Strobl, Stindl and Hofmann seem closer and closer to coming back for Gladbach.

Yikes...Niklas Süle with a serious injury. Hope he doesn't become the next Badstuber

Hasn't been a good season for several German players abroad. Meyer is a bench warmer at Crystal Palace. Maxi Philipp finds himself benched as well at Dinamo Moscow. Schuerrle looks to be washed up for the Russian league as well. Emre Can finds himself severely out of favour at Juventus. While in the French league, Draxler and Kehrer are out for a while. Henrichs returns from injury but doesn't have much role at Monaco.

Max Kruse also can't even score in the Turkish league, as is now out until the end of November with a groan injury.

Kruse is embarrassing himself and Germany in Turkey he's been pretty poor for an inferior league.

Kruse and Schuerrle are a couple of players who I find to be washed up now and you can tell they aren't good enough anymore anyways and they're just doing it for the money.

Maxi Philipp and Max Meyer are the players abroad that I find the most disappointing. Both players are still relatively young and can't even get off the bench anymore. Few seasons ago they were both well regarded domestically in Germany.

Schurrle was always meh for club but good for Germany, shame.

this does imply that he's basically almost done as a player and likely continuing for the money.

Schurrle definitely was not meh during his Mainz time. It is such as tragedy to see how Schurrle, Holtby and Szalai ended up now, gone to oblivion. Same thing with Dzeko, Grafite and Misimovic post Wolfsburg. As for Schurrle, he was not that bad at Bayer, the tempation to go to EPL with Chelsea was too strong. Such a shame.

your probably right, I sometimes forget how he was pre-EPL move and once he made that move that's where he became meh outside of Germany NT. I feel like he's a Podolski type in that he fits better in smaller clubs, nothing beats Koln Podolski.

same for Holtby and that other German-Brit Hunt post Bremen.

that's always been the issue with moves, it can help your career or easily make it crash and burn.

Philipp Max could attract the attention of clubs again based on his current form.

Serie A always seem interested in German players....

Robin Knoche could leave the Bundesliga for Serie A this summer. As the 'Bild' reports, the central defender is on the wish list of several clubs from Italy. Knoche contract with VfL Wolfsburg expires at the end of the season.

The Bundesliga club would like to provide the 27-year-old with a new working paper. So far, Knoche has declined the offer. The 'picture' is certain: "His departure is considered to be decided."

haven't posted much goal highlights this season for older pro players. But what a fantastic strike for Sabiri's 2nd of the season in 10 matches for the worst team in league.

I'm annoyed that Sabiri who always did well in Germany moved to Huddersfield for 2 seasons in what amounted to barely playing and injuries and now back in Germany......

another annoying part is that his lack of game time+injuries is why he wasn't even contender for U21 Euro in Summer. Too late for that too.....
