Is it speculation or has it been DFB-confirmed? Black shorts are a crucial part of the white home Germany kit. To take that away would have to be IMO one of the worst decisions possible to make for a white DFB kit. I'd rather keep the bland-as-hell green kit than do away with the black shorts. It's iconic.

Bild lists 'footyheadlines' as their source. FWIW when 'footyheadlines' had the new Bayern kits and Bild posted it, the reaction was 'why would you trust Bild?' by some. I don't know if it's the exception, but it looks like footyheadlines is the go to source for jersey leak information.

All I know is that I am tremendously skeptical of a DFB home kit without black shorts. Why mess around with what works so well?

Yeah I agree, I hope it's false, but they seem pretty sure about it. Here are the details:

Anyways, we're not the only ones with a change in the shorts tradition. As you can read above, Spain and Argentina are going away from their usual blue and black shorts as well. Must have been some kind of point of emphasis by Adidas.

Hello everyone! ... checking on the internet I saw this recreation on a t-shirt design site that I think is very similar to the final version of the 2014 jersey, if this is confirmed next November 12 will look very nice, but the only bad thing is that apparently goes to have white shorts

of course I have to give credit to the page... http://www.designfootball.com/desig...ball-shirts/germany-world-cup-2014-home-14540

It would've been cooler if they kept the black shorts.. The jersey have the black red yellow.

The shorts with the same kind of stripe pattern..

The white shorts is a sham to the entire NT

Perhaps in the final design also change the placement of the logo of Adidas and numbers, I think the numbers will go to the left and the logo should go up to the center, just below the collar ...

And yes, no doubt with black shorts would be great.

I have to admit I'm somewhat excited to see this kit with white shorts. I like seeing "something different".... and in my opinion the German jersey's have been mediocre lately. They either need to go truly classic (1974), or try something new.

With that said.... one of my favourite kits ever was the all black kit of 2010:

I think I would prefer a straight line versus the V sign

This kit was intended to be worn with white shorts, not black short. You will notice that the stripes are white on the shorts and gold on the kit. If I am not mistaken, the white away shorts had gold-stripes too and this was the kit that was modeled during the launch. I don't know why they wore all black, did Argies have white shorts?

Either way, I loved this combo as well.

Yes - the white shorts were the original, but I'm not sure why they switched. I think white shorts with a dark top looked a little "off"..... but all white might be ok. I'm just curious to see what they come out with.

It looks as though it has been put in the wash a dozen time before having the national crest stuck on. I don't know what it is, but it just looks wrong. Hopefully the real thing will look better and I will of course be buying it, but for me the Nationaltrikot consists of white shirt with black stripes and black eagle - and maybe a pinch of red and gold.

I am just hoping that we are going to see the famous black shorts with this, or else it will be a double dose of wrong.

The white is good, the arm edges are good..

I like the stripe pattern on the chest, just not the color pattern. I really don't understand the color scheme here.

Why isn't it black red and gold???

Well, it's tiny strip of black, red, another red, yet another red, tiny strip of gold.
    Close enough?

    It's like purple/red/pink

I don't like this color scheme at all :(

I don't want to sound churlish but on an all white kit the curious "washed" set of colours will end up looking a little like a section of the gay rainbow flag. Someone should have told the designers that the World Cup is being played in Russia in 2018, not 2014.

I am convinced that this is going to be the actual design now, but just hope that the colouring in this particular rendition is wrong.

I think the majority of German fans are praying that they have black shorts...

It's an official rendition so the colour will look exactly like this and I can't see your problems with them. The white shorts will look strange though albeit black shorts won't fit either with this shirt.

Thw away kit is said to be a mix of black and red with black shorts.

Hmm. I am not sure whether the "washed out" one is the official one, but putting aside my reservations of the chest "V" I prefer the one in AntonioTT's post where is clearly different shades of red as opposed to purples and pinks.

Black shorts would fit nicely, so long as the crest, stripes and sleeve trim are black.

I actually don't mind the red/black for the away kit, so long as there is some gold in there - like the 2010 version which is one of my favourites.
