Löw just said that despite others saying different he still thinks Poldi can contribute to the team - on the field and aside. I think our hopes of him not making the squad will get disappointed

Difficult to say who is better hence they have very different strenghtes.
Can bosses the midfield in Liverpool and is better defensively and in bringing coherence to a team.
Ginter did very well when played as RB in the offence, with 3 goals and 7 assists in 24 league matches. ( Can = 1G, 0A in 30 matches)
It rather depends on which kind of player we need.

No Hahn, no Stindl, no Dahoud, no Fährmann

I don't like Podolski and Bellarabi either

Brandt, Kimmich and Weigl deserve their chance at the camp but as good as Weigl is, do we really need a player like him? He would be just a more defensive version of Kroos but I would've preferred a solution with more dynamic to go forward like Castro or Dahoud while delivering similar pass play and tackling ability.

Podolski and Bellarabi are a pure joke imo after the season. Schürrle at least had a good Rückrunde.

Average squad selection for me, especially if all these youngsters don't make the final squad.

I guess its only an assumption, but looking at the goal keepers and defenders , I would think if there are no injuries that the 4 players that will be scrapped from the team will come from the midfielders and Attackers.

I really hope its Poldi and Bellrabi... the other two not sure

After having won the WC Low is choosing his favourites even if not playing very well actually.
The youngsters probably will be cut from the final squad.
If you Germans want different and fresh players you should change coach after this Euro!

so 27 players called so that means 4 will be dropped, I think it will be mostly youngsters that fail to make it. Like Sane, Weigl, etc although I do hope Brandt makes it. But He nominated 4 youngsters so they could be the ones dropped at the end.

Honestly the team Low called is the exact one I would have expected.

I don't think Volland or Kruse would have worked given one's attitude and the other not being that effective. 2nd tournament in a row that Volland misses out. Problem is this team with Low there is only one striker position and the main ones for that role are Gomez/Gotze and other players can also play there.

Schmelzer and Durn are 2 players that have barely been chosen by Low post WC, doesn't matter if they are playing well at club this coach picks players that he's been regularly calling up. You look at the list of Defenders and Low picked all the same defenders that played roles in the Qualifiers and friendlies.

Others like Dahoud/Kramer/Stindl, got beat by Kimmich/Weigl/Brandt.

    Some more stats ....
If you add all the games together they have played 974 Games between 27 players , if you divide that by the team has collectively played 36 games as a team....:geek:, anyway for those you who like arbitrary stats...that dont mean anything ..

    Last one ...
team has played in a collective 974 games and have scored 218 goals, that would average 4.47 Goals per game..... wonder how that would compare to teams like Belgium, England, Spain , France...

Wonder even if this would mean that this team is very offensively strong?

No real surprises here. While I'd like to have seen Hahn get a chance, Loew was only going to pick one target man. Considering Gomes' age, season in turkey, play in last friendly, not surprised he got the nod.

I think Kimmich will make the team. Either because Bastian will make the final 23 and is a liability or because Bastian does not make the final 23 due to the injury. I fear Poldi will make the final 23....

I think Julian Brandt and Wiegl will be cut. I would not be surprised if Sane stays at the expense of Bellarabi.
