They signed Trapp (permanently, previously on loan), Rode (permanently, previously on loan and is back from his injury and starting today in EL), Durm, and Kehr. On top of that they got Russ, Wiewald, da Costa, N.Muller, M.Stendera too. seems like Trapp, da Costa, Durm, Rode, Kohr are the ones who are likely to get plenty of game time next season. I have said it so many times before, German cbs beside Hummels/Boa scare me. We've had iffy defense for ages and now it seems iffy again. Even Rudiger has been average to solid for NT......to be fair to Stark wasn't too bad even with a bad moment. Although sometimes I feel like Stark's issue besides constant injuries is his lack of Europe experience, doesn't play high enough level for a cb. doesn't help that Torunarigha=bencher and Kempf got relegated........ Tah's partner in U21 Baumgartl is in Eredivisie, Uduokhai can't get off bench, Anton was relegated.Next U21 cycle outside of 3 players not far from 1st team with 99-N.Schlotterbeck starting at Freiburg there isn't anyone else playing high level, yikes. Then 00-onwards still too soon for that lot. we really need to find the next Hummels/Boa as in next great cb pair. sometimes feel like we have way too many issue positions that aren't helped by aging players.
