DFB watching 98 CF Berisha!!! Bolded yeah he wants to play Germany and not Kosovo. Flick's assistant coach Sorg sees Augsburg 1-0 against Leverkusen Berisha? "There are few better nines in Germany" FC Augsburg also won the second home game of the year. Mergim Berisha (24) was again the focus. Also in March? Mergim Berisha is not usually a man of big words. At least off the field. A yellow card or one or two tête-à-tête are now almost part of the game on the pitch. On Friday evening, after scoring the golden 1-0 against Leverkusen, the 24-year-old was visibly relaxed, even laughed and praised his team. "We resisted, put our principles on the pitch. That's what has made us so special lately." With the second win in the second home game of the year, FC Augsburg can take a deep breath in the bottom third of the table. After a turbulent January with seven newcomers and - as of now - five departures, coach Enrico Maaßen managed to form a robust and strong team. Six points from four games against Dortmund, Gladbach, Freiburg and Leverkusen are a decent record. "We're doing very well," Berisha praised his colleagues. "And we have made a big development." The same could be said of the striker, who has now scored Augsburg's last three goals and the goal of the day for the third time this season. "I don't think there are any better nines in Germany," says Maassen about Berisha. "You can see what finishing quality he has; with the left, with the right, with his head. He's an exceptional player in the box," who also works backwards. "It's a great development for him." Berisha is waiting for Flick to call So one for Hansi Flick? "The only thing I can influence is that I give 100 percent on the pitch and get the maximum out of it," said Berisha. "He (Flick, ed.) decides that, but of course I would be happy about a nomination." Marcus Sorg, Flick's assistant coach, sat in the stands on Friday evening and was allowed to watch how Berisha nodded off to make it 1-0 shortly after the break on the assist of youngster Arne Engels. "He's in very good shape," said Sporting Director Stefan Reuter. "Mergim scores the important and decisive goals, that's great." If things continue like this, the former U-21 European champions may be able to do so again in DFB dress in March. https://www.kicker.de/berisha-es-gibt-in-deutschland-wenig-bessere-neuner-935980/artikel#twfeed
CF Pool really increasing, ignoring 00-onwards Fullkrug, Nmecha, Berisha, Tigges, Ducksch, Werner, *Havertz* although from this I feel like Tigges+Ducksch are least likely also Volland, Stindl, Hofmann, Zoller, Dietz, Uth, Polter, Holer, Selke, Petersen, Niederlechner, Behrens, Michel. Terodde, Undav etc are depth
also not mentioned above but Berisha does show some athelticism in his goals in terms of bicycle kics, overhead kick, very hard shots too. Something I think is rare from a German CF these days. if Berisha does get called up by Flick it FINALLY ends the bias of Low era that CF needs to play in top club. playing in top club is important sure but when your pool is small shouldn't matter. You go based on package, potential AND 1BL showings. Berisha is a player with good CL and EL record anyways. Even in U21 Euro did well when we won just issue with him hitting post like 3-4 times, LMAO. Duals need to be like Berisha fast approaching 2 years post U21 and still hasn't bailed and instead working his way towards a call up. these days duals bail ASAP....
1621898400110100480 is not a valid tweet id A pretty nice goal from Adeyemi too and look at his flipping celebration!!! we have some exciting attacking young in Musiala, Wirtz, Adeyemi, Moukoko, Samardzic and list goes on and on. Our attacking Pool really STARTS from 02-onwards and that's reality.
