Why do we always play Hungary. Horrible team to face, make things very tough. Netherlands have a very strong record in the competition. Bosnia haven't been great in recent Euro qualifying but they have some good players inc a couple with German backgrounds like Demirovic.
yeah getting fed up with Hungary, we had them last NL+Euro 2020 as well and they were never easy to beat. They also embarrassed and relegated Pengland to League B, LMAO.
Have asked Julian #Nagelsmann in Paris: Will you still be the Germany head coach at the start of the Nations League in September? Have you thought about it yet? „I haven't thought about it yet. Since my contract ends after the EURO, I would say: as it stands now, no.“ „I've said it since the beginning of my tenure. The EURO is currently the focus. Then we'll see if I'm still the coach. If so, we'll prepare very well and try to get the most out of it and win the group (Nations League).“ „We want to play a good EURO. Then we'll see what happens next.“ 🚨Have asked Julian #Nagelsmann in Paris: Will you still be the Germany head coach at the start of the Nations League in September? Let’s not go by the numbers…he literally disappeared against Bayern…when these talents can impact a game against top team then they should be considered for senior team action
uh, that's not how call ups work....no coach bases things on 1 game, but whole season. Stiller is a major part into why Stuttgart is fighting for CL spot next season after years of relegation battles.
Völler has literally said he expects a few Stuttgart players to get called up, Undav already pretty much confirmed, then maybe Stiller & Anton too? Fuhrich was already there last time so expect him to keep his place, Vagnoman was called up previously by Flick so another possible. Maybe Nubel as well? Could see as many as 5 or 6 Stuttgart players in the squad.
Musiala seems to have stagnated in his performances. Has not looked the same this season but started longer ago already after WC. Hope he gets back on track in time before Euros.
Kicker XI CB Tah, CB Anton, LB Finkgrafe, M Andrich, W Beste, CF Fullkrug we haven't seen Tah+Anton since the 1996-1997 U21 cycle, LOL. 6/11 if one adds poached Stanisic+Demirovic would have been 8/11 and entire back 4.
5 - Niclas Füllkrug has scored five goals in four Bundesliga games since the start of the second half of the BL season - more than any other player in that period. It is also the same number of goals Füllkrug had scored in the entire first half of the season (17 apps). 🇩🇪 Toni Kroos on a potential return to the national team: "I don't know yet. I haven't made a decision. It's a possibility. We'll see" pic.twitter.com/P1rQZ8NuL7— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) February 12, 2024 Kroos is a hack we need Rudy back, best M in Europe!!!
I don't think calling up Kroos will solve our issues, you can't use him with Kimmich and/or Gundogan. We need a proper 6, more physicality and also some fresh blood in general, would prefer to see new younger guys get a chance like Stiller, Reitz & Rohl. Others with more experience like Andrich and Karazor could be useful too. We need a midfield that can provide a solid platform for the likes of Wirtz & Musiala to shine, whilst not exposing ourselves to counters. Post Euro I hope we see a rebuild
Agree. We need to look pass short term planning. Kroos 34, Gundogan 33, Gross 33, Muller 34. That's one ageing midfield. We need to get the balance right. Priority is a proper CDM.
Nmecha bros seem to have too long injuries -L.Nmecha=according to Kovac shall return this weekend it seems for 10-15 min sub -F.Nmecha=got injured after going upwards trajectory and has been out for 3 months....seems like he could comeback in a few weeks at this point neither is making Euro 2024 squad tbh, feels too late, already almost March too.
We haven't really had any rebuild. Low stayed in the job until 2021 and didn't change much before Flick took over and played pretty much the same way. Now under Nagelsmann looks like we're going to rely mainly on the older guys again.
Musiala puts Bayern 1-0 up v Bochum, nice finish. 1759257868237246795 is not a valid tweet id Also played a fantastic through ball to put Kane 1v1 v GK, but Kane blasted over.
