what's France bigger problem than Germany? Africans are a focus group, just that not that much for strikers but the other positions have plenty of African descents like cbs, wingers and even midfield. I'm not saying they can't be African strikers that pan out but as of now from Germany barely any as. just think, Makanda and especially Moukoko are considered one of the biggest African descent striker talents. If they are age frauds not many African descents that are left that are considered big striker talents in Germany until you go further in age groups. Unless you find a seemingly big young talent like Gedikli. Turkey is a different story, like you said there are so many of them that the success rate will be smaller.
I think Armindo Sieb and Jeremy Mekoma are also African desecents Mekoma is probably the best 2004 born striker other than Moukoko. I rate him slightly higher than Lucas Copado
how would you describe Jeremy Mekoma (presume born in Germany?)'s playing style and Lucas Copado's playing style? Both of these 2 were called up by German U15 camp for Nov. I'm hoping that German strikers just make it more frequently in 1BL regardless of duality/origins. France seems to have tons of strikers everywhere in Ligue 1. While we seem to have a harder time to get the guys having a career in 1BL. I think 1BL being a harder league than Ligue 1 makes it tougher for younger inexperienced strikers. Not only that but their success at churning out strikers also means they export a ton of French strikers all over Europe.
I think 2BL barely using young German strikers, even when they are there is also another blow to German striker prospects. That league is way too focused on older late 20s-30+ strikers and most of the young ones are all bench players or don't make squads/reserves. The amount of loans isn't really there either.Pretty much makes it that most strikers start in RL and have to work their way up. Even then some do really well in RL and still have 0 1st team prospects. another German-Greek is actually 91-Panagiotis Vlachodimos, the older brother, who currently play in France Ligue 1. Although he's played 0 games this season.
Mekoma is slightly bigger for his age, I think around 178-181cm now. N he is born in Germany . Very athletic n dynamic, is a goal scoring threat Codopa is around 174-176cm , more skilled They aren’t targetmen type but it’s hard to tell now, they are 14 years old and they still have 3-4 years to grow But Moukoko, Mekoma and Codopa are all very very young, maybe they will develop into different toe one day when they grow further
Yea, Polter/Terodde/Gruttner/Lasogga/Klos are starting in the 2BL and most teams start with one CF, playing 4231 They are not young , but not old enough to be seen as replaced I hope teams can try 442 or 352 more
France have lost some elite talents to other nations too I think Salif Sane, Koulibaly n Mahrez are some obvious examples I also think Harit n Niang has a good future
at the same time, it feels like France, a ton of their players reject their non French options. While German duals are very quick to jump ship even while still very young. It's like too many German duals seem to want to have Youth NT careers. I think the problem really is that we have tons of European (including and especially Turkey) duals while France it's mostly African duals whether from Arabic countries or rest of Africa. So players are more likely to go for another European country option early on. even Germany I noticed that rarely youth players from African descent play for the African option. If they do it's usually when they are older players.
Flying into the @ussoccer_mnt squad like... Congrats to Jonathan #Klinsmann who has been called up the USA squad! 💪#hahohe pic.twitter.com/Lt5WKzaZRt— Hertha BSC (EN) (@HerthaBSC_EN) November 12, 2018 Born in Germany to ex captain and legend Jurgen Klinsmann. Currently Hertha II GK who's 3rd/4th choice but both Jarstein and Kraft seem like they could be done in 2-4 years. Then the competition for successor seem to be between Klinsmann and Smarsch and a few others.
continuing the discussion from yesterday about African descent strikers. What are the relevant ones from their age groups? (If I'm missing players, feel free to add some). 96-Seydel 97-lyoha, Owusu 98-Amenyido 99-Gabriel Kyeremateng, Ekene 00-Herrmann, Awuku, Evina, Akono, Besong, Quarshie 01-Makanda 02-Pakia and Adeyemi won't go further because they are too young. -I got tons of question mark about Seydel. Does his cap off end up being 2BL or at best 1BL sub player. Mainz were not that happy with him over the Summer and I don't blame them. His game still needs improvement too. Has been injured for awhile as well. -lyoha, Amenyido, Kyeremateng are all pretty dreadful players. Besong who seems currently injured isn't doing that well either and Dortmund U19's 1st choice striker is Aydinel to boot -Awuku, Evina and Quarshie are players who've pretty much are becoming wingers. Awuku has been pretty much winger in Kiel II, Evina is a W for Bayern II and Quarshie seems to be playing winger for Bremen U19. they used to be strikers. Even German Youth NT played Awuku as a winger. He actually makes a pretty decent winger. -Herrmann and Makanda (question mark on his age) as discussed yesterday have done almost nothing this whole season in U19 and almost halfway through. Herrmann also seems headed for II over 1st team as well. -Owusu has barely gotten any chances in his 1st season as a pro in 2BL as Klos and Voglsammer are still 1st choices. Too early to comment on his future. -Ekene pretty much wasted a huge chunk of last season injured but seems to be doing ok in Hoff II. Although if one is realistic he fits the player with 0 1st team prospects. So he needs to go to a higher level over the Summer. -Akono, so far has done well in U19 for a club like Munster U19 and whenever he's played for the 1st team in 3rd Liga he's done well in limited time. -way too early to comment on Pakia and Adeyemi's careers.
