Wück not impressing right now... he's allowing this game to fall into the grip of Norway.

Just put Brand into the middle...

The mid-field is garbage... Wück has to wake up. Nüsken or Senß, never both. But add Dallmann to this and..., it just the Euro's issues all over again.

 This attack lol. How are the forwards supposed to score within a team that can't get them the ball in areas to be effective?

Cerci isn't going to make the World Cup roster lol..:speechless:

These morons don't understand she's the nations best striker, and want to convert her into a mediocre winger, because the attack lacks goals lol.

This is amateurish level of thinking that will backfire in the long run of games. Not good enough.

FT 2-0 Germany qualify for the WC, but have MAJOR problems to fix before they can consider any possibility of being a contender.

The mid-field is awful in its construction. The attack is too often non existent as a direct result of the mid-fields obvious limitations.

Wück only has 14 players he trusts lol, and still hasn't formulated a system to maximize their potential.

Tactical improvement initially taking too long to implement, but damn... the player selection has remained just as inconsistent as it was for MVT, and Hrubesch...o_O

Kett, Gwinn, Oberdorf, have to be main starters on this team come the WC. But they also need another elite CM/AM and winger to be introduced to this squad.

I hope Wrede would be the CM, with Mühlhaus or Alara the AM. But there's no way Cerci is going to be part of the WC if it means competing with Bühl, Brand, Endemann, Bender, and Baum...:speechless:

Seeing some footage of other WC qualification games, it's even more obvious right now that Germany are severely comprised with the creativity within mid-field.

Senß is great at winning possession, recycling possession, and dribbling beyond pressure. Nüsken is great at interceptions, being a deceptively strong heading pressence, and given space and time can produce very good long forward passing.

However, neither Nüsken or Senß can dictate match tempo, control games, or provide consistent goal threat. Leaving Wück the limited option of only one AM to try and carry the offensive work for all 3...

Currently the main AM role has switched between Dallmann, Brand, with the new introduction of Mühlhaus. But there's too much offensive work load expected for just one player to provide.

Meaning if this team is to get to the next level, it HAS to see Wück drop one of Nüsken, or Senß, and establish his mid-field with at least TWO legit box to box CM's with elite creativity.

The last 3 games Vs Spain, we've seen Nüsken and Senß appear in all 3 games, and honestly only be part of one game they clearly a key reason for the team struggling to create chances.

So imagine how much better this team can be, if it had a mid-field not only being defensively responsible, but in possession of the ball be capable of generating far greater goal threat.

At one point in time, a more inconsistent MVT Germany had Oberdorf - Lattwien as one of Europe's best double 6 combinations, in a squad featuring Lohmann - Magull as two of Europe's best tempo controling CM's. With Däbritz adjusting her style to be the teams best progressive passer.

And you know what all these women did better within MVT's chaos... create and SCORE GOALS lol. Beyond working hard defensively, what are Senß, Nüsken, Brand really contributing?

Potential replacements for Senß, we have Gräwe being best as a deep lying playmaker, and Deihm a highly suspect libero; but neither of these women suiting the style Wück seems to prefer.

I still beleive Nüsken's best role in this team would be as DM pivot, but if Wück thinks she's a box to box CM, I can say with 100% confidense that Oberdorf, Lattwein, Lohmann, all better player in this particular role.

And then beyond the established names i just mentioned, I'm also confident Wrede and Piljic are better than Nüsken in the box to box CM role too (Wrede looking elite in possession, and can generate goals through her highly impressive dribbling)

Dallmann, Brand, both being joined with Mühlhaus, Freigang, and maybe Alara as Wück's main AM options. But on the elite stage, it clear Brand not actually a creative force, but more of an all action ball winning dribbler, while Dallmann will frustratingly disappear for long periods of time.

Mühlhaus ending the league season with the most shots of any player, and thriving within the u23's as a creator of goals, suggests she's a potential wnt level goal threat. Alara showing a very efficient quality of shooting... maybe these two options can help upgrade the the mid-field.

But it's going to remian a huge issue if Wück expects one AM to carry the work load that Senß, and Nüsken, can't help offset.

Wück needs to end of the Cerci/Wamser wide forward experiments. Germany's talent pool of wingers/wide forwards better than the wnt coach needing to convert a FB's, or a strikers.

Endemann a clear upgrade over Cerci/Wamser in the wide forward role, Dallmann also more effective from this position too, this squad has 4 solid wide forwards without the inclusion of young options like Baum, or Bender.

I'm still confused why Cerci isn't being used as lone striker though, when she's obviously Germany's #1 striker, and posses a style that perfectly suited to Wück's lone forward system...

Cerci, like Anyomi, can retain possession, and use her dribbling to create for others. But also provides elite heading and penalty box instincts like Schüller.

Schüller's skill set is one of a traditional striker. Direct speed best utilised within transitional/counter attacking football, and the ability to score from high crosses.

Anyomi is able to work within elements of transition football, but thrives with the ball played to her feet, so she can turn and dribble, as she lacks a dominating pressence inside the penalty box

Cerci does both jobs of a traditional striker, and a more positionless flexible forward. Yet Wück continues to select inferior options like Hoffmann, and Martinez...

