Dortmund probably promised Bellingham playing time or something, that way he is in the shop window straight away and can be sold for €100m in two years.

He has talent, but he is not so good that he goes straight into the line up. If he was German he wouldn't be starting matches.

Gio Reyna is the other player ahead of Brandt right now in terms of favour and is in form and just scored against Gladbach. Can't discount that. Brandt just needs to be patient and fight his way back when given the chance.

Horn and Hector are good examples that staying loyal to mediocre teams doesn't pay off for your career. Both in terms of money in the bank as well as in terms of improving as a football player.

When u see all these super talents play in Bundesliga and keep impressing everyone

u’d wonder if our talents are good enough for this competition ...

Some of them can’t even perform well on loan or in lower division...

I see many 24/25 year olds in BL still , they aren’t old. But u can clearly see the difference in quality between the foreign kids and the local ones

we need to have better talents ... dual national or not. Feel like every country (even Scandinavia or Eastern Europe) have produced better individuals than Germany these days

And not only England, France, Portugal and Holland...

I think Reus & Brandt start at Augsburg. Hazard started at LWB cuz he played there with Belgium NT coupled with Guerriero being hurt and Schulz being a bust. Reyna and Bellingham are good, but let's be logical here. Both are still a kids.

According to SportBild Hansi Flick is pushing the bosses to sign Mario Götze on a free transfer, but they are wary of the media attention a return to Munich would garner.

Apparently Flick feels confident he can help Götze achieve a renaissance similar to the ones Müller and Boateng enjoyed during his tenure as head coach. Götze is reportedly willing to take a big pay-cut and accept a 1year deal with an option for another.

Let's just say I'm very skeptical. Then again I've just watched that clip of Robert Lewandowski scoring five goals against Wolfsburg in 9 minutes and Mario Götze delivered a couple of sweet assists in that game.

Sadly he's no longer even the player he was in 2015 and even back then he wasn't that great.

I mean it's to play 4th W, it doesn't really matter and if Flick can revive his career. There is no loss in it.

plus short term with Gotze buys more time for Academy players.

A 22 year old Götze would of been amazing for flick, shame it took so long for him to get treatment for the illness and that pep was a good damn fool thinking he knows better than actual doctors
He can be Müller's backup while he can also get games at CM as well.

I think it would do Gotz a world of wonder if he indeed join Bayern

That's absolutely hilarious. It makes sense though since Barca are completely skint and they need a CB + he used to have potential + Chelsea are desperate to get rid of him.

In the last year, it looked like he has completely given up on football. Maybe he will find motivation at Barca. Koeman is a defensive coach, right? If Barca defend deep, Ruediger's weaknesses such as awareness and positioning won't be severely exposed.

Use him as an agent to get his buddy Werner plus Havertz and then sell him lol.

Rudiger was quite good for Chelsea 2 years ago, even got man of the match in FA Cup final v Man Utd but recently he's gone to shit. Maybe a move will help him improve, but he has some technical flaws to his game.

Lampard is a shit coach btw, I hope Chelsea realise this quickly or he will damage Werner and Havertz careers.

Barcelona have been a mess in recent times too.

not sure I would like this move, he needs to play as much as possible. We don't need more CB benchers.

and Thommy linked with Russia move, lol. I do hope Philipp returns to Germany though.

meanwhile Sabiri is headed to Lazio in Serie A according to numerous reports.

Completely understandable. In Bellingham BVB had the biggest talent of CM since 2000. He is already better than Scholes and Gerrard combined now. And in Witsel, holy shit, Witsel made prime Lothar Matthaus looks like U21 player. Good job Favre, maybe he should send Brandt and Dahoud to second team and recruit another English player.

But think about the profits at which you'll be able to sell that US/UK talent to Premiere League clubs in a couple of years! Hazard, Brandt and Dahoud just don't have the same sweet inflated market value potential!

It feels like that's Dortmund's entire raison d'être in recent years.
