I'd prefer to hand the keys of the team to Kroos - taking defensive pressure off him and adding a proper 2 way midfielder in Gundogan

I think if Goretzka comes is as well, you have too many cooks in midfield and Kroos has to play much deeper

If the team is properly structured defensively and does not over-commit numbers to attack, winning this game is extremely feasible. Do not concede and the individual quality going forward will produce enough to win the game.

Another area to improve on is set-pieces. Already this tournament there have been a high number of goals from them, this is due to carefully planned routines, team mates blocking defenders to allow space for free headers etc. I don't see enough of this from Germany under Low. It is an important area and is something that is very possible to practice a lot on in training.

    How about this?

    -------------------------Neuer
    --Kimmich---Boateng-Hummels---Hector
    ----------Rudy----Gundogan----Kroos
    -----------------Goretzka-----Reus
    ---------------------------Werner

    Rudy can cover Kimmich when he is out attack, more defensive discipline than Khedira;

beckenbauer reminds us of 74, when they lost 0-1 to the DDR in their first match, and they had a huge fall out that evening.....The team then found together and went on winning the cup.... How much hope is that for us :)

    Also England RWC 2007

Senior team members rebelled against their own manager and took control - they made the final

France 2006 another great example of that :p

Shouldn't they stop undermining the team? :p

Exactly. Personally it seems more like people outside the team pushing this agenda

So I dont think Gomez Should replace Werner .......
Also Low practiced with 3CD so I think It will be a 5-4-1 Setup or 3-4-3.....

Believe Sule will make the team.......

    -------------------Boa----Sule----Hummels---------------
    Kimmch----------------Gundo----KrooS----------Hector
    --------------------Muller----Werner-------Reus-----------

Every line up I have , so far I have replaced 4 players from the starting line up against Mexico.... Its always been 4 no matter who or what formation I choose.

Good analysis of the Mueller situation from Honigstein

In short he has been poor for years now and was awful vs Mexico - he remains undroppable apparently - but how can this be fixed?

Bonus - nice interview with Lahm

I am seeing many people are saying just because some of our midfield and attackers are 28/29 years old, we are a slow and ageing team....is that a correct analysis?
How about Spain and Argentina who has multiple 30+ players in their first XI ?

It was a specific point from Ted Knutson that playing 3CMs aged 28, 29 and 31 vs a hard running Mexican team was insane

Of course you can play the older guys if your midfield has to cover less ground

Very true. And to be fair there won't be any team that are mobile like Mexico, they are like wippets

Reus needs to start, I felt they looked much better when he was on the field.

Let's face it. The game as a whole has become quicker compared to 2014.
