/ although has tons of interest from Serie A, La Liga, EPL and even 1BL clubs like Bayer too. find it weird how BVB can go after Beier playing his 1st ever 1BL season last season but can't even integrate properly Moukoko. LOL typical German BS of we screw our own players while always eyeing and making more of an effort towards players not owned by us mentality.
but didn’t he turn out to be much older than thought? which means his development curve is way different than thought.
There has been speculation in the press (always denied by the players camp) but nothing officially or legally and the club has always maintained that they believe his age to be correct. Will be interesting if this topic emerges again now in the event of a transfer abroad, as obviously his documents will need to be ratified as accurate when signing contracts etc.
Where are the upcoming German coaches. With Vincent Company in charge at Bayern And Sahin at Dortmund, for me it's a crying shame with the lack of quality elite German managers.
Well obviously Nagelsmann is still young, Sebastian Hoeneß (still pretty young) has done a fantastic job with Stuttgart plus Fabian Hürzeler is highly rated, won the 2BL title at just 31 with St Pauli and just gone to the EPL with Brighton. We also have Miro Klose now coaching Nürnberg who will be interesting to watch. Many feel Sandro Wagner will go on to be a head coach somewhere soon, he seems highly regarded. There are a few others as well, I don't think we'll have any problem on that front.
Talking of German coaches, will be interesting to see how Flick does at Barca, if he can win or at least closely challenge for the La Liga title and/or have a deep CL run then his reputation will increase again. Tuchel will also likely get another big job again soon, most likely in the EPL. Terzic having made a CL final will most likely not be short of top 4 league offers either.
He's a German citizen. Everything else is completely irrelevant to the discussion of where are the upcoming German coaches at.
he's only poached in sense of NT as a player but he's a German trained coach too. same goes for Niko Kovac who played for Croatia but born, raised, dev by Germany. you can poach players to play for your NT but you can't poach them beyond that at end of day, they will always be duals.
Gegenpressing had some coverage of the Fülle move. West Ham offered BVB insane money for a 31 year old, which they are spinning into two much younger players - especially Beier who is 10 years younger lol So not without risk for BVB, but you can see why it makes a lot of sense for them to land a guy who will potentially be Germany's 9 going forward, at a very young age - and they can hold on to him for 4+ years It is a very dumb contract by West Ham, when you consider Fülle is likely to go into decline in the next 12-24 months So I do get the logic of this for BVB, but not West Ham
🚨⚪️🔴 TURNAROUND and DONE DEAL | Deniz #Undav will join @VfB on permanent deal ✔️Understand the agreement with Brighton is done. Transfer fee: €30m with possible bonus payments included. He will sign a contract at least until 2027 as per @georgemoissidis. @_dennisbayer |… pic.twitter.com/eqzjarD4JM— Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) August 7, 2024 Good to see Undav move made permanent. Will play CL with Stuttgart.
That salary was renegotiated a while back. Soap opera at the time with a lot bullshit from his manager specifically.
Intresting to see Vincent Company using Kimmich in a Double pivot with Pavlovic which could be a issue for the National team if this persists with Bayern. For me kimmich is better suited at RB
Groß is a really smart signing for Dortmund, already showing his worth (admittedly v lower league opponents) but no reason despite his age why he can't continue to be a useful NT player imo.
Germany captain İlkay Gündoğan has retired from international football pic.twitter.com/dPnRzAM10U— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) August 19, 2024
one of my fav players at City and especially his pre injury days at BVB shame he was so often injured in terms of his national career.
Yep. He was simply briliant in a brilliant city side. Just a pity injuries curtailed his international career, but the time is right for him to move on.
I wonder who the new captain will be? Most likely Kimmich I guess, although I'm not sure if he has the right mindset.
Joshua Kimmich is a hot candidate for the national team captaincy after Gündoğan's retirement. Kimmich was already vice-captain at the Euros [@kerry_hau] pic.twitter.com/BXk8HQ7W3E— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) August 19, 2024 would be terrible choice. -LOL few years ago was crying about how the NT failure hit him mentally and that he thought that he was one of the reasons for failure...........cough he's right cough. -he whines and bitches too much in all honestly I feel like there is 0 leadership in this team. If we have X or Y as captain its makes no difference and as if we are playing without one, LOL. for me the last REAL captain was Ballack. Lahm for me I didn't really see captain, felt like an invisible captain, one that has no presence and that I always forgot was captain. Plus his shitty attitude and lack of respect when taking the captaincy from Ballack is more reason why I don't see him as worthy.
