how serious are the voters anyways when Schult(#3) with combined 270 minutes in league play last season & Laudehr(#6)with 500 min. are make it so high on the list? I posted the AUS vid on an US thread(whith dozens of posters/readers) and got no reply so I guess Jule Brand be our own lil secret
For different reasons you can see exactly why Germany continue to struggle finding balance lol. A great example is watching Rauch being used as wide forward versus Norway..., and I don't think I'm wrong suggesting they've (the team) got progressively worse since these matches too.
Oh, and seeing the new coaching additions at junior level... I wonder if the DFB's already preparing for it's next senior wnt coach... No signs of genuine progress with these players under MVT's leadership, with her time already showcasing many similarities with Jones; it doesn't feel like Germany's building anything in the hopes of accomplishing something positive come the Euro's. So... after being an assistant coach at Wolfsburg to both Ralf Kellermann, and Stephan Lerch, to then be co -trainer of the U-19/20 teams, would it be implausible to think Ariane Hingst has been given a more thorough grooming process for an eventual senior wnt coaching role..?
Question. How big of a chance has Bibiana Steinhaus-Webb for DFB presidency in upcomming elections? Rumour has it that she is missing some votes (mostly from South associations) but her chances aren't slim.
There are only rumours yet. It is unclear if Steinhaus-Webb even knew about these plans and if she is interested in presidency. Background of these plans is likely to limit the influence of Rainer Koch. Koch is one of two interim presidents of DFB, President of the Bavarian Football Association, President of the South German Football Federation, DFB Vice President for Amateur Football and a member of UEFA Executive Committee. While many DFB officials have resigned in the last years after various scandals Koch has kept his offices. He was accused to have tried to prevent Steinhaus-Webb from joining the initiative "Fußball kann mehr" .
Steinhaus-Webb will work as Women`s Select Group Director at the English referees` association in London.

Nusken the new CB? lol. Was expecting some newbies vs #41 ranked Serbla & #79th Bulgaria(possibly Kuver, Linder or couple of TP’s). But not surprised if sooner or later any coach will use the successful formula of Wiegman(HOL) of cutting down the essential players to as low as 11-14 as means of getting more chemistry Petermann instead of Dongus is the big surprise as she was only used as an sub coming in at the late, 80th minute for Montpelier the other day
This is why there's almost no reason to expect Germany capable of winning anything for the foreseeable future. They won't select the nations few real CB's, haven't formulated a clear strategy for a balanced mid-field, and still have a very obvious/basic individualistic approach to trying to score goals. The fact the DFB allows this to continue with all the resources they provide...
Still no Elsig, making it 1.5 CB's in this squad; you'd think a legitimate DM would be a MANDATORY plan for a competent coach... I maintain the belief MVT isn't going to be the head coach after the coming disaster that will be the Euro's. Making this entire process feel extremely pointless to me, as there's NOTHING positive being established for the future success of the senior team. They won't allow a man to be head coach, they don't have the appropriate female options ready to take the job, meaning this waste of time provisional era of MVT stagnation will just stumble along towards another mediocre finals appearance.
LMAO, Oberdorf, Nüsken and Lattwein in the defense?? LMAO and why is Petermann always nominated? she’s always injured and isn’t even that impressive for her club
So both Elsig & Simon seem to have lost favor with MVT despite looking great last week for their respective clubs. She don’t have any regulars at LB since either Rauch & Gwinn are trying to get back from injury. So the worry here is she’s going to start Brand again in that position. She’s brought in Doursoon & Lohmann, who don’t look like their best, especially Doursoon, who hasn’t started since undermanned Bremen toyed their way against her for 3 goals in an preseason match. and I don’t understand the move to bring Marozsan back all the way from a Seattle? I wouldn’t say Maro’s been struggling in the NWSL, she’s started in 12 of 14 games. But she only got 1 assist/zero goals in her stats so far. She’s an great passer, but she seems to want to come to an standstill when making a pass, so misses out on looking speedy out there. and I’m guessing it’s the end of the road for trying out newbies? Pro’s & cons here, MVT definitely needs to bring chemistry to the squad & continues promising newbies will not help that. So even against weaker competition, you want to get something going be with the current vets so they’ll be ready when they do finally meet a worthy opponent. Plus to save her own butt, MVT can blame it on the veterans(works better than blaming it on newbies). on the con side; AS IS, still don’t know if Germany has the top quality to win? Last time a German won the Ballon D’Or was Nadine Kessler in 2014. To win next year’s Euros, we would need an similar like performance(as Kessler had that year). Don’t know if you can blame this on an individual player; Brand had a brilliant debut, but by next games MVT turned her everything but loose(just like she did pretty much with Oberdorf) rather then keeping her on familiar right side wing role. But do feel to win the Euros, someone needs to step up their game play ala Kessler did in Euros 2013/Martens in 2017
... yeah... like I said at the start of the season. Brand will learn NOTHING with the senior wnt. All her positive development will come with Hoffenheim this season. Doursoon hasn't improved, Lohmann's grown massively, but neither of them have a created definitive positions/roles to play for MVT's goofy national team. While Doursoon has MAJOR issues, the one positive for Lohmann is that she currently posses the worst passing ability among the AM/CM's, and is still able to make positive contributions to a very strong Bayern team; making her stand out as a very unique option.