But if Wück moves Brand to a full time AM role, Baum would be a fantastic wild card to look at if it means Cerci also eventually removed from his WC plans.

The Top 5 FIFA ranked wnt's starting mid-fields this week...

    1.SPAIN
    A.Putellas (32) --------- M.Caldentey (30)
    ---------------- P.Guijarro (28) -----------------
Subs: Aitana Bonmatí (28), Clara Serrajordi Díaz (18)

    2.USA
    L.Heaps (32) ---- L.Yohannes (18)
    ------------ C.Hutton (20) ----------
Subs: Jaedyn Shaw (21), Rose Lavelle (31)

    3.GERMANY
    Nüsken (25) -------‐- Dallmann (31)
    ------------------ Senß (28) -----------------
    Sub: Lissane Gräwe (23)

    4.ENGLAND
    G.Stanway (27) --------- E.Toone (26)
    -------------------- K.Walsh (29) --------------
    Sub: B.Mead (31)

    5.JAPAN
    ---------------- M.Tanikawa (21) -------------
    N.Nagano (27) ------------ Y.Hasegawa (29)
Subs: Honoka Hayashi (28), Remina Chiba (27), Juri Ito (21)

LOL... Wück is really sleep walking towards potential disaster...:cautious:.

There's been no mid-field improvement since the Euro's... and unlike England's continued use of the same core of players, we have to acknowledge Germany's mid-field talent looked legitimately bad during the Euro's.

A healthy Oberdorf instantly improves this mid-field, but this still all feels so incomplete when it compared to rivals.

If the forwards aren't going to get chances to score goals, the mid-field has to do a far better job establishing a creative hub to compete with the best.

Of the FIFA top 5... I feel like 3rd place Germany's CM witnessed this week somehow the worst...

U23's final game of the season ended with a 2-2 draw Vs Denmark.

Steiner scoring both of Germany's goals, it's a hard team performance to asses overall due to the significantly weakened nature of the squad.

Personally, my big take aways from the Denmark games are Steiner being a legit AM prospect, Birkholz being the best striker we've seen so far for Germany at this age group, with Deihm not being a credible box to box CM option.

At club level Steiner shined bright for Hoffenheim in AM role, and looks just as good in this role for the u23's; making her another needed AM option for the senior team.

The absence of Birkholz was really obvious too. At the u23 level, no forward has looked as good as Birkholz, easily making her the biggest success story of the latest u23's season.

The big disappointment of the 2 games versus Denmark for me has to be Deihm. The DM/CB role she plays so well for Hoffenheim, hiding many of the weaknesses that are on show playing within a double 6 for the u23's.

Zdebel is honestly a far better CM player than Deihm...:speechless:, with I.Acikgöz being a bench player for Frankfurt a better CM than Diehm too. It's has me wonder if Diehm is just a strong DM pivot who needs to be given more basic tasks to be at her most effective.

In the double 6, Piljic, Zdebel, I.Acikgöz, Gräwe, and Alara; have all showcased the ability to defend, attack, and dictate play, while Diehm constantly struggles with the demands of this tactical approach.

Not a fantastic CB, but also a incredibly underwhelming box to box CM, Diehm might be a rare case of being a specialist who will always appears ordinary in various roles outside of being a DM pivot...

    U23 season GK's:
Non of the GK's really stood out in ways that should have the senior team coaches be thinking about elevating them.

    U23 season DF:
Defensively I think Landenberger, Gonzalez, the two standouts. Ostemeier at a point where she goes through the motions now, not appearing to have any future with wnt program beyond this level...

    U23 season CM:
Piljic, Zdebel, Gräwe, all standouts, I think Zdebel with more time has all the potential to be a very good senior level player, but with Piljic next in line to become a senior wnt player.

    U23 season AM:
Mühlhaus, Steiner, both very impressive at times. Steiner's new change of role from striker to AM, is what will likely see her value rise; and is litrally what a better goal threat Fudalla failed to do.

    U23 season WF:
Lots of inconsistent performamces from the wide forwards, I think Bender was the overall best, but with Baum's traits the best suited for her to become a senior player ahead of Bender.

    U23 season FW:
Birkholz would step into the u23's as a unknown factor, and end up looking like the best all round striker the u23's has seen in the new era; substantially better a certain striker who was much worse at u23 level, but currently in the senior wnt...

    Best senior level prospects:
Piljic, Baum, the two players I would see with a clear path to the wnt. Landenberger, Steiner, Bender the wild cards to pay attention to.

Birkholz also posses all the tools to be a very good striker one day, producing better performances for the u23's than Martinez ever did. Making her the prospect nobody saw coming.

Looks like Brand getting a well deserved break, but why on Earth Cerci can’t get a start?

other news; Germany beat USA 1-0,in u19 action but did have to endure a wave of US attacks in order to do so

I take it nutty-shiko fan club member @Lohmann has to make his pilgrimage since Jason lost, but remember you have to walk the Aokigahara and not the Black Forest!

I saw the starting 11 and seriously... 4-4-2, with Martinez - Kössler, starting as the front 2...:ROFLMAO:

Wück needs to get as far away as possible from the analytics department. He's about to go to the WC without any creativity in mid-field, and the nations best striker being in his sqaud...

This isn't good, he's not adressing the issues that need fixing.
