Ghana does not seem to be the right doppelganger team to try tactics simulation for the Ivory Coast game.

Ghana play like Seville of the mid 2000s. 5 men in their own half.
Ivory Coast basis what I have read are more aggressive and go for a lot more zweikampfs.

I expect a slug fest which Germany will win 4-3 or 5-2.

Generally those team do not park the bus. As Germany has terrific talents upfront, if the attackers are in form and clinical, we may see goal fest

Bayern's goal nb 100 this season and very important goal to keep bayern comfortable in the league especially after BVB won away in Stuttgart and to give more confidence before CL tie with madrid. Also good boost for him and for Bischof who scored the first 2 goals to put more pressure on Nagelsmann before WC

I think the Ivory Coast game will be like the Costa Rica game from WC 2006, but Ivory Coast are a lot stronger physically.

Guess who is back scoring? Moukoko scored his first league hattrick today in Danish Super League in the debut match for their new coach Bo Svenson.
Hopefully it is the revive of his career after many disappinting years where he stagnated.

It seems Stach got injured today for Leeds. Not sure how serious but he could be the first player to miss the WC.

So wondering about Bischof would he not be an option for a backup to Raum?
Yes it was only one game against Freiburg scoring twice, but it does seem he has some versatility and could play on various positions .

according to Bild he won’t play against Real Madrid tomorrow .. but just think Brown Vs Bischoff who would be a better backup choice .

I check this place for news about the German national team, but it’s been a bit quiet without Ger90. The updates aren't as frequent as they used to be—I hope he’s doing okay. And regarding Rüdiger, since I watch all of Real Madrid's matches, I can say he’s in great shape and seems to be injury-free for now. Even Huijsen looks like a great defender next to him because Rüdiger is always there to cover for him.

Both are good options but if Davies is fit again bischof won't be playing as lb for bayern so he won't be considered for this position and Brown already impressed in last match for germany so no need to change him.
However, Bischof deserves to be in WC as midfielder ahead of Gross and Goretzka imo. If Stach and Nmecha couldn't make it , Bischof chances will be higher to be included in WC.

Stach is expected to be out for only 2 weeks.

Bischoff's top performances have mainly been from midfield rather than fullback.

Bischoff should definitely be considered for midfield ahead of Gross and Stiller, but not Stach IMO. But Nagelsmann clearly doesn't rate Stach as could be seen from his very small cameo in the friendlies, so who knows. Our central midfielders need to have some good defensive attributes which both Stach & Bischoff (and even Goretzka when he feels like it) have, but Stiller, Gross, and Nmecha do not.

Nagelsmann clearly sees Nathaniel Brown as back-up LB. I have to admit I question this as I think Mittelstadt is much better, but I'm not a coach. Could someone tell me why Brown is considered better than Mittelstadt?

Nagelsmann seem to be a coach who sets his mind against certain players and in support of others regardless of actual performances or stats.

Selecting Bischoff would be a good idea because we have a good central midfielder with strong defensive qualities who can also play at LB and maybe even RB.

It seems we have another injury concern before CL and WC. Unfortunately Gnabry is injured and expected to be out for 6 weeks so he will miss the CL semi final matches and his presence in WC is in jeopardy.

That is no good news - he was for sure part of the 15/16 man squad

Gnabry is injured and not available for the world cup. Who will be his successor?

If Germany is taking 9 attackers then this is my preference

    1. Wirtz
    2. Musiala
    3. Havertz

    4. Undav
    5. Woltemade
    6. Fullkrug

    7. Karl
    8. Lewling
    9. El Mala or Sane

Another good striker emerging from BL2 club Fürth. Noel Futkeu only 23 yrs old just scored hattrick for struggling side Fürth to reach 15 goals in 2nd place.

I doubt Füllkrug would have any chance since he is not performing well for Milan. But I agree on the rest names. Maybe one of adeyemi, Beier, Gruda, and Burkardt could be in.

Or even a younger option like Pejcinovic could have an outside chance if he keeps scoring the next few matches.

Gnabry's injury pretty much saved Sané's ass. I think he has his spot sealed. Then, there will be now space for Karl or El Mala.

Sane will definitely be there now, JN is a big fan. I would bring Burkardt as his off the ball runs are very effective.
