Campbell gets another start against Stoke City, leading 1-0. Paramount+. Listed online as RB - curious if that's true.
Campbell did indeed play right back. Not much going forward, but did create one chance, and drew some compliments from the commentator and chants of USA from the travelling fans in a 1-0 win over Stoke. Undefeated league start to the Campbell era continues.
Campell starting again, today against Leicester in a matchup of promotion wannabes. Paramount+. Dike not back. From the personnel, guessing we're looking at Campbell being RB in a back 4 again.
Campbell MOTM, going 9/10 on duels and 2/2 on dribbles, and making it well into stoppage time with a shutout ... but WBA choke away points against Leicester as Josh Maja epically misses a sitter and Phillips scores an own goal very late in the match. Oops.

Campbell played all of a 3-0 loss to Millwall that sees WBA drop out of the playoff spots. Nothing wrong with his stats other than the three conceded, but that's a pretty big stat. Worst day of the season so far.
Campbell lined up as right back again in 2-1 victory on Oct 18. He's played right back in all his matches at West Brom. Could he play the right side of a back-three? https://www.transfermarkt.us/george-campbell/leistungsdaten/spieler/585769
West Brom started the season in a back-3 and Campbell played CB in a couple of them... I actually think they had him at LCB in those initial games (8/16 and 8/23). He was very good in these performances... so I was bummed they switched to a back 4. At least he has held on to the RB position... he is probably the biggest RB you will see on a pro pitch.
Campbell with good reviews again today, but in a 1-0 loss to Ipswich. Credited with 15 defensive contributions and one of the highest ratings on the squad. Subbed off in the 88th minute for our friend Daryl Dike shortly after Ipswich took the lead. Three losses in the last four league matches leave WBA on the outside looking in at the promotion race.
Bringing up from way down on Page 5. Campbell still playing RB at West Brom despite doing very well at CB early in the season. Had a nice assist in the 2-0 will against Sheffield United yesterday... the play is at ~4:15'
On the bench (with Dike): West Bromwich Albion on X: "The Albion. Alex Mowatt (foot) and Jayson Molumby (calf) both miss out with minor knocks picked up against Leicester. @BarberbossUK | #WBA https://t.co/D60ZUVXfzP" / X Down 1-0 near the half.
campbell still on the bench - and west brom down early - pretty sure he wasnt the problem but oh well
new manager apparently doesn't rate Dike either but based off the Norwich match he might not have a clue who to rate at this point
yeah losing 5-0 to norwich is pretty bad - better for campbell and dike not to have startd that game anyway
They finally go back to a back-3 and West Brom looked far more difficult to break down. I thought Campbell played quite well at LCB. If he keeps getting reps then he and Banks should be really pushing for NT minutes.
