Imperative he locks down his preferred position. Whilst a Jack of all trades sounds good, the actual true potential of the player improves in his best position.

Hopefully it does not take too long for Kompany to realize he is at best as CM or DM not LB or RB. Schweinstiger started his career as winger before Van Gaal shifted him into midfield in 2009 because he lacked the pace as winger while he was outstanding in controlling the tempo of the matches and in tackling which was decisive for Bayern and especially Germany winning the Final WC 2014 after a historic showing against Argentine.

Nmecha scored his 5th goal in PL. Did not expect he would do that well frankly.

Hopefully he finds a place where he can consistently start.

It was also reasonably common in those days for young prospects to start on the flank to learn and then progress into central midfield.

Considering the ever ongoing tensions of the Trump administration towards Europe and the rising threatening: if Trump continues his rampage, I can see Europe boycott the tourney this summer.

There's often talk of boycotts etc ahead of certain tournaments but when it comes to it nothing happens.

maybe because he doesn't play consistently......

you do realize that Urbig will never live up to his full potential playing here and there.

GKs do need to play to dev.

I don't see any point of criticizing a player who isn't the #1 GK. And he won't be SNT relevant either until he becomes #1.

Wirtz outstanding so far. Goal and a assist. But his game now has elevated to another level. Hes physically stronger as well as being a sublime footballer.

I've never been worried about Wirtz. They needed to transition their attack to one based around him now that Salah is busted.

Liverpools unresolved issue is their defence is hot trash so they will continue to drop points and it makes it hard to maintain pressure when you cough up dumb goals all the time

Wirtz was playing well even at the start of the season, his chance creation was amongst the highest in the league his team mates just couldn't finish. He tends to be pretty unselfish as well which tends to mean slightly lower goal output. But even then he's got 6 in his last 10, I would say double figure goals + assists would be a good first season total.

Now he's forming a good understanding with Ekitike his numbers for assists and goals are improving.

One of the issues they have is previously a lot of their progression came from TAA and the 3 midfielders were more the workhorse / destroyers

Now they need to base their creation around Wirtz in midfield, so that means one less midfielder providing the defensive power there - Wirtz is not that. At the same time, their back 4 have been terrible with injuries and age - so it's been easy to score against them. Even yesterday, they still could have been 2-0 down
