Lol do u know Chris Sutton , Dion Dublin, Atli Evaldsson, Gary Doherty, Paul Warhurst, Uwe Rahn and John Charles are?

They can both play CB and CF alternatively. Just because their teams need such attributes at different time

actually Dion Dublin was a CB, turned CF later (became EPL top scorer) and later became a CB again

Chris Sutton was a CB too. Until his CF teammate in Norwich called Mark Robins got injured , he turned CF (people also doubted). But later he was one of the best scorer in EPL

history told us that CB turned CF can have very good results at time

when a team need some physicality, duels and aerial threat up front. When we have absolutely no alternative, don’t see why we can’t try

Werner and Gnabry will play much better alongside a big striker. And this is proven

Dont want to interrupt your childish battle here but what exactly makes you think that Udokhai can play as a striker on national team level? Because he played striker in youth a couple of times? Because he is big and has a decent heading game?Come on,this is national team and not U19;)

Because neither Timo Werner or Serge Gnabry is a centre forward anyway, if we have no striker options other than Niederlechner, Petersen or Klos , I think we better find other solutions

Werner and Gnabry have no hold up play playing at the 9. No aerial threat , no duels won... just nothing

it is obvious that they need to play alongside a big centre forward

Giroud didn’t have to score goals in WC, not even assist. He only had to win headers and duels , make space for Griezmann or Mbappe to run from behind

We don’t need a prolific /world class CF, but at the 9 we need physicality, aerial threat and more duels won.

I much prefer a CB converting into a CF, rather than a winger playing CF.

not sure I want Berisha in Senior NT this early. He doesn't impress for dfb U21, not saying he won't make Seniors but for now should get more and more International experience and moving to better league would be helpful too. Looks better club player than NT one.

not sure why people keep bringing promoting U21 players. If everyone is fit none of U21 players would make it, they are back up players.

maybe Waldschmidt gets displaced in Fall 2021 but as long as Low is coach I doubt he'll go new players this close to tourney.

Hikmet Ciftci was discovered that he doesn't have German passport for 3rd Liga FCK.

DFB has rule in 3rd Liga that all teams need MIN 4 U23s who are dfb eligible in every matchday squad. Cifti was supposed to be one even if he played for Turkey YNT but dfb discovered while investigating whether he fit FCK's 4th U23 dfb eligible that he doesn't have dfb passport, LOL. FCK was fined $4000 euro instead of any pts deduction.

Ciftci is born and lived his whole life in Germany might not be German-Turk in official docs but fine to discuss players who are German by birth or dev. At end of day, this thread is for players who DON'T play for dfb anyways or about topic in gen. And to play for dfb it's all about docs anyways. You can be something without having papers.

    2nd case.

    1. FC Saarbrücken: DFB checks Marin Sverko's U23 status
The rule is clear: All third division clubs must list at least four players on the match report sheet in each game who are eligible to play for a DFB selection and who have not yet reached the age of 23 on July 1 of the current season. However, it is not always so clear who actually falls under this rule. The latest case: Saarbrücken's Marin Sverko.

Nationality is the crux of the matter The central defender was born in Pforzheim and is only 22 years old, but has both German and Croatian citizenship. Accordingly, he has played a total of 23 times for several Croatian U-national teams since 2015. That's not a problem at first, because as long as he has not played an international match for Croatia, he could still play for the DFB. But that could be the crux of the matter: in order to be able to change associations, a corresponding application must first be made to FIFA. However, it is crucial that the U23 players nominated for the third division squad are eligible to play for a DFB selection at the time of the respective game.

According to "kicker" information, the DFB is now checking whether this was the case with Sverko in the past, after SV Wehen Wiesbaden had made the association aware of it in the run-up to the game. There was a similar case recently at 1. FC Kaiserslautern: The Red Devils had nominated Hikmet Ciftci as the fourth U23 player - also in the game against Wiesbaden. As it turned out later, however, the 22-year-old did not have German citizenship and was therefore not subject to the U23 regulation. However, the DFB had refrained from evaluating the game against the club concerned in the event of violations, which in this case would have been accompanied by a deduction of one point, since the error was initially not noticed in DFBnet. Accordingly, the FCK only had to pay a fine of 4,000 euros. FCS fears no punishment 1. FC Saarbrücken is not threatened with any point deduction. Sverko was nominated nine times in the current season with only three other U23 players, but it is now too late for objections from the respective opponents. And in the game against Wiesbaden, the 22-year-old was replaced by Jonas Singer at short notice - officially because of an injury. For managing director David Fischer the matter is already clear, as he tells the trade magazine: "The player status of our contract player Marin Sverko was checked by the DFB before the season and stored in the system in the association's eligibility list as an U-23 player eligible to play for the DFB. " However, if it turns out that Sverko is not eligible to play for a DFB selection, it could amount to a fine, as with FCK.

