A really bad tackle during the recent UWCL game see's Brand forced to back out of joining the wnt squad, resulting in Endemann once again bring chosen to step back into the squad as a replacement.

But seriously... why is she still being disrespected like this lol...; are the coaches oblivious to her being one of the nations best wide forwards, where only last season on limited playing time she'd become Wolfsburg's most effective forward...:speechless:

I mean... she missed some chances Vs Australia, but still created the opening goal with a great cross in a game Germany overall wouldn't be very cohesive in their approach play.

Regardless of quality, certain players always being actively overlooked for reasons that go beyond football. I don't think this is happening with Endemann, yet remain very curious on the true reasoning behind her randomly low status among the current wnt player pool...

The U23's have lost Aehling, Bender, and will see them replaced with Mickenhagen, and Janzen.

Bender is always sick, or randomly injured lol... so this isn't really surprising.... What is surprising though, is there still being ZERO players from Essen...

Maybe Essen asked the wnt to leave them out this time...?

More on Wück's recent interview, he'd say the door still open for Almuth Schult to potentially return to the wnt lol...:speechless:

He'd speak on wanting to eventually establish a player pool around 30-40 players, but believes he's a long way from having this in place.

Stating how he wants to create a younger team too, which is why he's decided to leave out a few of the teams more prominent names.

What's strange is seeing Wück insinuate he's not made a final decision on Gwinn being his long term captain...o_O, thinking he needs to see her alongside the rest of the group for a little longer.

Like I said before though, the most worrying reveal of Wück's interview is his belief in Freigang being a legitimate CAM...

This suspect view did however come with him stating his belief Şehitler not a striker/not a primary goal scorer... potentially hinting at her being used as a CM, same as she was during the u20 WC...?

In my opinion the most negative element of his interview though, was him describing defensive options as the weakest element of the wnt program.

It still appears no matter the coach, the same tired stigma against Germany's various defensive talent persists...:( Whatever the wnt program thinks a defender meant to look like, it sure feels completely unique to whatever the broken mess known as the wnt player analysis department believes most important towards identifying a good defender...

Come on Wück... if they honestly believe they can't win, that's surely a coaching issue, not a player issue...

Seriously... I feel like this type of thinking comes with him missing the part where we've all witnessed Germany's wnt program being run like a amateurish enterprise for a decade...

If Wück is sensing various players aren't showcasing high moral, it probably based on them having spent years without being able to trust in credible leadership.

A generation of these women pre Euro's, describing how much they used to dislike the feeling of representing the wnt.

Yeah... knowing the past, and judging the Australia performance, there's A LOT of work to be done, before this wnt returns to the position of stability and success it used to hold.

@luka74 off thread but currently watching live stream the AUS/Brazil friendly. Amazing how Brazil’s almost like B team out playing the Matildas practically all veteran squad(2-1 a half). Brazil using a very quick pace to out hustle AUS. Dunno how how long they can keep it up, but definitely feels like power shift for them and/or the need for countries like AUS & Germany to find more new promising players that apparently Brazil’s able to do—I haven’t heard before of several of three new played they got—Guiterrez scoring her first two international goals in her debut & even mentioned that they called up from Brazil’s 2nd division

definitely strong performance out of the u23’s. The lineups weren’t given, but some of Spain’s players looked familiar like maybe they were part of their u20 WC squad of thir last summer, But this team looked well coordinated, already to take on some bigger fish

I'm seeing reports saying Winkler is set to make her senior wnt debut today Vs Switzerland; further progressing my belief she'll be the replacement for Frohms when she finally announces her intention to leave Wolfsburg at the end of the season...:whistling:

thanks, while missing Endemann, Elmazi, Zicai, Landesberger(and Brand would fit into this age category as well) still this squad displayed exceptional ‘hunger’ in the way they played out there. Honestly, they should try & make a match with the senior squad(I think they can beat them). The one thing that can hurt them or take away their ‘hunger’ is—-yep, if Bayern or WOB buys these players-_than they’ll end up playing with the same complacency or even laziness as we’ve seen Brand Lohmann Schuller Hagel & now look like Linder & Minge going the same way. Well hopefully the lower clubs start paying decent salaries too of course, lol

what’s the scoop with the headline that said FIFA is going to supposedly spend a billion dollars on woso?(unless I read it wrong). Will Germany get some of this money & how will it be spend?

Never ever, and never will! :p

But since she's obviously of Italian descent, I had joked in the past with @Lohmann that it was a rip-off! Just ignore it.

The more I see Germany's various wnt's in action, the more obviously broken everything appears to be; to the effect it allows a newly introduced Wück to proclaim his wnt's defensive talent pool the weakest element of this program...

Factually speaking, Wück not been part of the wnt program long enough to truly know if this statement true, meaning it had to surely be shaped by the opinions of other people within his coaching department (Neid's spy Bartusiak...:devilish:), hoping to push agendas that have been in place long before the involvement of Künzer.

To me this best represented in Wück headed into his first match would showcase the confidence to select someone like a 26yo Giovanna Hoffmann, knowing she's a striker who's spent most of her career with clubs towards the bottom of the league, having never crossed the 10 goal barrier in the nations top division...:speechless:

Seriously lol, how can we see persistently underwhelming attacking options like Krumbeigal, Wamser, Hoffmann, hurriedly elevated to the senior wnt, while being told comparatively significantly stronger defensive talents like Kleinherne, Linder, or Wolter, simply not good enough to be trusted...

The way international football works right now, she'll have the ability to change her mind and eventually represent the Italian wnt if the Italian FA really wanted her... (I doubt this will ever happen though...:cautious:)

It wouldn't be the first player that played for DFB youth teams and then a for a different country on senior level where it's easier to get a place (Pawollek, Memeti, Sternad).
