Interesting this year they will take the top 4 teams fifa ranking and assign them into different paths - ( Spain, Argentina , France and England ) - means if they win their groups the earliest they will meet is in the semis and the top two (Spain and Argentina ) can only meet in the finals

means we have to beat three of these teams to be become world champs (QF - Semis - Finals)
Like in 2010 we beat Argentina and England - but this time we finally beat Spain the the Finals.

    Also as per kicker;

Germany as always has pre planned a base location ( so far we only know it’s on the south east - I recon Florida ) . Due to the World Cup in three countires and distances this base camp would only work if they get drawn into one of these groups - C, E, H, I or L
Groups F, K and K would also work but those include Mexico and would not be that ideal .

Group G being hosted in western cities , would mean they would need a new base camp.
Mhh anyway lots of planning after tomorrow draw

This has got to be the longest, most bloated and drawn-out World Cup Group Stage draw ever.

Dam. Ecuador will be a very tricky fixtures in that heat. Also they are used to the heat.

Well hopefully Germany will qualify as one of the best third placed teams :p

But seriously we should ace this group - we might meet France already in the second knock out round …

The whole thing was a joke tbh. A lot of cringe, too much politics as well. What was funny was seeing Shaquille O'Neal and Kevin Hart stood next to each other.

Anyway the biggest issue for us could be the heat, Ecuador plus Ivory Coast will be used to it. We should start with a win v Curacao, which would make a nice change from the last two WC's where we were on the back foot right away losing our opening match.

Yeah, I remember Ghana was pretty tough for Germany in those conditions during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

    Isn't Curacao a cocktail? o_O

Coincidentally my film favourite director is a Japanese gentleman called Akira Curacaowa:p

Couldn't have asked for an easier draw.
The first game against Curacao should be 3 points a huge goal difference in the bag. Maybe if our boys are in last WCQ vs Slovakia kind of form, perhaps the Golden Boot can be sealed right there.

Ivory Coast is next, but they haven't had a player of note since Adebayor. Ideally, 3 easy points there too.

Ecuador is @Cris 09 's second team. So I'm going to be respectful. :p Should get 3 points here too. But given that qualification would be a done deal by the first two games, players could be rested and we'd see a slow paced draw.

Curaçao is based on Dutch players comparable to Albania with Swiss players. I wouldn't underestimate them. Also ivory coast is current Africa champion. Ecuador qualified 2nd only behind Argentina in South America.

I am not entirely sure if the label easy is appropriate or if our judgement is based on a false and heavily biased impression. Anyways, there is only one result in the end and that should be winning the group. Possible opponent in the rounds of 16 is France.

    Not that I disagree, however:

The African Cup of Nations is a biennial event which even the African nations don't take very seriously.
Morocco had an amazigh ( pun intended) WC in 2002. But their performances in the preceding African cups were dismal, and the team quite different.
Egypt won the African cups from 2005-2010 and failed to qualify for the WC even once in that window.

The WCQs are taken far more seriously by the African teams than the African Cup.
There is also the matter of European clubs not releasing players for the African Cup.

Would not use that to make a judgement.

I tuned in on a few Africa Cup of Nations matches.

The Africa Cup of Nations is hands down the worst of all the international tournaments.

The More I see of Schlotterbeck the better he gets. He's now Beginning of his Peak years, fingers crossed he's injury free as he is one of leaders and Main players for the National team and Dortmund

He should be the main starter in WC with Tah beside him. Rüdiger will be starter again for madrid since they have plenty of injuries and red cards , so it is time to proof himself again though I prefer he would be our 3rd or 4th CB with Thiaw.

Pavlovic is very talented but he is not yet world class. He needs more experience and he can reach there. In my opinion Schlotterbeck, Musiala, and Wirtz are our 3 world class players. Kimmich, Pavlovic, Nmecha,Woltemade are very good players. The rest are good players . El Mala, Karl, Quedraogo and Bischof can be our surprise weapons from bench especially if we qualified early and Nagelsmann decided to rotate in 3rd match against Ecuador then we could see more minutes from our young stars.

I don't think we ever had so much stars since 2014 when we had more world class players but less good players and worse bench than now.

The amount of quality in germany's front 6 was insane in 2014. All were at their peaks except for Klose
