Schweinsteiger seems to be ready for this game (having been injured before), so I see many scared Portuguese faces. It's surely gonna be an intensive & close top match (like 2008), so it's hard to make any prediction. I think I'm going for a 4:4 draw. Hmm, what was the result back in 2008? )
Germany-Portugal matches sure have produced a fair number of games in recent encounters. 4-4... Smacks of Stuttgart-Dortmund...
Tie low scoring match.......Wouldnt be suprised if this group is decided on goal difference.....+ or - points
Easy win for Germany...I just saw the 2008 game and the line-up in that game was: --------------------Lehmann---------------------- Friedrich-------Merte-----Metze--------Lahm -----------Hitz-----------------Rolfes----------- --Schweini-----------Ballack------------Poldi ---------------------Klose------------------------- This time our team is much better, while Portugal is at best the same. I'll go for a 3-1 win.
Your logic is outstanding. I don't know why we're even playing this thing. Let's just give the trophy to Germany and get back to our daily lives. Nice signature btw.. very appropriate. I will not be surprised at all to see Germany crash out at the group stage. Don't be surprised if Portugal put a whopping on the manshaft and Denmark to teach the Dutchies a thing or 2.
Any reason why you're expecting a low-scoring game? I'd rather expect 4 goals than 0. Germany will score.
I don't see Portugal stopping the Germans from scoring, the question is will Portugal be able to outscore the Germans?
Two good teams, first game is always special. Germany can score in bunches, but Ronaldo and Nani can cause big problems to every defense and it'll also depend if Mertesacker is in shape. Germany will have more pressure, but they're also more used to playing big games. 52%-48% Germany
He's only wearing the German shirt because he is too stoned and confused, he really wanted to wear the Portuguese one.
Germany: Neuer; Boateng, Hummels, Badstuber, Lahm; Khedira, Schweinsteiger; Müller, Özil, Podolski; Gomez. Portugal: Rui Patrício; João Pereira, Bruno Alves, Pepe, Coentrão; Veloso, Moutinho, Meireles; Nani, Postiga, Cristiano Ronaldo
I'd really like to see Klose in there. Eh well, Gomez will be fine... It's nice to have that kind of depth, isn't it?
