... the players with long-term injuries: Lars Stindl and Mamadou Doucouré still have a bit of recovery ahead of them. I don’t want to say any specific amount of time, but it will be a while. Lars has to get back to being able to run normally gain, while we are giving Mamadou all the time he needs to recover in the way that we want him to.

... the returnees: Tobias Strobl, Ibrahima Traoré and László Bénes all feel like they’re new signings, because they were all more or less not available last season.

pretty much because they bought Mascarell. They choose a guy who was injured all season and who only played 9 1BL games for Frankfurt over their own loaned player coming back.

Wouldn't mind seeing Stendera and Geis at clubs like Werder Bremen, Hannover, Mainz, Augsburg, Nürnberg, or Fortuna Düsseldorf

    What happened?

It really seems to be a mistake to have made Kimmich a RB. He would be the 6 we desperately need.

Weigl has had issues ever since he got injured in the 2016-2017 season.

sucks that guys like him and Gotze are going backwards because of injuries.

He was rushed back from an injury that should have kept him out for many months longer than it did.

Hopefully Meyer and Geis can perform at a high level and move into the NT.

there is also guys like Geiger, Maier, Demme etc. A less worthy option in Can, although who knows maybe Juventus will make him reach that next level.

I think Weigl still has time to comeback from injury and more than enough time to impress to make the NT with 2 years to go.

Yes, he was. It's a cruel injury and with all the metal in the foot, professional football may only be possible with a lot of painkillers. About a year after surgery, you could remove the plate. The bone is probably healed by now but the ligaments, cartilages and tendons still need a lot of treatment. I really hope he can overcome the injury. I'm still trying to get to that point 2,5 years later but then I don't have the possibilities of professional football players, have I? [emoji14] the next season is very important for Weigl, he definitely has to work on his quickness and speed.

I also still have a lot of desire for Kramer to rise his game and be an option on the 6 for the NT.

lol, done at Schalke because they prefer Mascarell to him, highly likely.

but career wise, he's not done, only 24 years old.

Seems like the biggest question mark that remains right now is where Max Meyer is going to end up for next season. Training camps have already begun all around and he's still without a club. Latest report linked him with Eintracht Frankfurt vaguely but may not be the likeliest of destinations due to his wage demands. He needs to be more humble and choose a realistic club option or else he risks falling off the radar.
