It seems Ebnoutalib is injured. I was not watching the first few minutes. Any news how serious is his injury? Unfortunately the injury came at the wrong time in his 2nd BL match only.

So we have 4 attacking starter positions I would assume that part of the 26 squad JN would at least select 9 players for these positions

what would your 9 players be ???

    1. Woltemade
    2. Undav
    3, Havertz if fit
    4. Musiala
    5. Wirtz
    7. Karl
    8. Gnabry
    9. The following have to fight it out over the next 6 months ( form currently between these three ) Schade , Leweling and Adeyemi( all have speed we need one of them ) although there are quite a few others …although can put Gnabry also in this pot of 4 to fight it out for the last two places

    Why not :
Sane - I believe he had his chances at tournaments and now some one else should get their chances
    Beier not consistent
    Ouedraogo needs mire time maybe
Burkhardt - we currently have better
El mala - need to see more of
    Amiri - also not sure

You forgot Pejcinovic . 4 goals in 2 matches. If he keeps his form he has big chance unless if he gets poached.

Tim Kleindienst should be on your list as well. He has almost all of Rückrunde in front of him to proof himself. We at least know that he works quite well in the NT setup and with Nagelsmann.

yes havent forgotten him or even Fulkrug (who is injured again with broken toe) but dont think either have a chance at the moment... But lets see... There is only room for 9 players max 10

Based on performance, Undav over woltemade. Burkardt has the best goals/90 than any other German striker in bundesliga. We will need to see if he keeps that performance level when back from injury.

I was very confident in 1990 and 2014 around our chances at the world cup

haven’t had that confidence since 2014 for sure .

Currently I am confident that we will play a fairly good tourney - ( possibly
Meeting france in the round of 16 would be a bit of a shame though )
However if our players can mature in the next 6 months find form and be fit, hopefully my confidence will be of such that we at least make the semis or final again where we belong

Same here. The 90 and 2014 world cup i was very Confident of atleast making the Final. Having said that Khedira injury in 2014 final dented my confidence. He was virtually irreplaceable at that time.

This time around I feel less optimistic. We seem to be a Jackal and Hide sort of a side. Very unpredictable. I really do hope we do well to build some confidence in our set up.

I've always maintained that had Khedira not gotten injured prior to the Final, Germany would have won the match within the 90 minutes.

ter Stegen must really love living in Barcelona if he's going to a club as lowly as Girona.

I would prefer a match sharp ter Stegen over Baumann, so hope he can finally play regularly and find his best form between now and June.

Nuebel has a bit of promise, and Urbig might take over Neuer shortly, but we'll see. Keepers are tricky.

I think if Nagelsmann has confidence in the youth we have potential to surprise a la 2010. If he just keeps all the same 90s born guys we will crash out early.

I was confident of winning the cup in 94, last time it was in the US.
A re-unified Germany. Ulf Kirsten and Sammer were supposed to light up the stage.
Loddar and Klinsmann coming off great seasons.
Kohler the best CB in the world arguably.

It was basically the 90s squad with more experience and a few talented East Germans.

The 1990s were such a strange decade. The newly reunified Germany under Berti Vogts were The Team to beat in Europe, twice reaching the final, losing in 1992 to surprise squad Denmark and winning it in 1996, yet they couldn't make it past the QFs of the 1994 and 1998 World Cups.

Which makes me repeat once again. Germany have gone on way too long without winning another Euro, and even worse, they have been surpassed by the odious Spain in number of Euro titles.

I think majority of these players peaked at 90 world cup and Euro 92, even though it was a Strong squad.

Yes that's my issue with Nagelsmann. He seems to loyal to the 90's born. If he gives the Youth the chance to express themselves, then I do agree, a repeat of 2010 is not out of the question.

Wirtz been outstanding today. Hes physically adapting to the PL now and his undoubted class is beginning to tell. Scored a sublime Goal.