427 - Thomas Müller makes his 427th Bundesliga appearance for FC Bayern, equalling Gerd Müller as Bayern's joint-top outfield player for most appearances in Bundesliga history. Legend. #WOBFCB @esmuellert_ pic.twitter.com/2wdNSzcqpp— OptaFranz (@OptaFranz) February 5, 2023

Terzic praises Adeyemi, was nice seeing Adeyemi destroy Frenchie Sildillia, LOL. During his post-match press conference, Terzic said: “He had a lot of good actions and kept the opponent busy. Freiburg were forced to commit several fouls through that side because he was always able to inject his pace into the game. He has improved in his link-up play, he has become more confident in receiving the ball and playing with one touch.” Karim Adeyemi on his goal: "My goal gave me goosebumps. We played well, created chances, stayed cool and deserved to win. For me, the looseness and self-confidence came back. But also in the team. It's going well, things are working that don't work otherwise." Real Madrid interested in Adeyemi.....yeah no, this is his 1st 1BL season, nowhere near ready to leave and as Terzic says he's improving his game the more he plays. He's nowhere near finished product. https://www.sportskeeda.com/footbal...ernational-karim-benzema-s-understudy-reports https://www.football-espana.net/202...l-madrid-make-a-summer-move-for-karim-adeyemi
he was a flop coach in Spain. And basically a very new coach. What's to like? He hasnt shown anything of note so far. I haven't liked Bayer since days of Leno, Volland and company. my fav era of Bayer will always be that Ballack, Schneider, Neuville etc era that got the Neverkusen moniker, 3 tourneys in 1BL, Cup and CL and 3/3 2nd place, LOL.

THIS, ONLY DFB and fans DEMAND world class in every position, LOL. Left-back question in the DFB team Freiburg's Günter: "You don't have to have a world-class player everywhere" to be successful Freiburg national player Christian Günter sees the performance discussion about his position in the DFB selection. "Did Argentina have world-class teams everywhere?" Asked the 29-year-old full-back in a "Kicker" interview: "That's the question. At the end of the day, it's about playing as a good team. It's probably the case that a Freiburg player isn't one of the world class. But you don't have to have a world-class player everywhere to be successful." The occupation of the defensive outer positions has been a (controversial) issue in the national team for years, including under national coach Hansi Flick. "Things like that are discussed a lot from outside," said Günter, who, as captain, is one of the top performers at the sixth-placed sports club. He has played seven international matches so far, and Günter was in the squad for the 2021 European Championship and the disappointing 2022 World Cup, but was not used. In addition to Freiburg, Flick, for example, David Raum (24; Leipzig) or Robin Gosens (28; Inter) are available. With Philipp Max (29), a former DFB player has just returned to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga and is hoping for a comeback. Among the most valuable players“In football there is a team, and each individual is a part of it. In the club, I often stand on the pitch and don't say to my colleagues on the bench or in the stands: you don't belong. Everyone is part of it,” said Günter. "It's important that you give it your all in training, push the others and then perform when you come in. I see the big picture.” With a view to the upcoming international matches against Peru and Belgium in March, Flick “already announced that there might be one or the other change,” said Günter. "I'm excited to see what my role will be like. In March there will be some indication of where the journey will take us.” https://www.transfermarkt.de/freibu...tklasse-spieler-haben-ldquo-/view/news/417852
Listened to the Neuer thing on Honigstein's podcast (one of the journos who did the interview) I am now kind of wondering if the issue wasn't so much the armbands as Neuer himself seems to be very all over the place. He's supposed to be one of the big leadership personalities in the German and Bayern sides.
Well, Neuer is clearly no leader. @Ger90 has said as much since Euro 2016. Furthermore Germany has registered their worst ever perfomance record under his captaincy. Freaking Julian Draxler won a tournament as captain, for crying out loud.
Neuer doesn't have the charisma or character to be captain anyways. Kahn is still only believable GK captain. But even if you ignore his position, he never came off as leadership material. Its always came off more as seniority aspect over anything else. for me, a captain needs to encompass a lot of things to be worthy. Although Draxler was CC captain, I always felt like Stindl was the real captain on field at that tourney. Shadow captain without armband. That's also something you need. You need leaders on field aka more than 1. Recent Germany has 0 leaders on field.......even the 2002 WC had a lot of leadership qualities going around. but yeah Neuer is worst ever captain for Germany. on another note, I do think Schlotterbeck has improved, lets hope he can play well for Germany too VOTE!!Julian Brandt and Nico Schlotterbeck are nominated for the January POTM award 🥇 Vote here: https://t.co/SWWw5t19NW pic.twitter.com/B97r2CVb77— Borussia Dortmund (@BlackYellow) February 8, 2023 Edin Terzic on Nico Schlotterbeck:"He has consolidated himself from game to game and has now played his way into the hearts of the fans with his goals and his manner. That's what we had hoped for and we are happy about his development."#BVB pic.twitter.com/KavldADFco— BVB Newsblog (@bvbnewsblog) February 7, 2023