Dennis Eckert's club, Celta de Vigo will be going through a coaching change as Antonio Mohamed has been replaced by Miguel Cardoso. For the last 2 match days, Eckert has spent with the reserves so it'll be interesting what happens after this change.
terrible news for Eckert since Mohamed liked him, with him gone would not be surprised of he's dumped to Celta II.
00-Evina who made his pro debut and played 2 games for Bayern last season is officially a Cameroon U23 player. Will be provisionally cap tied soon enough as they have competitive matches. https://www.facebook.com/federationcamerounaisedefootball/posts/2059422824123572 Guess after playing 1 game for Germany U18 and not being called up anymore, he went for his home country. His German NT career didn't even last long from Nov 2017-Nov 2018. 1 year but can't blame him. Evina is still a very raw player with potential. It feels less of a loss with Yeboah's 1BL emergence and impressing for Wolfsburg.
German dual players who choose other countries in recent times. Turkey: Yilmaz, Uzun, Aydinel, Kiprit Cameroon: Evina Hungary: Orban Greece: Vlachodimos Benin: Soukou USA: Klinsmann Jr (1st senior NT call up, was always a US player)
There will always be Turk-German opt for Turkey. It’s not worth mentioning anymore There are 126 Turk -German in 2003 age group in B-Jugend league for example
why isn't it worth mentioning? This is the whole point of this thread, it's all about the dual/triples and their choices. And one can also discuss their careers as well. not sure why you want people to stop discussing the topic to begin with. so most of those 126 are still in the lower levels since the 3 main U17 leagues is focused on 02 playing their last season in U17.
will be curious to see how many of 126 03s can even reach 1BL level, in the years to come. If one looks at past German-Turks, not that many were actually able to become 1BL starters. And between Ozil, Can, Demirbay, Gundo etc, we got a decent amount of the ones who really did succeed. a lot of them tend to actually move away from Germany going to Turkish League or somewhere else or they never pan out much.
I think out of 126, u can have a few who choose Turkey But there are really 8 millions Turkish descent nowadays in Germany. Not 2.5millions The consensus don’t count ethnicity in Germany. But there were reports saying it’s over 8millions already So a few opt for Turkey is normal
he's only 18 years old, are you sure your not mixing up Evina and the 24 year old German-Ghanian striker Wriedt? Wriedt isn't good at all and nowhere near Bayern quality. Evina did well when playing for Bayern 1st team last season in his 2 games. Doing well vs the Frankfurt players and Wagner should have a scored off his cross but completely fumbled it.
But he isn’t good enough for DFB u19 Kuhn, Yeboah, Jastrzembski And Burkardt are better wide players. Massimo and Jessica Ngankam are at least the same level as Evina Evina should know
more like the 00 group is packed with wingers/attacking players that offer too much competition. Awuku used to be a regular in U17 only to have fallen out post U17 WC to those same players competition wise. Unlike Evina he's still with Germany, the more he makes it at Kiel in 2BL, the more he increases his chances to make a comeback. He's already made his pro debut this season. still one can't say that Evina doesn't have potential when he got Bayern 1st team chances as a 17 year old and both games he played well enough for a raw kid. and since Evina has chosen another country and their being limited spaces in the squad. Plus Bayern won't promote much, I'm rooting for OBM over Evina, very unlikely both make it. On top of Bayern buying Davies and likely another 2 future wingers.
I think it could have worked out for Evina better if he was an 01 born player. it sucks how some players are born the wrong year. Some had they born a year earlier or later would have been a better fit for youth NT. While sometimes being born later means the club doesn't promote you to the 1st team because a player who plays the same position was promoted the season before. And there are limited spaces for promotions.
some more dual youth Poland U20 squad -David Kopacz (99), part of Stuttgart 1st team, has yet to make his pro debut. -Jakub Bednarczyk (99) from Bayer's 1st team although is only a back up player -Adrian Stanilewicz (00) from Bayer U19, last involved with Germany U17 -Marcel Zylla (00) from Bayern U19. From U19-U20, he went to Poland after playing Germany U15-U18 Poland U19 -Maik Nawrocki (01), from Bremen U19 Poland U18 -Marcel Lotka (01), Bayer Leverkusen U19, 1st choice GK -Kevin Rubaszewski (01), Gladbach U19 Poland U17 -Noah Koch (02), part of Bremen U17 -Pascal Polonski (02), part of Hamburg U17 -Nathan Wahlig (02), part of Wolfsburg U17 seems like all the German-Poles at Bayer Leverkusen, chose Poland. Stanilewicz was the last one of them that wasn't a Polish Youth NT player. Even an 03, German-Pole at Bayer is with Poland U15/U16. While the ones who are currently with Germany, at the top of my head. Jastrzembski, Adamczyk, Reimann, Poznanski
Keanan Bennetts's brother? Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Watford super kid Jayden Bennetts is in line to make his international debut for Nigeria after receiving his first call-up to the Flying Eagles squad ahead of the 2018 WAFU U20 Cup of Nations. Bennetts is an attacking midfielder who can also play as a striker and he's creative around the penalty area. The highly-rated teenager has cited Chelsea dazzler Eden Hazard as his role model because of the way he plays and creates. Jayden Bennetts was born in Barnet to a Nigerian father and German mother and this means he is eligible to represent England as well as Nigeria and Germany but the Nigerian Federation are in pole position to secure his services. https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=29980
