I thought Gündoğan was fine. He still doesn't offer a lot defensively, and he needs a hollding mid or CB behind him, but his passing and touch were still slick. He did a solid job.

There is no English equivalent for this word. Another fantastic german word that needs a whole sentence of english to explain.

Werner was an absolute menace today. His dribbling created so many chances. He can play against packed defenses.

he can but I do find he works better when he can play off someone up top. At RB he plays off Augustin or Poulsen, here he was so much better when playing off Gomez.

lol he got more hugs after the match was over than he's seen from me since I got back into town on thursday, so I think the furry ********er got over it.

and thanks, my father's fine, he just waited until later in the day for his bike ride than usual & the heat started to get to him a bit.

It is very emotional when you are on the brink of getting knocked out. In this moment it is not only about the national team but 82 million people. The country is backing us. But the press is very critical.

    Glad to hear that!

Hopefully Löw will finally drop Draxler. Gundo was good, and against the big sides we will need him and Rudy.

While I don't necessarily think Werner played poorly, I feel like Gomez might be a better fit for this team as the starter.

He will be a captain one day. His impact on the match as a RB is incredible.

I would not be upset if Werner starts on the wing instead of Draxler.

I don't think that's wise, despite him playing well when he moved there for 20 or so min today. For me the front is Reus, Gomez, Brandt, with Müller and Werner as potential supersubs.

Either way, having Brandt or Werner as an impact player off the bench is needed.

I think you're over-reacting to the positive impact that removing Draxler had & attributing removing that problem to bringing on Mario. Keep Gomez as the plan B off the bench.

If they go on to win, it will be this tweet that inspired them to victory #leadership

Bastian bled for this team. I was thinking as I watched this match that I didn't appreciate him as much as I should've.

His WC final performance was one for the ages. His body may have let him down eventually but he had the will of a champion.

I can clearly remember last world cup where Germany had issues against teams that say back and hit us on the counter, algeria, ghana, USA, and the big boys we were relatively comfortable, Portugal, France, Brazil Argentina

only game he's ever been good in is EC16 vs Slovakia and that's it. The rest pure garbage. Low says that Brandt took Sane, spot......more like Draxler took his spot.

and with upcoming wingers/AM with promise from the youth levels would hate to see Draxler yet again deny better players their chance.
