Hoffenheim emerging as the leading candidates to sign Serge Gnabry this summer. Andre Hahn being mentioned as a possible replacement at Werder.
if he goes to Hoff, I just hopes he starts games and not rot on the bench would be cool to see Serge in CL next year and developing under a good coach. as for Hahn, he had a underwhelming season, so not sure why Bremen would want him? what's the word on Selke and Werder?
What makes you think Gnabry wouldn't be a starter at Hoffenheim? Hahn was a productive BL player before his injury. Werder is a place that resurrects careers and allows players to have their confidence back. Just look at how we boosted the likes of Vestergaard, Sokratis, De Bruyne, Gnabry, etc. Kruse became a scoring machine again. While even others like Di Santo and Ujah played the best football of life here. The Selke transfer all comes down to transfer fee. Red Bullz want 12 Mio, while what we're offering around is 8-10 Mio.
it's not that I think he will be a bench warmer, just hoping that's not what happens to him. As not every transfer fully succeeds. Just look at Selke this season. although that Selke transfer is bonkers, they paid 10 M for Werner but want 12 M for Selke who they bought in the 1st place with 8 M. Seems like RB want their money back+1/3 for him.
with that many options up front and given his age. I don't expect Johannes Eggestein to get that many chances if at all. Especially since he wasted his 1st season at Bremen II being mostly injured. He needs to reestablish himself 1st.
Basic agreement between Hoffenheim and Gnabry has been reached according to SportBild. They're also looking to bring in Matthias Ginter. http://m.sportbild.bild.de/bundesli...r-werder-bremen-bvb-51781364.sportMobile.html
Stindl signs extension to 2021. http://www.bundesliga.com/en/news/B...ptain-lars-stindl-extends-contract-444483.jsp
Toni Kroos scores a goal in his 2nd consecutive game. He's now at 3 goals for the season. It's his highest scoring season at Real. And now Real are 1 win away from winning the League which would be a 1st for Kroos. meanwhile in Italy, although Khedira isn't playing because of injury. Juventus, have won a 2nd consecutive Coppa Italia!!!Congrats Khedira and Juve are still on track to win their 1st ever treble.
Huddersfield Town have made the Championship playoff finale, where they will face off against Reading after winning on penalties. With both Lowe and Hefele scoring their penalties. that team has 4 German Players+ 1 German-American coach. Coach, David Wagner Players are Collin Quaner, Christopher Schindler, Michael Hefele, Chris Lowe. The players all joined this season too. if they qualify to the Premier League, they will have more Germans than both Arsenal (3) and Man City, Leicester, Liverpool (2).
Sucks for Werder, but it'll be nice to see Gnabry playing in the CL next season and learning from Nagelsmann. Luckily your midfield seems to be coming together nicely around Delaney and there is an embarrassment of riches up front...even if Hahn is one of the most frustrating players I've ever had to root for...
concerning the Team of the Season, tons of German in every position!!!! Goalkeepers: Neuer, Baumann, Horn Left Back: Hector, Plattenhardt, Kolašinac Center Backs: Brooks, Hummels, Vallejo Center Backs #2: Martinez, Orban, Sule Right Backs: Lahm, Henrichs, Piszczek Right Wing: Robben, Pulisic, Dembele Central Midfield: Rudy, Weigl, Keita Central Midfield #2: Vidal, Thiago, Fabian Left Wing: Gnabry, Grifo, Forsberg Strikers #1: Gomez, Werner, Lewandowski Strikers #2 : Modeste, Aubameyang, Chicharito that's 16/33 who are German, while Brooks is German-American but since he plays for the US I didn't add him.
If Sane was still in Germany he would probably be on the wingers list. Same with Kroos and Khedira for midfield.
Ingolstadt's Pascal Gross (25 years old) is moving from relegated Bundesliga team to promoted to the Premier League, Brighton & Hove Albion. https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/brighton-make-gross-first-premier-league-signing he'll join fellow German Uwe Hunemeier (ex Dortmund and Cottbus player) who's been there since 2015.
Hector just scored to give Koln a 1-0 lead over Mainz!!! 1st of the season. meanwhile England headed Gross equalized via PK vs Schalke. His 5th of the season.
