ex German youth International and later on Poland International Eugen Polanski is taking Addo's job at Gladbach.

Polanski also brokethrough the Gladbach 1st team from their youth.

Even if there is no official confirmation from Gladbacher so far: Polanski will in future work at the interface between professionals and junior staff and fill out the function of the "transitional coach".

Two years ago, Max Eberl installed Addo for the first time as a "Transitional Coach / Talents Coach", who should focus on the best young talent in the club in a targeted and intensive manner. An investment that has paid off in the opinion of the sports director. "We have had good experiences with it and the position is being filled again," Eberl explained in April, when Addo's departure for Dortmund officially became official. The new man is now found: his name is Polanski and from next season he will be responsible for the top talents of Gladbach.

I mean what's the point? More than enough striker options. We need to develop strikers, so play them,

Dortmund are entering negotiations with 00 striker Besong and add him to Dortmund II. Wonder if he renews if he's a II only or a potential 1st team prospect? I mean we do know that he trained with the 1st team towards the end of the season and now they want to renew.

seems very selfish from Dortmund to want to renew with a player who did very well since his comeback from injury and who could attract interest from a higher level than RL if it's only for II and no 1st team prospects. With 3 competitions and potential injuries wonder if he gets any chances if he does stay?

will also be curious to see what happens between him, Kehr (W/CF) and Aydinel if they all move up to II.

Although going forward Kehr might be seen as a Winger instead of CF, seems to have been more winger this season. While Besong seems to have done much better than Aydinel since his return from injury whether U19 West or the Championship run. Aydinel did nothing in last 5 U19 West games and lost relevance going into game 2 of 3 in the Championship run (last 2 games), his only goal was a direct free kick. While Besong in turn was growing in influence and was one of the heroes of the Championship run where he made Aydinel essentially irrelevant in game 2 and 3.

Besong also has the edge of height. I've seen places that put Aydinel at like 1.75 m vs Besong at 1.84 m. Besong also has the physicality and presence edge as well.

I root for all German players even if they don't play for Germany except when it comes down to them vs another German player. If I had to root for one to make it, would go for Besong over Aydinel. Besong is more interesting player and although both are duals, Aydinel is provisionally capped to Turkey. Besong could be yet another 00 alternative striker, was out for way too long due to long term injury. Will be curious to see who from all the 00 strikers really really pan out in 1BL.

makes sense, Koln is stacked in GKs, no point in staying and they even took 00-Krahl from RB U19 as well.

speaking of Lowen, seems like as expected his leaving FCN is not if it's when, whether before or after U21 Euros. Seems like Augsburg is one of the club interested.

    97-Richter

“Overall, I’m not pleased with how this past season went,” said the 21-year-old. “But, I was finally able to break through towards the end. I think that every striker has been through a moment like that. Everything starts working again after an important game.” Richter picked up four goals and six assists in 25 matches this past season—all of his goals came in the last six games of the season.

He found his form just in time for his team to secure their place in the Bundesliga for the eighth time in a row. And, of course, to give his all together with Germany’s U21 team at the Euros in Italy and San Marino.

Kuntz: “Marco took a big leap forward this past year”

“Our goal is to finish first in our group, to move into the semifinals, and to qualify for the Olympics,” said the attacker. “The most important thing is that we put aside what happens during our everyday club life in order to grow closer as a team. We will add the finishing touches to our tactics near the end of training camp.”

Richter made his debut for Stefan Kuntz’ team in September 2018 and has been invited to every training session since. Previously, he made one appearance for the U20 team in 2017. “Marco is a good example of the fact that a player doesn’t necessarily have to make their way up through every youth team in order to become a valuable player for the national team once you hit the U21 age,” said Kuntz. “He has taken a big leap forward this past year and has really improved through the game experience he has picked up with FC Augsburg.”

    “Easy-going, unpredictable and cheeky”

Richter calls himself a “street footballer” and sees his strength as being his dribbling, especially when he’s able to run up to the defence. “Easy-going, unpredictable and cheeky” is how he wants to play in order to become an important part of Germany’s U21 team at the Euros. “We define ourselves through our exceptional team spirit,” said Richter. “That will be very important during the tournament. If everyone gives it their all and we don’t underestimate any of our opponents, then we can achieve big things.”