From the last WC... the wnt hasn't identified 4 players to create a solid defense... still doesn't have a genuine mid-field plan... and has only found Bühl as a consistent offensive threat. The Euro's take place next year... and your still talking about MVT trying "newbies" lol. Do you need anymore evidence MVT's not here to build a long term successful wnt...?
MVT says she'll be holding an exchange of ideas with Hansi Flick soon, having already spoken to the male U-20 coaches like Stefan Kuntz; and this because she believes in the highly professional experiences they can all share with each other.... Seriously... I understand that MVT has to try and appear a competent coach, in full control of her own destiny. But she's not fooling anybody with this garbage.
Klara Bühl out for some weeks with an ankle injury. Gute Besserung, Klara!
hopefully not an serious injury, but coincidentally Buhl is the one I pegged most to need to have an Ballon D’Or like performance in order for Germany to win the Euros one problem woso might have is an brain drain of especially men coaches who in terms of moving up is switching from woso to broso rather than moving into an more prominent woso position. We’ve seen this happen with Lerch preferring to coach an u17 boys team instead, as well as seeing both Barca & PSG coaches resign even though they had terrific seasons. And remember it was Horst Hrrbesch job to keep(if he wanted it). So I can understand you wanting see woso taken to an higher level, but the harsh reality is Canada’s ugly tactics was predominant in winning this year’s main NT prize
I honestly find this the most damning element of my scrutiny for MVT; and probably the wnt program as a whole. There's NO justification for a highly successful senior wnt program like Germany, to go into ANY international match, not having more 2 credible CB's... I mean... I just realized MVT didn't even select a LB for these two WC qualifiers either lol; with Tufekovic, Wolter, and Dongus on call... The process of the wnt couldn't be any further from the men lol.
Seeing how much influence she's had on Bayern's first two matches, even with their impressive squad, she'll be a major loss for their team. But for the wnt, this loss of Bühl will probably just expose how dependent MVT is on this weird highly individualistic team structure. These constantly imbalanced wnt squads only look worse and worse in scenarios like this. As Brand should be the obvious replacement for Bühl, but will now be pushed into a LB role...
If the idea was that a 20yo Buhl turns into the world's best player, then they were never really in the running for a Euro's title.. Bühl ---------------- Popp ------------------ Däbritz ----------------------- Magull ------------------------ ------------ Oberdorf ---- Marozsán ------------- Gwinn ------ Hegering ---- Hendrich ------ Rall If MVT saw this as her Euro's 11, I'm not looking at Bühl as teams leader/best player. But we know MVT's team selections are horrible, which creates this goofy reality Bühl would be more important to a wnt featuring senior names like Marozsán, Magull, Popp, Däbritz.
No excuse for the DFB giving complete reign of the wnt program to Silvia Neid. Or the DFB later hiring 3 head coaches, all so Jones could pretend to be a competent leader. Or allow all the same frauds who allowed this to happen to remain in their roles, to later bring back former wnt player MVT, so she can repeat the EXACT same patterns of failures. Maren Meinert lead the U-19/20's to unparalleled success, using the core of the wnt pool we see right now; but where did she disappear to..? There's more than high level male coaches needing to help the wnt program evolve...
And I still find it weird that Starke and Knaak are still considered for the NT instead of giving younger talents a chance... Doorsoun, a player I actually liked as a sweeper in pairing with another CB despite always some terrible mistakes, looked awful as a RB the other day in the match again Boardeux. And the whole situation with Caro Simon is getting ridiculous, not even a statement on why she's not being called anymore despite really good performances for Bayern? and Rauch is also out, so this squad has no real LB as you pointed out, Batfink...
