On the other hand, the Swiss wasn’t that good of a squad(missing Buehler Reuteler & Bachman) as well as not having any kinda of speed burner upfront to counter with(the u23 Nzt probably could it beaten them)
Italy might be an better challenge as they got an previous win & tie of current WC champs Spain

The wnt program continues to showcase Frankfurt being the new dominant force when it comes to aggregating many of the best nations best domestic talent.

And during the recent u19 games, I think they might have another legit prospect in the LB called Emma Memminger....:cautious:

Offensively, if Boboy ever develops a real shot off her direct dribbling, she might genuinely posses the type of tools to become a legit FW within the Bundesliga, and potentially progress into a senior wnt player too.

With some of the options on the bench (Schetter), I'm just not 100% convinced Gonzalez the best option for a wide forward role right now...., having seen her make improvements in physical strength, but still find her role at club level moved back towards a FB role.

Overall right now it's hard to judge this group because it's clearly being built for the next u20 WC. But if they can find some real goal scorers in that time, I think this could be another solid cycle of talent to watch grow.

Borggräfe replacing Johannes in the senior wnt marks an impressive ascent for the Freiburg GK...

Regardless of her teams general inability to prevent opponents receiving numerous opportunities to score, she's constantly made really impressive saves through the first half of the season, even making another impressive save on her u23 debut.

Meaning leaving out any near future possibilities Winkler moves to a top 4 club next season..:coffee:, we currently have a scenario Germany has 2 of it's 3 GK's residing within teams sat outside the games elite clubs...:speechless:

Dallmann had some nice touches to try and create for others, but with the teams improved 2nd half tempo, it's obvious why/how Freigang's traits were able to make the bigger difference for the team.

We just need to see Freigang do this Vs more opponents now, with Germany without Magull in desperate need of more players to finally step up and make themselves credible CAM options for the next major tournament.

Minge as a CB shouldn't be a credible long term option for the wnt. But again... her general level of performance for the wnt as a CB, is probably better than when she was deployed as a CM during the Olympics...o_O

I think part of this is down to the random positional switch she's had this season for Wolfsburg, where she's being tasked with a libero role where it means she tasked playing a hybrid CB/DM role on a regular basis.

And besides not really possessing a strong ability to make recovery runs, you can see how she's currently not completely dissimilar to Hegering in the way her CM traits translate to being a CB during Wück's first 3 games.

Lol... by her own standards, Bühl had a really bad game. But judging the overall ease Zicai would find in her senior wnt debut, I still don't understand why Cerci needed to be wasted on the right, when rotating between real wide players Bühl, Zicai, Endemann, clearly makes so much more sense...

If Bender can stay healthy, I'm even more convinced she's set to make a senior level appearance very soon; providing the wnt with another strong wide forward option.

Of all the various positions Germany has potential issues in depth, I think there's absolutely zero reason to ever see a FW's forced into one the wing positions on this team anymore.

Bühl, Brand, Endemann, Dallmann, now joined with Zicai, with Sellner regaining fitness, knowing an even stronger young talent in Bender soon to be ready, while Mahmoud, and Elmazi push for their recognition too, as we wait on the injury status of Alber, and Kett.

That's at least 10 genuinely credible wide forward options....o_O showcasing how needless it is to ever see FW's like Cerci, or Anyomi, forced into this team as wide players.

We don't get to see this very often lol, but unlike the idiotic logic that would ruin the WC, we finally got to see credible replacement options in fact exist for the wnt's various 1st choice defensive options...

I'm still confused on the reasons why Rauch part of the wnt ahead of Simon, and why coaches feel Müller needs to continue wasting time with the u23's too. But looking at the talent pool, there's no more excuses why Wück shouldn't be able to expand the depth of his FB talent pool.

LOL... People were really trying to force the narrative Freigang deserved to be a starter with the wnt...:speechless:

A nice 45 min performance Vs Switzerland, needs Freigang to continue this level of performance over consecutive games names now

Germany denied a penalty at the end of the first half, still no shots on target.

Enough... please, enough of the nonsense...:(

Linder being used as a CB, when you have Kleinherne as one of the best CB's in the league this season stuck firmly to your bench... stupid.

No more Rauch. Her form hasn't been good, and we've seen more than enough evidence now to grasp Germany has better options to select from.

Why is this team still using a double 6 with players who struggle playing progressive forward passes.... Again, we've seen this for far too long now, not to understand why this is dumb.

And seriously, can we all stop pretending Hoffmann is a legitimate replacement for Popp. Only the irrational logic of a 12 yo who's never seen Popp actually play, could form the assertion Hoffmann comparing to Popp makes sense; yet this seems to have been in full effect to get Hoffmann starting games for the senior wnt...:speechless:

I have a lot to say about that 1st half of football, but mainly it felt like we're still watching a team trying to balance various philosophies rather than just one...:cautious:

The same tired flawed ideas in players analysis on full display, with a team using the same system we saw struggle at the Olympics.

Until Wück makes this HIS team, using HIS ideas that brought him past success, all we're going to get is more of the same late era Neid, all the time Jones, all the time MVT, mixed with the positive and negatives of the short time spent with Hrubesch.
