Kohfeldt did well. It's a pleasant surprise.

Farke reminds me of David Wagner. Gets results in the Championship level playing as the hardworking underdog. But not necessarily a top level strategist.

Rather see Tedesco get a chance first and how he would do in the Buli again.

Marko Rose - saved by the international break. If BVB lose again after the Buli resume, he should get the boot.

Tbf Rose is not being helped by injuries, nor by Dortmund’s unbalanced squad. Haaland, Guerreiro and Dahoud are big misses and there is a lack of quality at DM, RB and W. Malen has so far been a flop, which hasn’t helped either.

That being said I haven’t been overly impressed that he hasn’t been able to fix the defensive issues but the team has at least generally shown good fighting spirit. They have also beaten most teams they would expect to beat, which has not always been the case in recent seasons. However the weak showings at Ajax and yesterday in Leipzig will be a worry.

Well I was wrong about Farke not getting fired. Very surprised as given their squad I don’t see another coach doing better. At least with Farke they knew they always had a good chance of bouncing straight back, which is pretty much all they can hope for at this point.

Rose will probably be given at least the whole season to see how Dortmund does as a campaign. Management don't want to rock the boat too much unless they suddenly plummet down to like 10th place. It's also not like there's a crop of coaches available who are worthy for the position.

Frankly, a 2nd place finish in the Buli is what's realistically expected anyways. Bayern is too stacked and operating as a well oiled machine to take down in the league title over the course of a season. Dortmund's best hope at silverware is the Pokal tbh.

El Kloppo loses a tough one against a resilient and surging West Ham who leaps ahead of them for 3rd place momentarily in the EPL table

While Tuchel dropped points after a Burnley equalizer in the second half which ended in a draw. Chelsea remain 3 points ahead of Man City though after 11 match days

The Jahrhundert coach deserves a nice cozy gig in the MLS just before he finishes up the career before retirement

Probably a Turkish club. In Germany only the big clubs can spend his salary but won't do that. For a good manager job abroad he needed to left the DFB after the 2018 disaster. For Italy or Spain he also misses the language skills and I can't see Jogi investing that extra effort for a job. So he will probably end in Turkey or cash in in China/US

Both Klopp and Tuchel with emphatic wins today in EPL, Liverpool 4-0 vs Arsenal and Chelsea 3-0 vs Leicester. Pressure at top of the table remains high.

After the Anfang debacle, some names are being loosely floated around for the coaching job at Werder Bremen.

Ole Werner who was let go from Holstein Kiel, Daniel Farke who was formerly with Norwich, Peter Zeidler from St. Gallen and Alex Zorniger from a Cyprus club. Although the latter two are still in contract with a club and seems unlikely Werder will pay any extra fees to get them.

Bruno Labbadia also mentioned since he has a past connection having played with them in the past. Although unclear how serious he would be

  14. Yesterday evening it was the clash of the former Redbull colleagues Schmidt and Thomas Letsch with Schmidt the winner in the PSV-Vitesse match.

Looks like after a run of 4 consecutive seasons of being Swiss League champs, Young Boys with David Wagner now at the helm are at risk of slipping out this campaign. Competing in the CL also a possible factor at wearing them out further, in which they also look most likely to drop out from the group stages too barring any miracles in the final match.

Interestingly, the club who is currently leading the Swiss league right now FC Zurich is the German Andre Breitenreiter. Which also comes as a surprise with their roster of less depth in talent.

Already two weeks ago reported by 'Bild', Marco Rose will get a grace period until the winter break. A change in the coaching position is no longer ruled out, however, should FC Bayern run away in the Bundesliga by then or BVB should be eliminated from the Champions League.

Scenario two has now occurred, in the meantime the important games against VfL Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich are on the program in the league. The 'Ruhr Nachrichten' also reported today: "Rose and the team will be under closer observation in the coming weeks."

    "Troubled Christmas"

Rumors about a dissatisfied BVB cabin are already "in the world" . Rose, it is said, knows "that he too has to deliver." If that does not succeed, writes the 'kicker', "there is a risk of a restless Christmas - and debates that Dortmund actually wanted to avoid."

With the negative snapshot it is also clear: Rose is still a long way from being fired, although the 'Bild' recently brought a potential successor into play: Edin Terzic, DFB Cup winner from the previous season and currently Technical Director, is still standing ready.

Rose hasn’t inspired too much confidence but let’s be honest, he can’t be blamed for most of the issues at the club. So much money wasted on mediocrity, a terrible injury record (surely the training/medical facilities/medical staff have to be looked at) and an unbalanced squad are gonna make it tough for any coach.

Chelsea may have the best odds of going all the way IMO. Taking an EPL and CL double also very possible for Tuchel and Klopp.

A lot of Buli clubs do seem to be pretty trigger happy when things go downhill quickly and impatient. To be fair to Rose, he probably deserves at least a season and a half or so to see how they stand and compete.