German born Joselu scored 2nd goal of season in La Liga and winner vs Real Madrid, lol in 2-1 win.
    https://streamja.com/MB9Ze

don't think he's German on paper but again fine to bring up such players since this is place for topic in general and those who don't play for dfb.

    backstory.
Joselu was born in Stuttgart, West Germany, and attended school in the country for four years, when his family returned to Galicia, Spain.

    lol

England manager Gareth Southgate has identified Bayern Munich wonderkid Jamal Musiala as the next teenager to break into his squad. Sportsmail understands Southgate held talks with the 17-year-old, who currently plays for England Under 21s, at St George’s Park during the recent international break. The national team boss expressed how highly he rates the attacking midfielder during the informal chat — a clear indication the youngster is on the head coach’s radar heading into 2021.

It remains to be seen whether Musiala has a chance to make a late run for the Euros squad, but the product of Chelsea’s academy is on track to be part of England’s post European Championship plans. However, there are emerging fears from inside the Football Association that Musiala could be persuaded to change his international allegiance to Germany. Musiala was born in Stuttgart and lived in Germany until he was seven before moving to south London. The FA have a clear pathway into their senior squad for Musiala, but Southgate has said he is wary of fast-tracking young players into his squad merely to tie them to England.

of course Southgate has to be wary if you do it, others young players will complain when they aren't called up. Why him and not me? mentality.

It's why I like dfb method of avoiding too young players in terms of Seniors. YNT is there for reason and kids have place to play until 21-23 too.

also lol how FAs seem so afraid, if he switches or wants to switch from England than he was never loyal. And why should you care about uncommitted players???

Sounds like England are desperate, LMAO, calling up a bench player to Senior NT.

concerning Joselu seems like almost 10 years ago wanted to play for dfb but since he was provisionally capped by Spain in YNT and didn't have German docs, he got stuck with Spain. Although have doubts he would have gotten dfb call up anyways.

    from ages ago,
Striker was born in Stuttgart : Spaniard Joselu wants to play for Germany

The Spanish newcomer Joselu from the Bundesliga club 1899 Hoffenheim has apparently envisaged a career in the German national team. "My wish is to be able to take on German nationality and ultimately maybe even play for the DFB," said 22-year-old Joselu on the club's website. Hand off To press The Stuttgart-born striker signed a four-year contract with Kraichgauer on Tuesday and trained with his new team-mates for the first time on Wednesday. Jose Luis Mato Sanmartin, Joselu for short, had scored 26 goals for Real Madrid's U23s last season and was the top scorer in the Spanish second division. The 1.91-meter-tall striker had already drawn attention to himself in the Primera Division: on his debut for Jose Mourinho's team in May 2011, he scored his first goal against UD Almeria. Joselu, who is said to have cost a transfer fee of six million euros, has big goals in the Bundesliga. "I made a conscious decision for Germany because I really want to assert myself here. It's a great opportunity for me to play in one of the best leagues in the world. And that with a team that has great prospects and to which many good players belong, "said the hopeful.

    later,
After moving to TSG Hoffenheim, Joselu announced that he wanted to take on German citizenship so that he might even be able to play for the German national soccer team. However, according to the current FIFA statutes, he is no longer allowed to switch to the German national team because he did not have German citizenship at the time of his first international assignment for Spain in an official competition.

Roberto Soriano scored winning goal in Serie A, 1-0 win.

    takes tally to
5 goals and 3 assists in 9 games

good enough to be top 5 scorers in Serie A, only 4 players have scored more than him this season.

he's Bologna's top scorer and top assister this season. Also got Italy NT recall too.

Transfer market exclusive Ex-HSV professional convinces at Basaksehir: Arsenal & Co. interested in Özcan

Berkay Özcan couldn't find his way around Hamburger SV, but the central midfielder is a determining element at Istanbul Basaksehir FK. And has now apparently recommended himself for assignments in England.

As Transfermarkt has learned exclusively, several Premier League clubs are said to be interested in the 22-year-old. Market value Berkay Ozcan B. Özcan Central midfield 3.00 Million € According to information from this editorial team, the Karlsruhe-born Turkish national player has made his way into the notebooks of English clubs, especially at Arsenal, thanks to his good performances in the Süper Lig and at international level. Özcan has made 15 competitive games at club level this season, five of them in the Champions League, including the 2-1 home win against Manchester United. The "Gunners", who first saw Özcan in 2017, at that time still wearing the VfB Stuttgart jersey, have again become aware of Özcan, they say.

FIRST VFB, THEN HSV Berkay Özcan's career in numbers Last summer, Basaksehir transferred 2.5 million euros for the services of the previously loaned HSV professional. Özcan was initially on loan to his former coach Hannes Wolf in Hamburg in January 2019 and cost the second division side 1.5 million euros in the following summer, before he moved on to Basaksehir in September 2019. His contract there runs until 2024.

Sava Arangel Cestic doesn’t have a German passport even he’s born in Germany

his parents didn’t have German citizenships when he was born. So even he’s born in Germany, his parents who didn’t live long enough in Germany, he can’t have German citizenship

Situation is a bit like Yusuf Kabadayi and Malick Thiaw
