Norwich's Onel Hernandez out for 3 months in a freak accident....

Norwich City midfielder Onel Hernandez could be out for up to three months after suffering an injury while at home.

The Cuban slipped and fell on his knee, suffering a lateral meniscus tear in the process, Canaries manager Daniel Farke revealed ahead of Saturday's game with Newcastle at Carrow Road.

Hernandez may yet face a longer spell on the sidelines if he has damaged his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).

USA have called up 02-Noah Jones and 02-Max Dietz to their U17 NT, looks like both could get their 1st U17 caps in those friendlies. And this is last games before U17 WC, so if both make the WC, they could be provisionally capped then.

Do find it weird that they called up Jones, guy's a bench striker for RB Leipzig U19. Only played 1 game as a sub and that's it. And 01 Norwegian Holm seems like he could be unfit as he was absent post game 1.

what's hilarious to me is how Germany struggles to produce PRO strikers and yet other countries poach our youth strikers, LMAO. Jones looks like he could be the 6th 02 striker who has been involved with other feds. Although they aren't all provisionally capped tied, only Shuranov (Ukraine) and Asllani (Kosovo) are provisionally capped from that age group. And then a bunch of 99-00-01-03 dual striker have either been poached or had some involvement in other feds.

meanwhile 97-Ouahim called up to Morocco U23, seems like he could also get that provisional cap tie.

and 98-Muslija is permanently capped tied to Kosovo as he played 34 min today in Euro qualifiers in a 2-1 win over Czech. Seriously Czech these days are pretty meh and Kosovo continues to perform. They already have a German contingent and a lot more German-Kosovo players who have yet to declare for them and ones who they call up in youth levels.

half way through qualifiers and Kosovo is in good position to end up with one of the 2 spots in their group that includes
England, Czech, Bulgaria, Montenegro, that's not a easy group.

and the more they make Euros (expanded) and future WC (2026 WC-onward is expanded) the more the German-Kosovo duals could go play for them. The draw is always countries who can at least qualify.

99-Yalcin is permanently capped tied to Turkey now as he's starting for them in Euro qualifier. That's like the 3-4 very recent permanent cap tie of very young players. The Turkish 1st team has like 6 German-Turks in their squad for the qualifiers.

I'm wondering why Yuksel is even part of their U21, he's not even that good. Seems like the trend of Turkey U21 failing to make U21 Euro will continue, they really are very poor in youth levels. Wonder if someone like Kutucu feels frustrated?

Looks like after Klose and Podolski, the Polish-German striker pool has fallen for several years now. Przybylko, Denis Thomalla, and Martin Kobylanski are a few that come to mind. None of them have made it at a top level, despite being part of the youth NT scene for Germany and/or Poland at different points in the past. While Tobias Warschewski can't even find a club anymore.

Wonder if some current youngsters like Moritz Broschinski, Lenn Jastremski, and Dennis Borkowski can make it though.

Broschinski in RL is so far away from any high level. While Jastremski and Borkowski aren't really at nice clubs. Would guess RL for Jastremski and who knows about Borkowski post 2021 when he's no longer eligible for U19, does Nagelsmann rate him?

Daniel Hanslik is another one with Polish background. Looks like he's having issues establishing himself as a first team player at Kiel though

with a goal and assist off the bench in a 5-1 win and he doesn't even play for Germany. Wonder if Kuntz will attempt to make him switch?

Forget it. If he would have wanted to switch,he would have done it at the beginning of the season. But he played for turkey U21. Its getting harder and harder to switch now, he would be seen as a traitor by many in the turkish community. So,no,I dont think he will switch

sucks for him since Turkey suck. Although last update was that he was leaving his options for senior NT open, so he seems to be leaving the door open for a senior NT switch. And that's a big issue since senior NT call ups are harder from a German POV.

always said if I was a player would never switch unless it's senior NT call up.

What a shame. It's difficult enough having a locally produced striker talent develop and brought up directly within their own club. Kutucu doesn't even have to go through the loan system. And to have such a talent not represent Germany.

can't be helped since Turkey love to poach and Germany seemed to have preferred other options most who in U15-U17 now are nowhere near 1BL........Not surprising since dfb youth levels is filled with favoritism and calling up same players all season. In fact that dfb has coach going through U15-U17 with the same age group, with 00 it was Wuck, so he overall had the same players called up.

if one looks at Kutucu, he didn't play for Turkey until U17 WC, meaning he never played any U17 Euro qualifiers nor U17 Euro with them. Always makes me wonder was he waiting for Germany call up, that he delayed that long?

I mean dfb have also ignored 00-Mercan who is now in the Schalke 1st team. Have seen a lot of Schalke fans saying that dfb seems to be ignoring their players even ones who do well.

Kemal Ademi, a German born dual national that can represent Switzerland or Germany is currently the leading scorer for FC Basel. He's also the second leading scorer in the Swiss league currently. He played a few years in the Hoffenheim reserves and has never represented any country internationally as a youth.