Richter a W/CF did well enough this season for a club that barely survived 1BL. Good that he wants to make the Olympics.

also Kuntz has said what I've been saying for ages.
“Marco is a good example of the fact that a player doesn't necessarily have to make their way up through every youth team in order to become a valuable player for the national team once you hit the U21 age,” said Kuntz. “He has taken a big leap forward this past year and has really improved through the game experience he has picked up with FC Augsburg.”

as U21 call ups is based on 1BL-2BL play. Whereas U15-U20, soooo many players fall off when they hit U21 and the previous levels there is a bias in call ups and big club syndrome.

    speaking of Richter.

Burnic seems to be headed for Dynamo move in 2BL. Hopefully he stays there for like 1-2 seasons and goes back to 1BL.
    https://www.ligainsider.de/dzenis-burnic_6230/dresden-an-verbleib-interessiert-270771/

midfielders who recently took advantage of 2BL moves are guys like Dorsch and Fein who both are attracting 1BL interest. Burnic did well for Dynamo in his Winter move.

meanwhile another 98 midfielder Friede wants to make it at Hertha after his return from his Belgian loan.

    00-Majetschak to Aue?
The second division is after "Bild" information has strong interest and are already negotiating. Since the contract of the 19-year-old expires, he would have free transfer. But it is also quite possible that RB will extend it with Majetschak and give it to him.
    https://www.ligainsider.de/erik-majetschak_14418/auf-dem-wunschzettel-von-aue-270773/

there were reports in Winter that RB blocked him from moving. So either he refuses to extend and moves or he extends and goes on loan. Play 1-2 years in 2BL and if he does well enough he'll attract 1BL interest. If Aue takes him that's 3 interesting U19 players in 3 seasons they scoop up from other clubs. 98-Hemmerich, 99-F.Kruger and possibly 00-Majetschak, still time for more though.

Majetschak's pro career so far is
1 EL qualifier and 1 EL game, 2 games playing 33 min total.

so far RB Leipzig's 00 contingent.
    Krahl-moved to Koln
Majetschak-loan or permanent transfer to 2BL
Abouchabaka-2 year loan to Furth, next season needs to be the breakthrough season as he enters year 2
Ludewig-moved permanently to sister club RB Salzburg (meaning a move back if he breakthrough 1st team is possible)
Kuhn-moved permanently to Ajax, needs to make real progress next season. Still think he should have stayed at H96.
Stierlin-has pro contract and rated at RB but who knows their plans for him, 2020 contract. 2 pro games and 95 min played.

    still open
Bohmer (barely played all season in U19, seems likely headed for low level), Mekonnen, Hoppe, L.Kruger (made pro debut in 1 EL qualifier)

Is up-and-coming talent Roczen ahead of the jump?
According to information from "liga3-online.de" is the 19-year-old in the focus of 1. FC Magdeburg. After a difficult first round, the striker scored a furious second half. In just thirteen games Roczen scored eleven goals for the second team of the Berlin. The talented attacker is only contractually bound to Hertha until the summer, so that his future has to be decided in a timely manner.

In second division relegated Magdeburg, he could be a formative face in the third division. Due to the gang in the unterklassige league, there will be a change in the state capital of Saxony-Anhalt. With Stefan Krämer you even presented a new coach. To what extent Roczen could play a role in his plans will become apparent.

Since Covic takes over the first team of the Berlin, the Hertha talent would have significantly improved chances to take on missions in the professional team. Its current market value is estimated at "75,000 euros" according to TM.
    https://www.fussballeck.com/bundesliga/hertha-bsc/verliert-die-hertha-ein-grosses-nachwuchstalent/

Roczen also attracting interest from Hansa Rostock. Seems like either a 3rd Liga update or Hertha II/1st team, Hertha have Kirprit, Ngankam, Pronichev at the club too. Wonder if he has any 2BL interest?

according to Bild+, Moukoko is done with U17 this season and will play U19 next season (nothing new) and that Ricken warns that all his goals isn't a guarantee to become a pro but still praises the kid.

a 04 playing U19 next season is not a huge deal, I mean 03s like Rhein/Gunther etc are playing U19 next season. Moukoko is only 1 year younger than that.

    next season
U19=01-02. Last season for 01s, and 2 seasons for 02s, although numerous 02s have played U19 this season vs 00-01s.
U17=03-04, Last season for 03s and 2 seasons for 04s, so expect some 05s to start making some games.

looks like Uli Hoeness really likes this Bayern U17 bunch, especially seeing 02-Tillman and 03-Rhein
as two of the hopefuls of a great future from the Bavarian Youth.

what's interesting is that Hoeness few days ago admitted that selling Toni Kroos to Real was a mistake and Rhein is usually compared to Kroos.
