Is this some kind of Werder Bremen wannabe stadium? :cautious:

This team could really use Kruse and probably even Tim Wiese right now

There is a saying in Punjabi

kuj onj vi rehwan okhian sann
kuj gal vic gham da touq vi si
kuj shehr de log vi zalim sann
kuj mainu maran da shauq vi si

Sometimes the routes (to the destination) are difficult,
Sometimes they thought of the path is more dreadful than treading the path itself,
    Sometimes the townsfolk are cruel,
Sometime I/we behave as if we have a death-wish.

No room for error now that Germany has lost to Mexico.

I think yes instead of Boateng and Rudy as 6 behind Kroos and Goretzka

Hummels has heavily criticized Löw for playing that offensively

Im not surprised. He’s lost the lockerroom.

Play Süle as a Beckenbauer libero.

As much as I kind of feel like Mats shouldn't be one to talk in this situation considering his performance, he's right.

Meh, everyone today were victims of Löw’s 2-0-4-4 formation

However to take something positive from this game, Germany were exposed as much as they could’ve been today so hopefully they’ll learn and change tactics before the bigger KO games

Yes I still firmly believe that Germany will beat Sweden and South-Korea...

It wasn't the defences fault in the slightest. He has the right to criticise, because he and Boateng were hung out to dry.

Poor counter attacking and good defending from the CBs stopped that being a 4-0 loss.

Loew overloaded the attack and what did it create? Nothing.

It's good for Germany, Hummels is speaking out, before it's too late.

I don't know what shape Rudy is in, but if he can run tackle and is not rusty he should start in the bigger games.

Play a fluid front 3 with Reus Muller and Werner.

Choose Kroos and 2/3 out of Gundogan/Rudy/Goretzka.

With Reus playing the team will not have the cutting edge problem it had in the Euros.
I am not sure Suele has the legs for this or the positional sense. It's quite a hard position to learn. If Rudy is not fit then just tell Goretzka/Kroos/Gundogan to take it turns.

Loew needs to copy Madrid, who win big tournaments and not City who get thrashed.

Seriously, I'd consider something like this now:

    Süle - Hummels - Boateng

    Kimmich - Goretzka

    Müller - Özil - Kroos - Reus

    Werner

That's too radical and I don't think Ozil deserves to start.

I would be tempted to go

    Rudiger--Hummels--Boateng--Hector
    ----------------Kimmich----------------
    --------Goreztka---------Kroos
    Muller------------Werner----------Reus

Rudiger gives the team extra height both attacking and defending set pieces. He also gives more speed and stability at the back.

If the team needs a goal then Ozil can come on for Goretzka.

Ozil and Khedira must stay out of first XI next match and Muller should get 45 minutes otherwise replaced by Brandt at halftime

It's dangerous to underestimate Sweden. Remember they knocked out the Netherlands and Italy on their way to Russia, so take nothing for granted.

Let’s hope Gomez and Brandt are in the starting... any predictions on the Sweden game?

I think that Pep Guardiola was more responsible for Germany winning the WC last time. Over half the first team were Bayern players and worked with him extensively. He got them to peak level.

Wrong. It was thanks to Heynckes and Klopp that Germany won the last World Cup, because when Löw employed Pep's tactics Germany were nearly knocked out by Algeria, what with using Lahm as CM which was a Guardiola idea. Would you dare say England will win this year's World Cup because of Guardiola?
