Another late sub appearance, trailing Darmstadt 1-0.

This understated tweet indicates that Bielefeld equalized in the 94th minute. Not seeing anything about Bello's play yet.

That goal moved them above the red line, that's why the excitement.

Bello enters in the 87th. Arminia concede the likely winning goal in the 90th. Oops.

    Started in friendly:

    Eventful day:

"Good, Arminia! Keep it up,” calls Arne Schulz out of the box. He is right. A few moments earlier, Bryan Lasme kept calm after a strong pass from Bellos and shoved the ball into the goal in a one-on-one with the Essen goalkeeper! 2:0, yes!

First Bello misses a penalty kick, but we keep at it and reward ourselves for a strong second section. Klimowicz dances out three opponents on the so-called beer mat and then passes across to Gebauer, who scores to make it 3-0. Very strong!

    Won 3-0.

He's a prime example of how much mentality matters. Because I don't think he has a very strong one, which is why he hasn't succeeded under pressure w/ the NT, Europe, or CCL. His raw tools are more than good enough, between his physical ability, skill, & instincts for the sport.

This was a poor investment of resources, opportunity, and time in comparison to players with a better overall package like Tolkin & Paredes.

I seem to be running into your posts everywhere. Again, agreed. The guy has the tools to be good, despite what others think. But he is just so tentative in all parts of his game at this point. Dude has really fallen off a cliff.

Bello dropped from the starting lineup for today's match, but on the bench. ESPN+ game for those in the states, if he plays.

perhaps a bit harsh...I think he has a great attitude. Was very impressed by his interviews when joining Bielefeld.

It has been a disaster but putting it all on his mentality is a lot.

It's similar to the Pepi move to Augsburg.....fit matters. team matters. etc

I was very surprised that he chose this move from ATL....seemed risky at the time. Going to a team not known as perennial first division team in a country like Germany with a lot of flux between divisons...is a big risk...it has hurt sargent, hoppe, etc as well recently.....

But yeah - the tools are all there....seems he hasn't actually developed much from the player he was when he first turned pro basically....might not be mentality...could be something cognitive, though....

Bielefeld is fighting for their lives and has been since he arrived - not necessarily the ideal place for a young player to learn, perhaps, as well....he is learning something for sure...but maybe not the things he needs to learn in terms of development....

He still has plenty of time to get it together, still quite young generally.

2-0 loss, though he scored tops on the team on two scoring sites I glanced at.
